Wirksworth : locations de vacances avec salon de jardin

We live in Australia and headed back to the UK. We wanted to catch up with old friends and this was the perfect place. Rooms were big and comfy and quiet. Living space was great for the size of our group. We went in December so didn’t use the outside space much but I imagine at other times of the year the garden would be amazing. We really loved our stay at the cottage. It’s so cosy and has everything you need. We felt right at home and would love to visit again. The village is beautiful too with lots to do in the area.

Beautiful and very roomy and spacious house. Warm and comfortable. Well equipped.Particularly for the two dogs - utility room and nice secure garden and park very close. Great to have 4 x bathrooms/shower rooms. Great walking distance into town. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay. The hot tub was lovely and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We would definitely book again.

Lovely 3 bedroom apartment in a peaceful location with a stunning view across the valley. Comfortable beds and great showers. It is the ground floor of a house with the owners living above, but it has separate access from the side and there was no noise from above at all. The spacious locked shed was an added bonus for storing my husbands bike. Just 5-10 mins walk down the hill to the shops, train station, open air swimming pool, cafes and restaurants in Hathersage. And only 25 minutes drive into Sheffield. The George was a lovely spot for a very tasty evening meal. Stunning walks from the door, including up to Stanage Edge. A great spot to stay for a walking holiday in the Peak District- we highly recommend it!

It's like a home from home! A very well equipped and comfortable place to stay. Beautiful walks from the door and a good selection of pubs within walking distance.

I told Craig that I have heavy bags and he kindly offered to help me since there’s a few steps up to the apartment. He even came by and helped me with my heavy bags again and took me to the train station. The place fits two perfectly and it was very cozy and warm. Craig always answered my questions and replied to my emails. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe and I like that it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Almost everything is close by; restaurants, groceries, shopping, etc. Thank you so much Craig.

Very recommended. Welcoming and very friendly hosts. Clean and spacious apartment. Many things available in the apartment: biscuits, minced pie, coffee, tea, walking guides and maps,... Close to very beautiful Peak District spots.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, vraiment. Le logement est tout à fait idéalement bien situé (en plein centre ville) ; il est conforme aux photos et très fonctionnel. Tout pour nous a été absolument parfait. Nous n'avons rien à redire, au contraire, et reviendrons volontiers. Quant à Philip, qui nous a accueilli sur place, il est très sympathique, un hôte au top ! (il y avait la barrière de la langue, qui n'a pas permis de longues discussions, notre anglais étant ultra limité, ce qui ne nous a pas empêché de le trouver très très sympa !!). Il nous a donné beaucoup d'informations, (notamment sur ses restaurants préférés : info appréciable quand on ne connait pas la ville !). Philip est un très bon hôte. Nous reviendrons volontiers, autant pour l'hôte que pour le logement ! Tout nous a plu.

Rosie's studio was clean, modern, bright and had everything you could possibly need during your stay - above and beyond the usual helpful extras. Initially we were worried that parking on the road might be a problem but we always found a spot right outside. It is close to all the restaurants and shops of Ecclesall Rd and also Endcliffe Park where you can walk right out into the Peak District. We would definitely stay here again.

Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

We had a perfect stay in this lovely studio apartment. Very quiet in a leafy road within walking distance to all the conveniences of Buxton. Parking was easy in the driveway. Access through a separate entrance adjoined to a main property. Upon entering there was a shoe rack which was handy for muddy footwear before ascending the set of stairs to the studio. The apartment contained everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. A separate sofa area for reading, watching TV etc, a kitchen to cook your own meals if required. Welcome gifts were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The shower was powerful and hot. I can only imagine this studio must have a lot of returning guests because we couldn’t fault anything and definitely hope to return soon. The surrounding area has many walks from Buxton itself and within a short drive. We also visited Lyme Park which is worth the 30 min drive.

I am torn - I want to leave a tremendous review but I don't want anyone else to know about this gem! From start to finish this has been perfect. My daughter and I have enjoyed every minute. Lisa sent great instructions before we arrived. Once we were in the property, we were delighted by such attention to detail - little notes to explain how everything worked - milk and fresh bread supplied - a huge selection of teas and coffees - nothing had been overlooked. The bed was very comfy and Lisa supplied an air bed too which was also very comfy. The room was beautiful, decorated with real flare, the location was very quiet and we felt very safe. It really was fabulous. We didn't need to leave in a rush and Lisa said that was fine, just to let her know when we had vacated - magic! All in all - 10/10 - 5* - perfect. Thank you very much indeed.

Our stay in Jo and John’s flat was just what we needed and we had a lovely 5 days there. The flat is comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished. It is right in the middle of town and central to the Peak District walks and places of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made the most of our time there. Thank you.

Ideal for what we needed and a great find in Buxton, will be staying again. No complaints at all.

Anybody that wants to go the peak district and derbyshire dales, this is the place for you. This was ideal location for us, Matlock & Bakewell both 15mins away, Chesterfield was even less. It couldnt have been better. The accommodation was excellent, peaceful, private and more than enough room. I particularly enjoyed the walk in shower and the bed, it has to be the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Everything you would need was provided including wifi, Netflix and an area for the dog to have a run about. My wife I enjoyed our short break, I fully recommend this accommodation, this has to be the best air bnb we've stayed at and we've stayed at a few. The hosts where very nice and friendly, will differnetly like to go back.

The location is great and Scott was a great host, communication was fantastic and the place was exactly as described. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home, so cozy and everything you need for a comfortable trip. Wirksworth is very cute and there are lovely towns close by to explore. Would definitely stay again

The Annexe is a great Airbnb, ideal for a couple. We had an excellent week there and it was always nice to go back in the evening to relax after our day out. It’s was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay where there’s lots of places to go for a drink or a meal, the Annexe is ideally placed in the centre of Poynton. It’s only a short walk to the railway station for a 20 minute ride into the centre of Manchester. Paul and Rosie were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely look forward to staying at Paul & Rosie’s again.

Garden Retreat is a lovely ground floor apartment with direct access to a lovely garden. The property was spotlessly clean with lots of additional touches such as phone chargers and torch. It was actually larger than I expected. It was comfortable with everything I could need and more. A large kitchen, comfortable lounge and quiet bedroom. The shower is blissful! Jonathan is lovely, welcoming but also respectful of privacy. There if needed. It’s about a 25 minute easy walk into Belper with its shops and eateries. Lots of great walks from the apartment and Belper. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit with my two dogs. I do hope I can visit again.
