This home was perfect for my family to stay at. Host provided lots of clear instructions, were very responsive to our questions. The retro arcade games were a hit with the kids, and the hot tub was a hit with the adults.

We loved the quiet, peaceful surroundings, the spaciousness of the cottage, and the beautiful views from every window. We love music and spent a couple of evenings just sipping wine and listening to music through the sound system routed through the ceilings. The kitchen was beyond well equipped! Further, Donna delivered extra pellets for the stove before we had to ask, and Erik generously mitigated the problem with the hot tub. Truly special hosts who care about their guests and their comfort.

Beautiful, peaceful spot, on the beach with beautiful river view, miles of hiking trails literally a few steps away. Just a gorgeous spot to enjoy Autumn. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Hosts are very responsive. We had a wonderful week here. Highly recommend!

We were a masters xc ski team in for some races and the House and Host were amazing. The house was cozy; they had the fire going for our arrival and the kitchen was set up to cook for our large group. The host was very attentive to help us get to where we needed to go during the snow storm, digging us out every day. The house had a wonderful character about it and made us all feel comfortably at home. We will rent this place again for our next trip/race to the area.

The girls had a wonderful stay at the North Sky Retreat. Julie was very helpful and her house was just perfect for four people to stay, each with their own bedroom. The house was exceptionally well stocked with supplies, linen, towels and those extras you may need. Julie accommodated the dog that accompanied on this trip as well. The fresh eggs were a bonus and the free range chickens were fun to watch. The grounds were lovely and the walking path was a perfect was to take in the nature around the house. Hopefully this stay will become a tradition! Thank you!

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

Vijay and Latha are the amazing hosts and the property is beautiful and homely. The hosts always responded quickly and the property was spot clean with all the listed amenities. We look forward to visiting the property again in different season.

What an amazing weekend! This was our second time at this spot and it did not disappoint!! The house was clean, super cozy and very spacious. The place was very well equipped, Carol and Hayley provided us with everything needed and then some! The decor was perfect and added a little magic to our book club weekend getaway! We also got lots of cuddles from the cats on the property and a little surprise visit from their dog Bailey on our last morning there! We look forward to our next stay at this cottage!

Our stay at the cabin on Golden Lake was absolutely perfect! As always, we were warmly greeted by Cindy, whose friendly smile and attentive care make every visit feel extra special. The cabin was already warm upon arrival, and its cozy ambiance welcomed us for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were delighted to find delicious Lindor chocolates waiting for us—a sweet and thoughtful touch! The log cabin itself is absolutely charming, with its 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The terrace offers stunning views of Golden Lake, where you can enjoy ice fishing or skating right outside your door. Plus, we discovered an incredible skating trail in the nearby woods—an absolute must-try for outdoor enthusiasts. We can’t wait to come back again. We had a beautiful stay at Janes. Everything was clean and easy to use. I appreciated the small touches, like having the wood already set up for a fire. We also saw about 15 dear on our way up from Ottawa, including on the road.

A bit of a drive but well worth the peace and quiet of this beautiful cabin in the woods! My friends and I spent our weekend kayaking, puzzling, and BBQing. Mike was so responsive and everything was very smooth. Would definitely come back!

This is a custom house with a very unique layout with direct riverfront access in a private neighbourhood. 5 beds (I believe 3 kings 2 queens), two dining areas, large kitchen and a centralized living space. Games room (pool, table tennis) above the double garage with parking for multiple vehicles (easily 5) on two separate driveways. Large sauna in the basement (it gets quite hot), and a very clean (and comfortable) hot tub on the first floor facing the river. We had a group of 7 and had no issues stretching out after a ski trip. Sound insulation of the house is excellent. Heated floors available in all the bathrooms and what appears to be most of the house. Two of the bedrooms did not have window shades. Dr. Brown was very accommodating with a later checkout time, and is very easy to talk to. This is a very unique airbnb experience.

We had a busy time with two family events and really enjoyed returning to the house to relax and enjoy your amazing back yard. It is truly a peaceful oasis! The children loved the pool and the adults all welcomed the evening hot tub. The flower gardens and pots are stunning. Thanks also for the lovely welcome gifts. We were very spoiled! The house was just perfect for our family. We are a family of 4 and travelled to Ottawa to meet my sister in law and mother in law- but needed a space to be able to spend the weekend all together. Monica's place is quite large and has so many unique areas to hang out, that anyone wanting a quiet space could have it. In the summer it would have been even more amazing with all the beautiful decks on the house. The beds were all comfortable and bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The kitchen was large and generally had most supplies. It was a cold weekend with a lot of snow- Monica took care of regular snow cleaning and the house/every room was very comfortable and warm. Monica was very kind and responsive to questions. We would love to stay here again.

We only stayed at Melissa's place for 1 night, but it was exactly what we needed. The facilities were all very clean, including the bunkie that we stayed in. It was cool to see all of their farm animals, and they also had a lot of different add ons that you can purchase to make your trip more worth your while.

Exactly what we were looking for! Pictures couldn’t do this place justice, such beautiful surroundings and the house was beautiful. House is just as described and it even had two electric stoves that were super useful for preparing meals since it was too cold for the BBQ. Jess was super responsive and accommodating as well! We saw lots of deers and heard a wolves pack!! Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for a place to unwind and disconnect, cant wait to be back. thank you for allowing us to stay :)

Was very comfortable to stay at Thomas's cottage. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids in the winter. The sauna was especially nice. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything worked well and communication was great.

My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend at Etienne’s cottage. The island was so interesting to explore and we hiked many trails. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a cosy weekend! We didn’t realize when booking that the main house was only a few hundred feet from the cottage but we still had privacy. In the summer, if other people rented the second cottage and you were all outside I do think that privacy would go down. Otherwise, we loved all of it and would highly recommend!!

Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

Had an amazing stay! The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the place was super peaceful and cozy. Perfect spot to just chill and unwind. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with some incredible scenery. Erica is a great host!

This is the nicest Airbnb I've stayed at in years. Alain & Paola are one of the few remaining hosts that care about the small details and personalized touch. The place was super clean, and I'm someone with high standards. The personalized message, guestbook and coffee, tea etc. I was very happy I could being my dog as well! She loved the outdoor space to run around. I'd stay there again!

I had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, private, and had easy access, making everything super convenient. I especially loved the nearby hiking trails—perfect for getting outdoors. The location offered great access to Ottawa without the hassle of staying in the city, which was a huge plus. The neighborhood was also very nice and peaceful. Highly recommend!
