Just what was needed to break the monotony of winter. Gorgeous setting, so quiet and tranquil and enough to do should you want. House was as described , perfect location to explore Cotswolds area. Great recommendation for Thai takeaway on our arrival day given the lateness ! Excellent food. The wood fired hot tub was a wonderful addition and clear instructions on how to start the fire and the wood burner inside also . Definitely would visit again. Rob and James were excellent hosts. Our family booked Olly and Lois’s accommodation for a last minute weekend trip, and it could not have gone better. The communication about our trip was brilliant and allowed us to arrive stress free. The property itself is gorgeous. As a family of four we had ample room, and anything we could have needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable, and it was warm and cozy. The location is excellent for taking trips to local attractions and on site it’s a short walk to the pool and restaurant. The hosts had put so much thought into helping guests enjoy their time, with a detailed guide covering everything you might want to know, and to make it even more special they allowed us extra time to stay later when I explained we missed our chance to experience the pool due to a muddle with timing. I am so glad we booked, and would highly recommend this place to others. Thank you, Olly and Lois - we had a wonderful time!

Beautiful surroundings to a cozy cottage. Lots of nature to enjoy. Kitchen well equipped and Catherine gave us fresh veg from the garden. She and Dai were super kind and helpful. Enjoy the total peace and quiet at night. Thank you!

We choose this beautiful house for a family 'get together' to celebrate a ' big' birthday and we couldn't have chosen better. We all had an amazing time. The house is in a beautiful setting and thankfully we had some beautiful spring sunshine which showed the house off to it's best and meant that we could sit outside admiring the view. It had everything we needed and more. The games room, especially, was a big hit with all ages! We also enjoyed having a walk round the Nature Reserve, swimming in the pool and playing tennis. The birthday and other treats were really appreciated. Thank you Angela and Darren - we would love to come back to your lovely house and make more happy memories one day!

The property has beautiful views over the lake and we could see loads of different water birds. The view was even better than the photos suggested. The property was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and has an excellent coffee machine. This would be perfect for an extended family group or 2 families sharing. There was lots of storage and places for shoes and coats. The onsite restaurant Balihoo was excellent especially if you are coeliac. There was also a pizza shack that my kids said was great. Clare was a proactive host and the property is run by Orion holidays who sent plenty of communication and information. We will definitely visit again.

Warm, comfy and clean. Ideal location near the restaurant and spa. Great location and facilities for a gathering with my friends. Communication with host was excellent and always helpful. Would definitely return.

Sue was a fantastic host, and The Retreat was a gorgeous place to stay. It was immaculate, spacious and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed the garden and overall peacefulness of the location. Provision of baby equipment was excellent and a huge help. Thank you so much! We'd love to return.
