For anyone travelling to Wise, VA to visit town or visit a student attending UVA Wise, this spot is great! Close enough to campus to walk if needed, and close enough to Main St in Wise to walk there too! Living room was comfy for relaxing at the end of the day. Even though the house is on a busier road in town, the traffic noise was minimal. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Gorgeous outdoor space and pool - we practically spent all of our time outside as it was just too beautiful not to! Great location close to the town of Big Stone Gap and a short drive to High Knob. Dee was a very responsive and accommodating host! We loved the stylish space and found the house to be well appointed for all of our needs.

A++++++ This property had everything we needed, it was clean and conveniently located in the heart of the city. Starbucks, grocery, stations, fast food and MORE were all just a mile away or less. Starbucks was a HUGE plus.😝 Pets allowed! So the sidewalks made walking our dog very easy. Rebecca and Calviston were absolutely incredible hosts! They always responded immediately and helped answer all of my questions with ease. They even went out of their way on two separate occasions to accommodate us. They quite literally went above and beyond to make our stay that much more comfortable. I highly recommend Tanglewood Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area, and I highly recommend these hosts! We look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality ♥️

The house was perfect for a small group that needed to be close to town and also had plenty of room to spread out in.

we come up for the first time to ride the spearhead trails It was just what we were looking for, older cabin style house parking for a truck and trailer was a tad inadequate but there was place to park our vehicle close to the cabin

This home was perfect for my two boys and I while we were in town visiting family. It was clean and had eveything we needed. I booked last minute and was able to check in just a couple hours later. We will definitely be staying again!

The Alley House is a charming place to stay. So much so that I spent two weeks there. I am from the area but haven’t lived there for many years. It’s great to have a charming comfortable place to accommodate us while in the area visiting family. This will be my go-to for future visits.
