Beautiful home with all the amenities you could imagine. 10/10 for sure! Make sure you have a good driver because those roads are narrow! ❤️

This place was a hidden gym amongst the mountains close to boone..huge basement full of entertainment for my little kids was the highlight of the place.. outdoor gas fire pit and table made for a cool night of smores overlooking the valley and stars. Host was very responsive when i needed something. Place was very clean and spacious and great for 2 families. Would stay here again for sure!! Hot tub on the deck was awesome too

Lisa and James were awesome from booking,check in and check out. Very easy to get into, they mentioned the maps might lead us a different direction but had zero issues finding the place and getting right in. The home was exactly as described and amazing, never had an issue. SUPER PEACEFUL AND QUIET! Highly recommend stopping at a food store prior to coming up so once you’re here, you’re good to go!

We had a lovely stayed. When we first saw it we thought it was a cute place. Host had everything we need in the house. She was always responsive when I had questions. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful scenery, we loved listening to the cascading little waterfall while enjoying the jacuzzi tub on the deck right next to it. Love the spotlights so you can see it at night. Very much needed getaway for the weekend to relax and disconnect.

I don’t think any amount of time would’ve felt long enough staying at Anthony’s place. We felt right at home during our stay and absolutely loved the house and area. We loved how we could spend time together but also weren’t right on top of each other since there’s plenty of space in the three level home. I have two teenagers (16&17) who had their own bedrooms/bathrooms and us adults were able to have our own privacy on the lower level of the home. The kitchen had everything we wanted and needed and has a perfect layout for family meals. The porch was our favorite place, especially in the mornings. Being able to hear the creek while reading and having our morning coffee on the porch swing bed was so relaxing! My oldest son loved fishing the creek and exploring the woods. The grill was clean and worked perfectly. There were sticks for roasting marshmallows which was fantastic! There was firewood available (even though we came prepared with our own). It was a perfect trip for my family!

What an amazing few days! Perfect location in West Jefferson! If you intend to explore downtown there’s no need for your car if you stay at High Country Cottage! Perfect location. Also, right around the corner from family we were visiting. The house is adorable and spotless. Beds are so comfortable that my only problem was deciding how late I was going to sleep-in! There is also a little suite separately in the backyard so if my other sister and her husband come for a visit at the same time we can stay together but have privacy. We’ve stayed several places in WJ and all were super great but High Country Cottage takes the cake! PS: there is an awesome fire pit and cute lighting outside but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Next time!!!

I love staying here, the views are beautiful and it’s so relaxing! There is a little nook upstairs looking out over the mountains that’s my favorite! The beds are comfortable, the house was very clean, the kitchen was stocked well and the property is fenced. Gil is awesome as well and very helpful! No complaints at all about our stay.

If you're looking for views from heaven this is the place! Its breathtaking. Spacious, quiet, and picturesque. House is nestled between neighbors and you'd never know. Wildlife and wilderness meets quaint neighborhood... but at a golf resort. Only downfall is if you dont get groceries prior to arrival,you're out of luck during winter since your on the top of the mountain. Its about 20 to 30min down either direction for them (I shopped on the way in). Things to do are also sparse at this time of year. But, that wasn't the point for our trip, it was to "disappear" for a few days. Bryan was an awesome host. He kept intouch throughout the entire process. I had to make adjustments to my initial occupancy number and cut our trip short a day due to weather related precautions. He was accommodating for each request. Couldn't have had a better host. He invited us back and also made us aware he had other properties on the same resort. All around pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back!
