Talk about a relaxing stay with everything you’ll need! The hosts seriously thought of everything! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for-private, relaxing, and comfortable. We came with our dogs and our baby. For those wondering if they should do the same, it worked great for us! Bonus points..they have a rocker!! (A wooden one and a comfy one in the bedroom). So we felt right at home with the set up. It’s not “baby proof” as there are things to mind in the home that you can see in pictures (fireplace), but these were never an issue for us. Our dogs could run around outside and play until their hearts content (fenced). There was a swing for our baby to enjoy and he did! When our baby went to bed or napped we hopped in the hot tub and our baby monitor reached fine. There were the sweetest personal touches throughout (dog treats/bowls/welcome message/fresh flowers/chips and salsa (our fav snack). What a dream it was to stay at Brenda and Deborah’s place! They were so welcoming (to the point of welcoming us in to share their delicious pot roast and chocolate cake) but they still very much respected our privacy and space. The space itself had everything we could have needed and they went above and beyond to provide breakfast, snacks, and mini toiletries in the unit. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Athens!

I enjoyed my stay here and would love to come back! Communication with Celesta was a breeze. She was so very responsive and kind. The place was beautiful, clean, and so cozy. There's another cabin on the property but even in the winter you can't see it from this one, so it feels private and peaceful. The area is amazing. Palmer's Market is a short drive and has so many amazing things. Triple Nickel Diner had our business a few times, too! Athens is about a 30 minute drive with shops, restaurants, trails, you name it! Don't pass this place up. I can't wait to come back.

My boyfriend & myself had the most relaxing weekend getaway here. The views are amazing, this truly is a hidden gem. To fishing the pond, enjoying the view off the back porch, or sitting in the hot tub with an open sky of stars. This was so peaceful for us. We enjoyed a couple stops over to Athens for some coffee (highly recommend court street coffee) & also did some fishing in our boat at strouds run (highly recommend also) Mark was an excellent host & we can’t wait to book again!! :)

Convenient location for our family get together in nearby Vincent. Very peaceful setting. Make sure you check-in while it is light out, as it is hard to find in the dark (we drove by it a few times).

Our stay couldn't have been better. My top priority is cleanliness and it was spotless. It was comfy, cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay!

Great location in Athens an easy walk to the campus and uptown. Very comfortable place when I come to Athens next this will be the first place I seek out.

Chaos house did not disappoint. Beautiful house with a beautiful view. The deer walking through the yard in the evening was a bonus. It was winter with snow but Chao made sure the driveway was clear and salted so it was not slick. Pictures did not do it justice. Chao went above and beyond to accommodate us. Cant wait to come back, hopeful in the spring!

Wonderful stay! The setting is serene and relaxing—we loved the little deck overlooking the pond—and the accommodations are very comfy and clean, with everything we might need. Deni is proactive, helpful, and friendly. Mark built the place himself—I was so impressed! The drive to OU and the many wonderful Athens restaurants, parks, Hocking River, etc was 10-15 minutes away—it’s hilly and winding, but we hardly encountered any other vehicles on the road. Would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay! Close to Ohio University, sleeps a crowd comfortably and plenty of space to feed a crowd too! Will definitely return for our future travel to Athens.

I really enjoyed our stay here. It was very cozy. They surprised us with some small breakfast items such as eggs, oatmeal, and trail mix. The house had several items around for anything you might need…lotions, bandaids, extra soaps, condiments, and a few canned items too. It was great and I would stay there again.

Really enjoyed our week staying at Jons cabin. He was a great host and very hospitable. The cabin was perfect for our group and the town of Athens is only a 10 minute drive down the road. Four of us spent a week bowhunting the property and every guy saw deer while in the woods. We target mature bucks and unfortunately were not able to seal the deal. It wasn’t for a lack of trying or seeing deer. The bucks just outsmarted us this time. We are already booked for next season and looking forward to it.
