We loved our stay in this house! It is right by the highway as others mentioned, but we honestly couldn't hear highway noise except when out on the deck. Our dog absolutely loved the backyard- it was a great size! I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to stay! Great location! The home is very well stocked with everything you need. It is our second time there and we will definitely be back!

Went for a group trip with friends and were hoping to see snow - and we did! It was a beautiful area, although those of us who drove in at night had a harder time finding the location than those of us who drove during the day. It is a switchback entrance but once you find it, it is easy to spot, and there are plenty of spots to turn around should you miss the entrance. We stayed warm throughout our trip and enjoyed local hiking and visiting local stores. Ashe County Cheese was certainly a highlight for a lot of us. We didn't have any issues, though there was a slight hiccup after the snow, and host was very responsive and we got the matter resolved quickly. Liked it so much we might return with our family next time!

This property was beautiful & oh so peaceful. We’re already planning a big trip in the summer! (Also trying to get friends to get married here because 😍) The hosts were extremely responsive & helpful. Every time I book an Airbnb for a special occasion I always put in the booking comments what it’s for (this time being for my husband’s birthday) & this was the first time ever that the hosts actually acknowledged it, they left us birthday cake with a note for my husband! So sweet & thoughtful & absolutely made my husband’s day which made my day☺️ their WiFi is AMAZING…. Literally reaches across to the other side of the big pond! Seriously, this place is so whimsical (fairies most definitely live by the stream👀). Only disclaimers: 1. If you plan to spend your entire stay on the property OVER PACK FOOD & DRINKS 🤣 closest gas station according to google maps is 16mins away & said it’s a dry county outside of city limits🤦🏻‍♀️ 2. Beautiful spot on a bend of the South Fork of the New River. Great porch views, very large stretch of river frontage, comfortable and well equipped home. Communication with the host was fast and very helpful. It was obvious that the host had worked very hard to clean up the property in the wake of hurricane Helene's devastation. Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for a family of 4 and 2 grandparents. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. My only complaint was there were 6 of us and only 5 towels. We purchased another towel and all was fine. Overall a great experience and we would stay here again.

Chucks place was just what we needed to begin and end each day! Mornings are beautifully peaceful with cows and chickens as neighbor’s! And coming back after spending the day in Boone was so relaxing! Excellent stay!

My husband and I rented the property for long term. We were moving to Ashe County and stayed at the property while our property was getting ready to move on. Wendy was very accommodating to our needs. She answered any question or concerns we had in a timely manner. Wendy went above and beyond for us. The property is very nice and quiet with lots of different beautiful views. We made friends with the cows in the pasture across from us. There are 3 other properties and all the tenants that stayed in them were so super nice. Wendy really made our stay nice and comfortable

Very cozy home! Definitely had that grandma chic feeling which as someone who grew up in the south had me feeling right at home!

Loved our stay at the 2BR cottage! Everything was very clean and seemed brand new. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. Most incredible beds. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Chad communicated regularly and provided a helpful guidebook and clear instructions on check/in and general use of the cottage. We spent a few hours at the winery while they had live music and a food truck and it was such a fun atmosphere. Chad and Crista are both very welcoming and made our stay perfect. We could not have asked for a better weekend!

This place was exactly what we were looking for and felt clean inside. The lot was peaceful and being able to walk the dog up the private street was great.

Rick and Pat’s house was amazing! We loved every second of it, from the large peaceful yard filled with deer, to the outside fire pit, comfy beds and super clean, lovely house! Loved our whole vacation and didn’t want to leave. Owners are very personable and communicative (quick to respond)We can’t wait to come back again to this amazing home! The farmhouse felt like home, was pristine, and has stunning views of the farm and sunset. This was our first trip with our 5 month old baby and went wonderfully. The house had enough space for us and our two dogs. We kept saying “I want this in our home” or “I love how they decorated”. We plan on making this an annual trip! Their recommendation list was so helpful too!

The cottage is cozy, homey, and stylish. It is very quiet around and the view of the countryside is beautiful. We strongly recommend this place - it is ideal for a small family and we are planning to come back sometime to explore more wineries in the area.

This place was beautiful and so refreshing.

Renee was a warm and welcoming host. It's absolutely understandable that she is in the top 1% of places in the area to stay. Everything was clean and as picture. Honestly even better than the pictures. The towels were thick, fluffy and smelled good. The cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very clean, it smelled fabulous and she even had fresh flowers in there. The homemade breakfast to order was the icing on the cake. We were here for our daughter's wedding and this stay helped us relax and not stress at all. We loved it! Thank you Renee it was nice meeting you 💕

This was our fourth year staying at Ron & Sharon’s cottage for our yearly trip to get a Christmas tree (shoutout to Mistletoe Meadows for yet another fantastic choose & cut experience). The cottage was clean, cozy, warm, and welcoming, just like it always is. Ron and Sharon are superb hosts. Communication with them is prompt and easy, and we’re completely comfortable with reaching out to them if we need help with anything. We can’t wait to come back again. In all honesty, we never want to leave.
