We had a wonderful stay in the old farm house and really enjoyed exploring the surroundings of the farm, hiking and taking the kayaks out on the lake. The dogs were als so sweet and friendly and the entire vibe at the farm is so relaxed and peaceful.

Really nice place in a secluded and peaceful part of Clan William. The communal garden and the pool are the perfect places to relax.

We felt right at home in the beautiful cottage and garden. Melanie and Billy were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating to our needs with a young child, which we really appreciated. One of the best hot tubs we’ve experienced as it heats up super quickly. Fabulous spring water pool, tranquil surrounds, stargazing, birds, insects and blue rocks all made for a wonderful family weekend.

Very spacious accommodations and convenient location to anything in Clanwilliam. About 20-30 min to the bouldering/Cederberg area. Host/manager were easy to get in contact with and helpful with any issues. The front bedroom is noisy, with street noise and dogs barking, but the back bedroom is quieter. Unit 8 did not have a desk upstairs as pictured on AirBnB; only working area is the dining room. Loadshedding (scheduled blackouts) is a thing to be aware of in South Africa-- you may be without electricity 2 to 8 hours a day. The house wifi does have battery backup, which was great, and the stove is propane, so you can still cook during loadshedding. There is daily housekeeping provided (and required). Host provides 20kw hours of electricity a day; if you go over, you have to buy your own electricity. We didn't have any trouble staying under the 20 unit allotment. It is cold in the house during the winter, so prepare to bundle up inside! They provide electric blankets which were great.

Overwhelming feeling of peace. We enjoyed 2 wonderful days at Aardvark, and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything flows, the cottage is beautifully, thoughtfully and creatively appointed and cared for. The views were mesmerising and the night sky magnificent . Everything we did and experienced was special especially swimming in the rock pools , and hiking up to sacred caves with Simon at dawn. We loved the privacy of the cottage and the feeling of being so close to the changes of weather, the sounds and smells of nature that is so close everywhere. Simon is an experienced host , responsive and sensitive to his guests. Thank you for a magical stay.

Tertius was very helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back. Beautiful home.
