Julie is an outstanding host! This house is perfect for any getaway. It was clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and STUNNING outdoor area with a gorgeous pool. This is 3 FULL baths and 1/2 bath!! Two kitchens! Two family rooms! You had space! It made you want to relax! The kitchen was well stocked with any utensil or appliance you would need. It was private. You could really escape and get away. Woodbury and the surrounding towns were jampacked with things to do. There were many places to choose from to eat. Such a variety from steak, seafood, pizza, and American fare pubs and other specialty restaurants. Lots of variety/antique shops, flea market, wine/liquor stores, convenience stores. Just a short drive into Southbury you find more shops, antiques, restaurants, bigger, grocery store, etc. We also drove to a few other neighboring towns. All under 45 minutes. Friendly people! We had a wonderful time! Price is fabulous, house/outdoor area is A+ value! Thank you Julie!!

The house was so gorgeous and comfortable! Warm kitchen, beautiful spaces to lounge, luxurious bathrooms, and spacious bedrooms. We felt very at home. And Dylan was very responsive. We had an overly exciting exit from the house due to snowy conditions and he raced over to help salt the driveway. Highly recommend a stay at his house — I can’t wait to come back in the summer and use the pool!

This was our second time back to the pool house and it was amazing, again. We thinks of everything to make you feel welcome. Milk and eggs in the fridge. Muffins and croissants waiting for you. Pristine home. Fully stocked kitchen. I was even able to host a few family members for Christmas dinner and had everything I needed to make a lovely dinner. We also travel with two dogs and Sue is so accommodating, making our pups feel right at home. Thank you, Sue, for making our holidays away from home so peaceful and enjoyable.

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at the house. The house is beautiful and was extremely clean when we arrived. Luiz kindly left a sled for my kids to use in the yard. There is plenty of outdoor space and the yard has a good deal of privacy. There are two bedrooms and a den/office with a TV. The kitchen has everything we needed. Luiz was very easy to communicate with.

We were all very happy with the check-in/check-out. Instructions were clear and host left helpful information. Beds were quite comfortable. More than enough space for all. Laundry room was a plus. Easy to access town & beach. Lovely place - quiet - clean. Would definitely book again.

The host Joanna was very responsive with communication. The house was big and clean (I am extremely picky with cleanliness). We stayed there for parents weekend at Fairfield University which was about a 25minute drive to the senior beach houses which wasn't terrible. For those Sacred Heart University families it is super close to their campus. The house is in a quiet, safe, family community. Overall, we were very happy!

We found Dmitry's place to be just as advertised - it was warm, comfortable and well stocked for our family get together. We enjoyed the views of the water and the open common areas. We especially appreciated having a full bath and bedroom on the first floor for our elderly mother.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Alyson & Costa's Fairfield house! It's an absolutely adorable space in a great area. The hosts are responsive, helpful, and kind. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking to stay in this area!

Nice winter getaway with a bunch of friends and our toddlers. House was clean and well stocked with staples (including kitchen 'nice-have's like ziplock bags, foil and saran wrap). It was snowy all weekend so we couldn't really enjoy the lake view but i'm sure it's even more beautiful in the spring, summer or fall. Would love to come back in warmer months to enjoy more of the surroundings. Throughout the weekend, John and Elizabeth were incredibly helpful and prompt in replying to our inquiries which made it a very easy and relaxing stay.

The house on Candlewood lake is in a beautiful spot with lake views from almost every window and water access. It is well appointed with large beds and TV’s in almost every bedroom. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, answering questions about renting a boat and being flexible about check out. The perfect lake house, will definitely be back.

A lovely cottage on a quiet street (at least in the fall!). The interior is just beautiful with all the wood floors, walls, ceilings. The kitchen was - unusual! Clearly they had to retrofit an old home to accommodate modern appliances, but all worked well.

Liza was an absolute Godsend! After another host left us stranded at 4 AM due to overbooking, Liza came to our rescue. I messaged her at 6 AM, and she responded within minutes, going above and beyond to accommodate everything we needed. Her kindness and generosity are rare, and she now holds a special place in our hearts. Her home was stunning—beautifully decorated, impeccably stocked, and filled with thoughtful touches. She had it ready within two hours and even customized a welcome sign for our family! From custom linens and robes to elegant soap dishes, every detail was perfect. Liza also checked in to make sure everything was going well, and check-in and check-out were effortless. This was by far the best Airbnb I’ve ever booked, and Liza is truly the best host I’ve ever experienced. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, you won’t regret it!

Awesome place for a huge group. I had a group of 10 and it is walkable to downtown where the bars and restaurants are. Easy in and out, perfect for a night or two in New Haven.

We booked this last minute as we were coming to celebrate Christmas with my family. We were going to be getting in very late, so I asked if that would be ok. Also, we thought it would be easier if my parents checked us in and set up the crib and toddler bed for the kids and she was very understanding and let us make that accommodation. The rooms were all clean and set up and it was perfect for what we needed. Great location. Definitely would book here again if we are in the area

Sascha was a terrific host and we had a wonderful stay at his home. The home was beautiful: plenty of space to spread out, relax, and everything was incredibly clean and tidy. It was also well-stocked with everything you could need. We appreciated Sascha's friendly demeanor, and he was a pleasure to communicate with. We hope to return here in the near future for another stay.
