We stayed here 5 nights. This nicely remodeled, well-equipped and provisioned, super comfy home is in a quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance of several restaurants and super convenient to scenic Route 35. It's 10 minutes to Winona. From the kitchen window, you can look down the street and see the Mississippi River. The couple of times I messaged the hosts, they replied within seconds. The water pressure was great, there was plenty of hot water, and every outlet and light we used worked as did the appliances and Wi-Fi. We didn't bring our dogs on this trip, but dogs are clearly welcome (e.g., treats, dishes). We would happily return, including for a longer stay. Be aware that the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are steep (the price of high ceilings!). We opted to leave our bags in the large laundry room and just take upstairs the few things we needed. At present, the garage is unavailable; we parked in the drive, which put us a couple of steps from the entrance.

We rented Tanya’s place as overflow for our out of town Thanksgiving guests. The home is very comfortable and in a perfect location.

This is a great spot located between Winona and La Crosse with so many things to do! The Airbnb is located right next to railroad tracks but the host does provide earplugs to help with the noise. The directions were very clear to get to the home. The home was very clean and aesthetic! The host provided many board games and the house had lots to do for a quiet night in. Definitely would come back!

Everything as expected. Nice quiet neighborhood. Lots of natural light in the home made for a pleasant stay.

A Heartfelt and Healing Getaway This home truly has everything you need for a perfect stay—but what made it unforgettable was how it made us feel. As a single mom of teenage boys, life can be a lot. This peaceful retreat gave us the space to reconnect, breathe, and just be. We spent time down at the river, laughed together, and watched my sons play like they were little again—it brought tears to my eyes. The home is spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need. The soaking tub was a dream, and the whole place felt like a warm hug. The host was unbelievably kind, helpful, and generous—going above and beyond in every way. This stay brought healing, joy, and peace back into our hearts, and I’ll be forever grateful. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay, this is it. We can’t wait to return.

From beginning to end this was the perfect stay. Traveling with my parents to an Airbnb, can be nerve wracking, as they are quite discerning. To my delight, they couldn't have been more pleased. We got to all stay together, in a home, that felt like we were seeing a real piece of the town. The thoughtful touches, the comfortable beds, and the clear care and love they put into this place is apparent from every angle. After the airlines lost my baggage and delivered it to the Airbnb a day earlier than my check-in, Celeste went out of her way to meet the courier late at night to ensure my belongings were safe. Furthermore, after being out all day during a snowstorm, we came back home to shoveled and salted walk ways. Do not hesitate to stay here for one second. We will be back.

Quaint home along the Mississippi River that is well-stocked and the perfect place for a cozy fall gathering (especially with the pellet stove running). Instructions were clear and helpful, Andrew was quick to respond and is a great host! The loft area could be difficult for older guests or small children to access, but fun for kids of the right age.

First time staying here as an alternate option and was happy with the location, stay, and comfort. Definitely considering for future trips for fishing and otherwise.

We enjoyed our stay! Samantha & Tim were great host & responsive with any questions we had. The house was very clean and had all the comforts we had hoped for. We would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend!!!

We (two adults and a dog) enjoyed everything about this cabin. The best part was watching sunrises over the Black River through the living room windows while we enjoyed our coffee. All the furniture was comfortable. The host also had thoughtful items around for use, like bug spray, campfire marshmallows, and dog toys. We had a peaceful weekend here.

What an AMAZING TREASURE of a property!! We stayed in the middle cabin, which is conveniently closest to the restroom but not by any means “too close”. Despite having 3 cabins near each other, the views from the windows for the most part made us feel like we were the only cabin and completely surrounded by nature (the skylights with views of the tree tops from bed really took that “retreat” feeling over the top). Sweet bird chirps gently waking us up in the morning, a little hiking trail that was the perfect challenge and scenic level, and hands down the most shockingly clean and cute restrooms for a wooded surrounding just put icing on the cake. I’m very tempted to make the long drive back to check out some of the other properties she has that look equally as cool! Thanks for everything, Chelsi!

Martha’s Place was the perfect place for my group of friends to get together. The house was spacious and perfectly decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked. Danielle the host was great with communication and was very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

I really don't want to write this review, but that's only because I fear the house will be booked next time I want to use it for writing this review. First off, the place was pretty easy to find even though it is out in the country. It is on a private road and tucked back in the woods. If you are looking for "City" then this is not your place. Now, if you are looking for Peace and Tranquility, well that's a different story. We did not see anyone else throughout our stay. The house itself was very cool. Built out of concrete but very Cozy. My husband and I fell in love with it as soon as we walked through the door. It's a place I wish we owned. Thank you to the owners for sharing your place with us!! We are definitely looking forward to our next stay!
