We stayed here for my mums 60th. It was the perfect spot for a family weekend away. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed.

Lovely relaxing and peaceful stay. Property as described and had all we needed. Rural so you need a car to get places, but within easy distance of Llangollen and Ruthin. Enjoyed our stay here

What a lovely cottage, and a great host. We chose this cottage because of the quiet location and the hot tub to chill out in, and we were not disappointed. It’s close enough to Chester to access the shops and restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Lots of walks close by, a nice little village shop and local pub. What more could you ask for. The cottage itself is immaculately presented, very tastefully furnished and has a nice blend of traditional and modern. Looking forward to returning.

Great place to stay, absolutely loved it. The attention to detail is amazing, very well kitted out kitchen. Will most definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at Pilgrim Cottage. Cosy, easy to find, and squeaky clean! We didn’t use the hot tub as we were out for most of the day, but it is a beautiful set up and it was a shame not to have had time to give it a go. The beds were really comfy and we so slept well with it being so quiet. Overall, we would recommend and thank you Sam for being so communicative ☺️

What a fantastic stay! The property is stunning and the undercover hot tub lovely. The location is great for visiting North Wales. We told Suzy it was our daughter's birthday whilst we were there and she put up balloons, a birthday banner and even left us a cake! Very much appreciated. Would highly recommend the property.

Our second time staying here and we’d come back again any time :) Our hosts could not have been more helpful. The location is great. The space is private and lovely. Hot tub, log fire and a great view a lovely place to come for a break and really well situated to get to lots of places in wales.

If you would like to get away someplace private and peaceful and just to relax I couldn’t recommend this more! It’s a lovely place and just amazing. Plenty to do nearby and just a great time!

We absolutely loved our stay at the stables, the accommodation had a unique and rustic look with little details that made the stay easy and enjoyable. We absolutely loved the Vespa which was one of the reasons why we booked. Thank you very much for being so accommodating and welcoming. We hope to return for another trip.

Robert’s was a real ‘home from home’ (sorry for the cliche but it was). We felt right at home in a cute, pristine and peaceful setting that had everything you’d ever need. The beautiful courtyard garden at the rear was right on the towpath but still peaceful to sit out and have breakfast while we watched the world go by slowly - after we’d all slept so, so well. The cottage is also really convenient for Chester which we visited on the Saturday and we were really impressed with the huge variety of shops and restaurants. So we ran out of time for the walkable pubs near the cottage, but appreciated the recommendations and really clear instructions anyway! Thanks Robert for sharing your home and a wonderful stay!

From the moment I booked, Kate was incredibly friendly and helpful. Really went the extra mile with recommendations for us. On arrival we were all really excited to be there. The place is immaculate and just as good as it looks. Beautifully furnished, cosy, has everything you need and was ideal for a member of the group with mobility issues as there's a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Lovely place and lovely hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Pinfold Barns to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday. The location was perfect—peaceful, beautiful surroundings and ideally situated for meeting up with family travelling from the Wirral. The barn was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxed and memorable weekend. Alison was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. A small issue with the tap was fixed quickly and without any hassle, which we really appreciated. The place was also fantastic for the kids—plenty of games to keep them entertained, and they were especially fascinated by the collection of CDs (or “records,” as they called them!). They had a great time picking some out and playing them. Overall, a perfect place for a special family gathering. Highly recommended!

It was without doubt one of the best places we’ve stayed in! Everything had been thought of and it was very comfortable for our stay. Great location and perfect for what we wanted and everything easy to drive to with good access. Lovely garden for our small dog too. Scott was always on hand if needed.

A lovely house in a great location,right on the riverbank. Very close to the city but with a very peaceful and idyllic feel. Chris is an excellent host ,very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend Chris and Rondeva as a great base to explore and enjoy a very beautiful city.

This place is an absolute gem, hosts were fantastic, cottage was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. Private parking, beautiful peaceful surroundings and only a short drive to some great restaurants and pubs. You feel like you’re in the countryside but only 10 minutes away from Chester and all it has to offer. So lucky to have found such a great place, thank you Sean and Trish, you made us feel very welcome

Second time round staying at Tim’s lovely Airbnb. The perfect couple of stays, quiet and clean. The owners are lovely too. Would 100% recommend and stay again

A lovely and very comfortable little barn with great hosts. Excellent communication and flexibility: We booked on the day of arrival and Kim very quickly replied offering us early arrival should we wish. Very highly recommended.

We were blown away by how incredible this place was, so idyllic and like a fairytale just simply stunning and fantastic space and places for the dogs to explore. We really didn’t want to leave! Greg was so helpful and friendly could not fault one thing about this amazing place.

We stayed at Owl's Watch over the Christmas period. It was a lovely hideaway and had everything you need. We appreciated the fresh pint of milk, Welsh cakes and wood to get the fire started. The property was clean and modern throughout and had some Christmas decorations so it felt like a home away from home. Everything was laid out very logically and felt well designed. We hope to come back at some point! :-)

The house is beautiful. Despite the fact is antique, the appliances and decoration style are pretty modern. The rooms are spacious and Matthew is an excellent host. We felt at home for the 30 days we spent there.

Gamul place is right in the heart of the city, it is tucked away off the high road and quiet but a quick walk from restaurants, bars, shops and the cathedral. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, extra special touches such as milk, tea, coffee and fruit really made our stay wonderful. All of the restaurants that Rod suggested were fabulous- I would most definitely stay again.

Golly Farm is a superb quality place to stay! Mandy is an incredible host who communicates well and knows just how to make her guests feel welcome and at home. Her attention to detail is second to none and we loved the style and finishing touches. There’s a good selection of dvds and books and two pubs within a 40 minute walk along the lanes into Rossett. We ate at The Alyn and we’re served well by very friendly staff. We highly recommend Golly Farm if you’re thinking of visiting Chester and Alexander’s Live is a great little venue in Chester if you fancy an evening of live entertainment!
