I really loved this place. Perfect for a climbing trip to the Red River Gorge! Only about 10 minutes from Muir Valley, and it’s off one of the main roads in the area making it pretty easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and responsive, too! We had our dog, and walking him in the area is a bit tough, but I think that applies to almost anywhere in the RRG. Overall, wonderful place and would definitely stay there again!

AMAZING! Planned a last minute trip to RRG with the grands (ages 15 and 9). This rental could not have been more perfect. It is easy to get to but completely secluded at the same time. It has all the amenities you could want, including a hot tub, fire pit, and two decks overlooking the woods. Our granddaughter (15) was thrilled with the hanging rope bed and outdoor hammock chairs on the deck upstairs, and our grandson (9) loved roaming around in the woods. We were 10-15 minutes away from ziplining, kayaking, underground cave kayaking, Miguel’s, the Mexican restaurant, the natural bridge trail and Skylift, and the Whittleton arch and waterfall hike. The kids had a ball and want to come back-that’s as good as it gets! Do yourself a favor and book this hidden gem!

We can’t say enough great things about Lindsay and this house - it was the perfect home base for our long weekend or climbing and relaxing. The beds and living room were quite comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for multiple meal preps. There was even a hangboard between the living room and kitchen that our kids couldn’t resist! But the best thing of all was how helpful and welcoming Lindsay was - offering advice, keeping us up to date on options for early arrival and late departure, checking on whether we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back!

A change in plans led us to go out of town for Thanksgiving this year. We were looking for a homey place to celebrate and relax, and loved the proximity of this airbnb to Red River Gorge. It was private and beautiful, and was even nicer than the photos made it look. There was plenty of room, a stocked kitchen (pots and pans and basic spices: salt and pepper etc) that made cooking a simple Thanksgiving dinner easy. We loved the open kitchen/living room space so that we could spend time with family while watching football and cooking. I even took a kayak out on Thanksgiving morning! It was a little chilly while we were there, but imagine the deck and pond would be incredible with warmer temperatures. There were tons of towels, blankets, shower items and a hairdryer. The appliances all worked great. We did a lot of hiking while in the area and Wyatt & Savannah's place was an amazing retreat.

A beautiful cabin with a few neighbors in a peaceful setting. Everything was exactly how Beverly described. Great hiking within a short distance of the cabin. Restaurants, grocery close as well. Kitchen with necessary equipment for cooking a meal or two. Beverly was prompt in responding to our inquiries and very friendly. Highly recommend the Black Dog cabin!

Every little detail was so thoughtful—it truly felt like a home away from home. 🏡❤️ And let’s talk about the host—absolute A+++! So kind, responsive, and went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay possible. You can tell they genuinely love hosting and care about their guests’ experience. Our family had a great time celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was great and close to red river gorge attractions. Sadly the cold weather caused the goats to be moved to their winter home. Sorry to miss the goat fun. Tracy was great to work with from the planning phase and through our stay.

Grandma's House was the perfect escape we were looking for from our busy lives. The house is even more incredible than the pictures show, and the surrounding property was peaceful and relaxing to explore each day. We had an amazing trip, and we definitely plan on staying at Grandma's House again.

The cottage is in a lovely location, tucked away behind a big house on top of a hill (the glorious 8 seater hot tub is on the big house porch, about 50ft through the grass from the cottage’s door). Sonya was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cottage was lovely with everything one could possibly need, and very clean and welcoming. She has five dogs who are all sweet little balls of mischief and fun who kept me company during my visit. This was probably my favorite Kentucky Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, highly recommend!

Staying at the cabin was amazing! It was easy to find, super clean, and had plenty of space for all of us. The fire pit was a highlight—we had so much fun hanging out and making memories together. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable trip!

We spent the weekend for my twin daughters 10th birthday and had an amazing time. We practically spent thr whole weekend in the pool but still plenty to do in the house due to rain. We truly had a stress worry free weekend. This house has all the amenities you could think of and then some. Perfect location and privacy yet still close to the gorge and scenery and all the stores. Would definitely stay again, hoping to in the future actually.

Sonya was a great host, there was one small issue that was out of her control but she did the best she could to solve it and stayed in contact with us to resolve it. Overall it was a great time with beautiful views while being peaceful

The place was absolutely inviting as soon as we pulled into the driveway. The view of the mountains with all that snow was beautiful. The kitchen has all sorts of cooking equipment for us to make meals. There are plenty of things to do on property if you aren’t up for hiking from the mini arcade to taking a dip in the well maintained hot tub. Was perfect for our groups board game weekend. No over complicated rules to follow like when checking in an apartment and check out was a breeze. The host was accommodating and responsive. Hope to be able to come back again when the weather is warmer!

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and being able to share meals together and the close proximity to trails.

This was a great getaway spot for me, my partner, and our dog. This was a very relaxing and quiet location. The hot tub was amazing and there is games provided here as well! I will mention when you’re driving up the hill, waiting to see the sign that says “timber” for your turn, it is a little further up til you may think! Overall we had such a great experience and I highly recommend this spot. Thank you Mary and Team!

Right in the heart of rrg climbing. On demand hot water that never ends. New and clean. Big fridge. Perfect for two people.

My fiancé, our dog and I had the best valentines weekend here. The view is beautiful. The hot tub was nice. It’s a lot bigger than it looks in pics. Foosball table was a nice surprise. Beautiful place, we will definitely be back. Also, GPS got us right to the cabin with no issues.

Kenny is one of the VERY BEST hosts I've had the pleasure of communicating with. He was extremely responsive + incredibly proactive. Lonesome Dove is the most spectacular place I've stayed in the RRG. The only real negative is being able to get there. Kenny gave us wonderfully detailed directions (we still got lost on a few turns) and to absolutely no fault of his, the roads are just treacherous. I have a newer AWD SUV and I made it but there were many times I truly thought I was going to get hung up (no cell service to call a tow truck) BUT I came out unscathed. A utility 4WD is my opinion, totally necessary. Once you arrive you are met by the darling cabin and the breathtaking views - a haven like none other. All -in-all this is a gem of a dwelling in every way!

We had a fantastic stay at this secluded cabin! It was cozy and comfortable, especially with the fireplace, and provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The location was great—just a 30-minute drive to everything the Gorge has to offer! We loved fishing at the pond during the day and ending each night by the fire. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. We’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful few nights at Sandy’s cabin with our 3yo and 8yo. The cabin is a lot of fun itself so it was tough to drag the kids away, but you’re right in the midst of everything the gorge has to offer and we had a fantastic few days hiking. Creation Falls / Rock Bridge loop was gorgeous and v kid friendly. If you get the chance to do the Douglas trail it was spectacular. Big shout out to Red River Rock House for food and Daniel Boone Coffee House for coffee. Back to the cabin, we loved it. Super cosy bedrooms, all the appliances and equipment you need, hot showers, awesome hot tub and fire pit. We’ll be back with friends, the cabin’s plenty big enough for another family or two and we can’t wait to do more exploring.

We enjoyed staying here on our weekend trip with our pup! The hot tub was awesome to enjoy after hiking! Will return!

Tracey was very responsive and helpful. The cabin was very cute and clean. There was also a darling grey cat outside (now named Slay) who was very friendly. A short drive to rock climbing, hiking, and the available restaurants. I would stay with her again.
