Staying at this cabin in the mountains at, was truly a dream come true. The check-in process was incredibly smooth, with clear instructions that made everything effortless. From the moment we arrived, we felt at peace. The cabin is beautifully designed, cozy, and felt just like home. One of the most magical moments was spotting a kangaroo right outside the cabin at night! Waking up to breathtaking mountain views and the sounds of nature was simply amazing. We would absolutely love to stay again!

Would recommend this place. Right near the pub and if your a visitor needing to se kangaroos they are right there. My mom was visiting from Canada and very happy with where we stayed.

Cathy's place is absolutely amazing. The house is incredible, beautifully built with an open living spacs. And the views are just beyond. Worth every dollar spent, can't wait to go back again. 🥰🥰🥰

We really enjoyed our stay! Just one note on the supply of toilet paper, we didnt have another roll available. And could possibly do with a mat on the floor upon entrance due to the wet and dewy weather, didnt want to mess up the floors with damp shoes.

Lovely cosy house with beautiful surroundings. Even with other accomodation around it was quite private. Lots of friendly cockatoos around as well :)

Catherine's place was beautiful and the garden a delight to walk through. Easy to communicate and always available. Keven came and met us soon after check in which we thought was very good of him. Sorry Catherine was unwell so we never met her.

Die Unterkunft entsprach den Erwartungen. Die in anderen Rezensionen thematisierte Vorschriften nahmen wir nicht wahr, da alles "comon sense" war. Bei unserem Besuch herrschte ein Fire ban - wir sahen kein Brennholz, haben aber auch nicht weiter danach gesucht. Ich würde in diesem Preissegment Brennholz erwarten. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alles funktioniert und ist sauber. Wir hatten eine super Zeit! Vielen Dank Cathy!

Really enjoyed our stay - great location - easy walk to town but still saw lots of visiting wildlife. The house was very clean and comfortable. Great to be able to bring our dog. Thanks for having us!

Our extended family just spent the week at Calando Hill. It felt like being at an exclusive 5 Star resort in regional Victoria. This included the plush bathrobes, fantastic amenities such as the pool, entertainment system, billiard table, cooks kitchen and beautiful interiors. The house itself is enormous, but felt cosy and inviting. The views all around are spectacular… and if you like solitude, this is the perfect place. We also managed to fit in a winery visit, hike to a beautiful waterfall and lunch at the local pub in Loxton. This place has something for everyone, and to top it off it’s dog friendly! Thanks Richard and Anita for welcoming us, I am definitely planning a return trip!

Very well-presented restoration of a piece of history with appropriate furniture and colour palette, yet all the mod cons to be comfortable. Loved the ambience and going on an early morning walk with the chickens and geese

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The house is just amazing and despite the recent fires we saw plenty of wildlife. We did several hikes in the Grampians and the location of the house was perfect for that.

Thanks Peta and Brendan for a great place to stay. Plenty of room for our large family to stay comfortably. Only two nights, for a family wedding, so sadly didn’t have time to enjoy the pool table. Good entertainment options. Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a very peaceful week, taking our two GSDs we were very happy to find a large, private and secure garden. A very peaceful street and just a short walk from the town centre. Lots of local options for food and drinks between Stawell, Pomonal and Halls Gap.

We had a family weekend away with our adult kids - perfect place to relax, focus on enjoying the quieter life and reconnect as family. The accom was fabulous with a large open plan living space and a fully equipped kitchen. We spent most of our time on the verandah listening to the birds and watching the roos jump past. The beds were comfy and the bathroom simple, functional and very clean! We will most definitely stay here again any time we come to Ararat/Grampians! Thanks to Duncan & Hannah who were exceptionally accommodating and responsive. It's great when the hosts make you feel like welcomed friends 🧡

We had a lovely stay at this place. A great place to unwind from the city and enjoy the Australian bush.

Our holiday in Halls Gap was cut short due to the December 2024 bushfire. The 'Leave Now' evacuation order came at 10.30pm. Wayne directly contacted us to check that we were OK. He also graciously refunded unused tariff for days not used. So, very impressed with "superhost" Wayne!!

I felt that Sea Lake wrapped me in their arms and made me feel part of the community. For a moment in time I was a local and I loved it. The lodgings just continued the feeling with all the little things that made me feel like I was at home. Great stay, great communication from Rob, heaps to do and just an easy stroll from the pub. 🤗

We loved our stay here. The place had everything we needed and the tub was a bonus. The location was beautiful, the wildlife was magic and the host was very good with communication. I highly recommend the place for a relaxing stay.

Lovely stay at Serenity 2 while in Halls Gap for the Texture festival. Easy to get around and walking distance to all our classes. Beautiful backyard with native birds and kangaroos frequently visiting.

Golton is a very impressive property and we thoroughly recommend. Its attention to all comforts and ease of access into and within is to be commended. We really can not fault this property. The location was perfect. The house is definitely 5 stars. Modern, extremely clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Beds and linen were luxurious. Bathrooms were large. Has a lovely verandah to sit and enjoy the view and sunshine. Thank you Roslyn & Daryl.

We had a great stay in the Grampians over the long weekend. Wendy and Neil provided a welcoming and friendly service. I would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to explore this area or looking for a quiet getaway.

Great location, lots of local wildlife with Kangaroos everywhere. Close to the zoo. very comfortable with plenty of sleeping room.
