Stayed here for a girls Book Club trip! It was a large group (10 women) but the size of the home worked really well - there were enough bathrooms and we loved that we could all sit at the dining table in the kitchen together. The decor/aesthetic of the home is lovely, the kitchen was well-stocked, and we used the hot tub every day! The beach is so close as well, we went for lots of walks. Finally, loved the hanging chairs and Adirondacks on the side of the house, great spots for some quiet reading time. Would definitely recommend staying here for a quiet, peaceful beach vacation!

We had a short stay but a great time. The place was very clean, simple, but had everything we needed. The kitchen has everything you need, no need to bring much if anything to supplement from home in the way of utensils or pans. The beds were comfortable, no sagging mattresses and the linens were extremely cuddly. (So many pillows!) We were there in the cooler weather and the hvac system was both up to the task and not at all loud, if that’s a concern for anyone. The proximity to the beach was 1000% as advertised and our four kids (ages 3, 5, 7, and 10) ran back and forth to the beach all day. They adored the bunkbed room! The guidebook was a big help, and we will definitely be back as soon as we can. Thanks again!

This is a fantastic spot. I couldn’t have been happier with the stay communications to location and everything about it. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house has plenty of room for a large family. My son and his family along with myself enjoyed our 3 days relaxing at the house and at the beach. We will definitely use this house again.

Shannon was the perfect host - both proactive in her communication and helpful throughout our stay. Her apartment is as described - right by the beach, close to the shops and restaurants in Wrightsville and with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax. No complaints, for sure I’d stay again!

Shawn’s place was peaceful Beautiful and very clean . Loved sitting on the Deck looking out at the ocean. The pictures and description of the place were spot on . It’s in walking distance for places to eat or have a drink The beach is directly across the street It’s in a very nice neighborhood Hope to stay again sometime The kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need to cook meals

We booked a last minute trip to Barbee Mod and we are so glad we did! The house is in the perfect location. It was a quick walk to the beach, making it easy to leave every afternoon to put our daughter down for a nap. While she napped I was able to enjoy some peace and quiet relaxing in the sunroom. The home was exactly as described and perfect for our family of 4. The hosts were responsive to any needs or questions we had. They have gone above and beyond to supply everything to make your stay as stress free and relaxing as possible. We all had a great time, including our pup!

Very cute and comfortable beach house just across the street from beach access. Had everything we needed and then some. For a bottom floor, I was surprised by the amount of natural light. The hosts are quick to respond to any questions, and also provide a list of restaurant recommendations, noting those in walking distance.

This house is very cute, clean and in a great area. The only semi-downside was it being off of a main road so it was a little tricky entering and exiting, as well as the noise of the road. I would stay here again!

Well, it’s our 3rd time staying at Marty and Connie’s place so it’s safe to say that we love it! So cozy and comfortable. Needless to say, the dogs love exploring the back yard. They literally can’t get enough of it! Thank you for always being amazing hosts. Look forward to returning again this year! 🐾🫶🏼

Very responsive and kind hosts. Their home is beautifully decorated with easy access to local restaurants and beach just a short drive away! They were quick to resolve a problem we encountered.

Very nice beach cottage! Stephen's place really felt like home: a well stocked kitchen, lots of dining chairs and places to relax, big bathrooms, very comfortable beds and pillows! And even little things like night lights, sound machines, a portable fan, extra blankets, lots of pillows, outside games, and hand soap! The beach is a short 2 minute drive away...we had fun looking for shells even in the chilly weather! Stephen is probably the most responsive host I've ever communicated with! Him and his family made us feel very welcomed 🙂

Great stay! The hosts were very helpful and super responsive during the stay. The home was very clean, very easy to find, cozy and comfortable. Would recommend for anyone visiting the Wilmington downtown area!

We had a wonderful stay with our doggy even though the wet weather at the beginning turned into "A Thousand Year Storm" including a tornado warning! The property had everything we needed, is in near-new condition, had comfy beds, is close to many great places to eat and is within walking distance of the beach & the intercoastal waterway. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the yard even enticed a turtle for our pup to see! It was our first time at Oak Island and we loved the island charm and tranquil neighborhood. We hope to visit each year now!
