Beautiful and very roomy and spacious house. Warm and comfortable. Well equipped.Particularly for the two dogs - utility room and nice secure garden and park very close. Great to have 4 x bathrooms/shower rooms. Great walking distance into town. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

Molly was a great host. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. Great recommendation from Molly about The Old Horns Pub, lovely ambience and great food!!

Terry was very helpful and responsive. The Forge is very quaint, its clean but not pristine (decor is aging) but homely and comfortable. My parents found it a little difficult as the sofas are very low., and the downstairs bedroom option is only a sofa bed so wasn't suitable for them as I had hoped. But there was room for everyone and it was lovely and warm. Kitchen well stocked for Christmas cooking, although there are no numbers left on the cooker dials so that was a bit of guess work. The parking was a bit irritating as only one space at the cottage so loading and unloading of multiple cars was messy. Chinley is a fantastic location with lovely views, ample shops and pubs for all the basics and a nature reserve where you can let the dogs off lead. A great place for large families to come together to cook and eat together, various comfort levels for the beds which were basic, bathroom facilities very basic/dated. This large house was a Christmas Blessing to our family

The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches round the place, bubble bath, washing up liquid, blankets and some lovely welcome treats. The village is so beautiful and the cottage is absolutely lovely. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home and excellent hosts. Always ready to answer any questions we had and popped by when we needed help Would 100% stay here again. The home is well equipped and decorated to a high standard. The area is peaceful and perfect for a getaway. We was here for a friend's wedding, so didn't get to explore the area too much but the house was a great place to relax after a long day. Thanks to Robbie & Kelly for being excellent hosts.

Had an amazing stay. Perfect location for visiting the surrounding hills. Leek has everything you need, with Stoke right on the doorstep for cinemas / entertainment etc. The property was immaculate, lovely fixtures and fittings, everything we needed, spotlessly clean. Great instructions to find / get into the property, with directions for parking / finding our way around town. Would highly recommend and will hopefully stay again soon!

Excellent property, very clean and Dan was always at the end of the phone for anything we required, including recommendations for the family trip. Highly recommended.

The house is large and roomy and clean and tidy throughout with ample parking outside the property. The area is very quiet and secure. The house has fantastic amenities and has the bonus of a games room with pool table/dart board and various DVDs and board games to help pass the hours. Rona is the perfect host and was quick to reply to any queries we had. We would definitely return to this property if we are in the area again.

I loved spending Christmas at this caravan. It was beautifully warm and cosy in a gorgeous location with lots of excellent walking routes. Lovely hosts make you feel so welcome too.

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse - the postcode took us to the farm, but the cottages were close by and easy to find. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and there was plenty of space for 10. The kids loved the swimming pool and football field. Highly recommended.

We used the accommodation for a team meeting and just blown away by it. It was our most productive yet fun and relaxed meeting yet, everything we hoped for and more. Thank you!

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Festively decorated and we had a nice welcome surprise on arrival. Check-in was super easy and we had quick replies with any queries we had. Comfy beds and vintage decor and furniture. Only negative was that I thought the radiator in the double room wasn’t working, until check out day when I realised it was just turned down to zero! So I was chilly most nights! 🤣. The swimming pool was great and we had it all to ourselves which was a bonus. I didn’t see the games room but friends kids that visited had a great time there. I would recommend and I would stay again for sure!

I had a lovely stay at this Airbnb near the Peak District! The place was even better than the photos—beautifully maintained, clean, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the host was incredibly responsive and kind, making sure everything went smoothly. I truly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Could not fault the place ! Such a beautiful house , finished to a great standard and absolutely spotless ! Definitely would stay again 100% The only downside and I knew this before booking was the early checkout ! As you can’t check in until 1600hrs we believe you should be allowed to check out at the earliest 1100hrs ! However didn’t affect our stay and a beautiful place . Many thanks .

What a fabulous little cottage right in the heart of the country and walkable to The Talbot Inn which serves amazing food and great ambience. We absolutely loved our stay and even though it is a small place it worked for the 3 of us and our dog! Kelly is an excellent host always responsive and offering advice and suggestions. Great place to stay. Cosy and quiet. 20 minute walk to Belper village and Tesco Express 5 min walk away. Would definitely stay again :)

Where to start…. As soon as we’d booked the accommodation Gemma was in contact promptly and was super friendly and helpful. The instructions on how to get the property were detailed and accurate. The property itself is in a beautiful location with amazing views 360 and lots of wildlife- as well as sheep, we saw deer and heard woodpeckers! It is quiet and private. The property itself was immaculate and beautifully looked after. As a visitor, you want for nothing as the cottage is so well equipped. There was a lovely bottle of wine and milk for us on arrival and even a few treats for the dog! The living space on the mezzanine was so comfortable and when the log burner was on super cosy and romantic. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom has the best shower! I cannot speak highly enough of the property and Gemma and will definitely go back again. Exceptional 😊😊😊

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

we can't thank Wendy enough for letting us stay in her home. It is a gorgeous home from home cottage. She has literally thought of every single detail even down to hot water bottles and lego for ghe children. Our whole family did not want to leave. The cottage was absolutely spotless on arrival. Beds are extremely comfortable! Location is perfect aswell. Wendy gave full instructions to make our stay so easy We hope to visit again soon *****

A lovely, peaceful place to stay for a couple. We took our dogs as well and the garden was very welcome for them to run around in. Couple of short walks (20 mins) around the railway tracks or alongside the canal. The lodge was warm, which was very welcome during the chilly few days we had. Such a peaceful place, no nighttime disturbance at all. Recommended!

The Homestead was a lovely place to stay in what in our opinion is one of the nicest villages in The Peak District. The cottage exceeded our expectations, even after reading the many glowing reviews. It was homely and welcoming, yet spacious and very well-equipped. Every room was thoughtfully presented. We especially liked cooking in the impressive kitchen and relaxing during the cold evenings in the warm and comforting lounge. Judith is a fantastic host. Her communication was excellent, all instructions clear. It is obvious the she is both an experienced and caring host of many years. Finally a quick shout out for the location. For those that are perhaps new to The Peak District and wondering which part to stay in, Tideswell gets our votes. Wonderful dales walks can be accessed from the village and it is within 15 minutes drive of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Buxton. We couldn't recommend more highly. When we return to this area, we know where we shall be staying again.
