We loved our stay at the poolhouse! Check in was easy and Tom and his colleagues were always fast to respond if we had questions. There are some restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and the house is perfectly located near the water. We traveled with two small children and would without hesitation stay at the poolhouse again:)

The place is beautiful, but you gonna freeze to death there, no heaters, and they got electricity problem, you gonna stay in darkness for straight 6hrs, the back up batteries doesn’t work, the fact that the full house has only 2 bathroom was a huge turn off, rooms are not ensuit… Host is very rude, they don’t care about guest, she kicks you out when it’s 10 on the day of check out.. we won’t go back there

Best Airbnb or any place for that matter we have ever stayed. Words and pictures can't describe how amazing the house, view and tranquility is. From the glass doors and windows that open up and disappear into the walls to the decor and amenities... nothing was missed. The road to the place is mentioned, Warren will meet you and guide you through the gates. The path is steep, and windy, only 4km, and is paved with 2 track pavers, passable with any car, 4WD is not necessary. It was one of the most fun parts. As for Warren, salt of the earth... I heard how warm and welcoming the Eastern Cape people are, Warren is so welcoming, friend for life kind of guy! If you stay for anything less than 3 days you will be very disappointed. 5 Star all the way. Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise.

We had a fantastic stay at Andre's place in Knysna. Thesen Island is such a great, central place to stay in Knysna. The house was perfect for our family, and catered for our every need. We will definitely be returning.

The perfect place for a family getaway. You will want for absolutely nothing if you choose to stay here. Great location, very centrally located and within walking distance of most supermarkets. The place itself is absolutely stunning, with every single amenity you could possibly ask for and the most amazing views. We had an incredible few days at the house in Knysna! It was so comfortable and inviting that we never wanted to leave. We enjoyed swimming, braaiing and relaxing while watching movies together. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, plus some lovely extras. The rooms were clean and the bed really comfortable .The owners Kate and Grant, were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would absolutely love to return whenever possible. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it!

Our principle contact was Jonathan who couldn’t have done more for us, a superb host who lives nearby. The property is well equipped throughout and located in a safe residential area just 200m from the estuary. We spent 24 wonderful days there. One point is that internal access to the upstairs is by a rather narrow spiral staircase which might not suit all ie elderly but for others ie children a point of excitement. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending both the property and hosts as a wonderful home to relax and unwind in. We’ve only found one other to match!

Loved the house and its situation. Beautifully presented. The biometrics required was a hassle but good to know how safe it is. Very good at responding to questions. Loved the kayaking- really didn’t want to leave. A great rental, thank you!

Beautiful home with great ammenities. We loved staying there. It was so peaceful with lots to do around us. If we didn't want to go out we could braai and swim and ride bikes which was lovely. Would definitely reccommend staying there.

This is one of favorite Air BnBs. Communication was smooth from the start. Kelvin is a gracious host - polite, friendly and respectful at all times. The house is equipped for a comfortable stay and even has beach chairs and an umbrella to use during the stay. Thank you for making this a memorable visit. We would’ve loved to stay longer!

The location right on the beach is absolutely fantastic, to hear the sound of the waves at night is magical. Martin is an excellent host.

This was a stunning place in a beautiful location. We could not have asked for better accommodation for our party of 9. The house is beautifully furnished, indoors and outdoors, and has breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean from a high vantage point. There was so much to do in the area that all our excursions were interesting and fun and if we opted to stay home and relax, we could take a stroll down to the beach, visit local restaurants or explore nearby hiking trails. Patricia and Ray were great hosts and made our stay easy and comfortable. Would definitely come back again to this special place!

We recently stayed at Maria’s lovely house and had a fantastic experience. The view was breathtaking, and the location was perfect—peaceful yet close to everything we needed. The house was incredibly well-equipped, making our stay super comfortable. We encountered a few minor challenges during our visit, but the owner handled them swiftly and professionally, ensuring everything was resolved quickly. Their responsiveness stood out and made a great impression. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we’d happily return. I highly recommend this place!

A beautiful home in a fantastic location! The home is beautifully designed and very comfortable. An incredible place to unwind and relax. We all loved the pool and struggled to get the kids to ever get out! We were unlucky with the weather during our time there but still had a wonderful time regardless!

Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend. We had some cockroaches and Tracy helped us instantly with traps and spray. Really great host!

From booking to checkout Doug and Carla were great hosts. Doug accommodated a late check-in, helped us register with security to access Thesen Island, and took us to the property for a walk-through. The home was spotless, incredibly spacious, and had every utility and modcon you need. A pleasant surprise was the addition of a pool between booking and arrival. The outside space and boat deck make for the ultimate Knysna vacation spent on the water. The restaurants and bars of Thesen Harbour Town are a 5 min walk. We will be back. Thank You!

Lovely property with everything that you need. I do think that there is some maintenance needed as it was not cheap to stay there.

We had a great time at Kim's place, the view from the deck alone was worth every cent. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and extremely spacious, coming and going was a breeze. thanks to the anti-bug mesh on the bedroom windows we could keep them open and have a constant supply of fresh and cool air which made the hot summer nights quite bearable (it's the little things that count). overall a lovely stay with zero issues. Big thanks to Vincent for giving us the tour :)
