View from main windows is spectacular, straight out onto the sea. Very helpful and flexible host, especially with check in and out times which really helped us. Overall a fantastic stay.

Really nice stay. Ruth was helpful & responded quickly. The house slept 4 of us comfortably and was lovely & warm. It couldn’t have been better for access to the beach where winter dipping in the sea meant we could get back quickly & warm up. Highly recommended & Hele Bay is one of the nicest spots you could hope for.

The house was gorgeous, perfect location for walking to the beach & pubs. Had everything we could need & more when it came to cooking our Christmas dinner. There was even a Christmas tree! Only disappointment was the hot tub not working but these things happen. Would highly recommend.

Another great stay at Chalet 45! We always feel right at home from the moment we arrive to when we leave -which we are always sad to do!! Can't wait to come back soon! 😊😊

I love staying with Sue She and her husband are really friendly and approachable The place is brilliant it’s perfect for what I need, and the local area has so much, I go off season as I have a dog so not every shop is open but enough is for us and there are beaches which are a great walk if you’re up for long walks if not the local beach is a short walk away, always have a great time here and can’t wait to book the next one, The dog friendly cottage is perfect as well l, it has an enclosed garden and a tap for washing them off, there is cupboard space if you need to hide food as well 🤣

We had a great stay in Ilfracombe. Helen’s suggestions for places to eat & drink were not only helpful but delicious too! The house is beautiful - clean, spacious, beautiful views. Really relaxing place to be! We loved the hot tub and the house is well equipped with everything you need. Helen responded promptly to any questions. Would recommend

Lovely chalet ..just couple minutes from beach..Easy access to another beaches..Great area for hiking even with the dog,Rocky Hills..are like from movie ..In the chalet is everything what you will need for cooking,Friendly people everywhere with smile on they faces..thank you Amanda

We had a fab time, great coastal location, lots to do and wonderful weather……struggled with the WiFi / internet back at the pad tho. Good job we were mostly out and about exploring a lot of the time. Only issue it caused was communication with Zoe, but she responded quickly when messages got through (thank you Zoe)

We had a great stay at Sarah's chalet. The chalet is really well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Kitchen has everything you need which is always really helpful. Beds very comfortable. Widemouth Bay is a stunning place and the views from the site are incredible. The pool is really good, and was kept incredibly clean. It was brilliant value and Sarah was very helpful. We will be back I'm sure.

Helen was great! Very clear instructions and very easy to communicate with. The bungalow was as described and the location was beautiful. The pool was a real bonus for when the weather was a bit damp. Would recommend.

Our second visit to Bex's caravan and really enjoyed it. The caravan location is fab, with a 5 min walk to beach and 20 min to pub couldn't ask for more! Updates to the interior since last year were appreciated. As surfers we also appreciated the outside hose and ample space to hang wetsuits outside to dry. Can't recommend Bex's place enough!

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

We had a wonderful stay in Woolacombe at Kathryn's apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished, very comfy and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed using the pool and sauna. The location was perfect, very close to Woolacombe beach for dog walks and lots of cafes and restaurants. There are also lots of other lovely places to visit within a short drive away. Kathryn was very responsive and helpful and we appreciated all the local tips. Thank you, and we hope to return again!

The Appartement is just perfect: Stunning views from all the bedrooms and the living area and lots of space. The kitchen is very well staffed. We loved the beach and gonig on hikes along the shore. We‘d love to come back.

Perfect apartment for a stay in Woolacombe. We felt spoilt being so close to the beach with amazing views. The flat is equipped with everything you need and Chris was friendly and generous. We loved our time here and would absolutely stay again.

Lovely house and garden minutes from a great beach. The open plan living space was great for our holiday. The house was great for our (soon to be) two year old daughter. Bedrooms were spacious and the whole place had a nice feel.

Beautifully decorated house with the most incredible views. Every night (apart from 1 as it was raining), we enjoyed the sun setting over the sea. The house was really practical for our family of 3, with a fully functional kitchen, comfortable living area and two very good size bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. The house is located no more than a 10 minute walk in to Woolacombe and super close to the beach. Would highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Mortehoe and the Sri Lankan curry from the beach hut on Barricane Beach. Julia was really helpful and great at keeping in touch if we needed anything. We would love to come again. Thank you for having us. x

Rented for a family celebration. Excellent size and amenities. The few problems encountered were resolved immediately and in a very friendly manner

Modern house within walking distance of both the village centre and the beach. The house has plenty of downstairs space and a huge deck for relaxing and outdoor dining. My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Sea View Bungalow was a fantastic place to stay. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice as it’s even better in reality. The view from the balcony is breathtaking; on our first night we just spent hours watching the view. Felt immediately at home; absolutely loved the decor. Felt very private and welcoming; it was the most relaxed we’ve ever felt. Went for some stunning walks along the coast path and we were lucky enough to see some amazing sunsets. We will definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful stay in Appledore. The hosting was top notch, with prompt replies and really supportive responses to my requests, as I was travelling with a relative with health issues. The house is beautiful, everything you could need and so stylish. I have taken lots of inspiration from the interiors for my own house! And the location is incredible with a magnificent sea view and great pubs, restaurants, cafes and a deli nearby. Appledore is a gem of a village, I had not heard of it before this trip. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Edd and Andrea for enabling my parents and I to have such a special and memorable stay.

A well-appointed apartment situated in the picturesque town. I visited in February 2025, although the weather was somewhat chilly outside, the apartment was exceptionally warm and provided all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable and at home. The apartment was immaculate, with comfortable beds and ample space. The host provided excellent communication and was very accommodating during my check-out, allowing us additional time due to my mother’s disabilities. I highly recommend this apartment for a relaxing and rejuvenating break, especially with its breathtaking views of the Cornish coastline. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the tranquility of this winter retreat once again. Thank you for making my winter break so relaxing and memorable.
