First off, Mary was very gracious and responded within an hour (at the latest) of any text that was sent to her. The home is located in a very peaceful, tranquil farm setting. It is an older home but has been updated with a care for details. It is beautifully decorated and quite charming. Our family of six were there to attend a wedding. The venue (which I would highly recommend. Mary has the details) was only about 15-20 minutes away. There were plenty of blankets and sheets and towels were provided. Appliances all looked brand new. Everything worked. This place felt like we were home. No complaints. Not sure if there is a lot to do in this area as we did not have time to explore but if you just want to get away and stay in a quiet place with lovely surroundings, then this is it! Very highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful stay! This was a last minute booking as our original Airbnb canceled. Suzanna was extremely quick to respond to all questions. She was very accommodating with our needs. Could not have been happier that our original Airbnb fell through. We were a group of 8 and the house was the perfect fit. The cabin was super cozy and lovely. Clean, comfortable, and just like the photos. Although, one of the bunk bed bedrooms did not come that way which would have been ideal since there were 4 children but there was a queen bed and a futon that we placed in the room for 2 of the children that worked out. A bunch of games were provided and we took advantage! Wifi is excellent! The view was absolutely stunning! And the surroundings so peaceful. We went skiing at Sugar Mountain which was an hour away. It was a perfect base! West Jefferson was 20 minutes and the restaurants were delicious. Red Dog and Bistro was a fave! And Ash County Cheese is a must! Highly highly recommend!!

Our family of 7 adults and one child had a great time this past week. Plenty of room and attention to detail was evident. We loved the fenced in side yard for our dog and access to the dock to enjoy the lake.

Excellent cabin! Probably the best Mountain View’s that I’ve ever had! The house is bigger than the pictures look, massive decks! The pool/ ping pong table and jacuzzi was really nice to have too! Freezer has an ice maker which is always nice! The basement does get pretty cold, you may want to bring a space heater. Also bring everything that you need, nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away.

There are some houses that need to be in a class of their own and Peaceful Horizons is certainly one of them! The views are breathtaking, the silence in the mountains is amazing, the house has everything you can imagine. Kitchen is very well stocked. There are clear labeled instructions on everything in the house. We arrived after dark and it was raining, we passed the driveway and had to do a very interesting turnaround. Try to get there in day light, it’s much easier. We loved it so much, we’re already rebooked in October! We celebrated our 22 anniversary and enjoyed having such peaceful time together. I couldn’t help but tear up every time I sat on the deck. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this incredible home. I’m so grateful to have been there.

This location was exactly what we wanted. Very private and relaxing with great views. Make sure you bring food as there is only one restaurant, the food and service were great but they are only open on the weekend and we came in Thursday afternoon, had to drive 30 mins back out for dinner. We enjoyed the awesome back porch and hot tub. We definitely had a great time and will return !

Fantastic place in silent surroundings, log fires and sunsets each evening followed by the hot tub! The 10 minute drive up the winding road from reception was a bit of a challenge multiple times a day, but the house is worth it. Horse riding each day was another highlight for the fam.

We had a lovely stay at Hawks Rest! We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing weekend to unplug, and it delivered! Very well appointed and cared for property. We would definitely recommend and hope to return!

This is probably one of my favorite Airbnb that I’ve ever stayed in; I cannot rate it high enough. The cabin is incredible! It might be the first time where seeing it in person was better than the photos. The view is stunning and I loved relaxing in the hot tub. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this place is perfect.

Cliffside is a gorgeous home with a view that belongs on a postcard. If you are looking for a peaceful, private, serene getaway, this home ticks all the boxes. Unlike a lot of rentals that have uncomfortable, low-quality furniture, Abbie has done a fabulous job of curating a space that is comfortable, chic, a little luxurious, and very welcoming. And everything was very, very clean. Getting to the property was easy thanks to good directions, but the climb up the mountainside might make those who are especially afraid of heights a bit nervous as it's steep (up to a 10 degree incline in some places) and narrow. However, it's paved and once I drove it the first time, each subsequent ascent or descent got easier. Once you get up to Cliffside, there is plenty of parking and you won't see any neighbors. For those who are mobility challenged, there is a full set of stairs to get from parking down to the cabin. (And obviously there are stairs inside to get to the main bedroom.)

Absolutely stunning place to stay! Everyone in our group wants to go back to this location every year! Such friendly people that works at this location as well.
