It was an unforgettable visit!! The cottage is so perfectly nestled in the beautiful mountains. We loved visiting with the pony, Princess, and saying hey to their sweet dog Adora! Rachel and Ron gave wonderful recommendations of local restaurants and trails. They were so kind and helpful! The cottage was very clean inside and the experience inside was magical with their beautiful artwork painted everywhere! We loved our stay!

First, Doug and Marcia are lovely folks - warm and helpful. The views of their farm, the animals, and the mountains from the porch are terrific. The rooms are very clean and they make it extra nice with snacks and brochures with information about the area. We will be back!

It was a wonderful weekend getaway! We went up here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday in a peaceful way and to disconnect from the outside world. It was homie and beautiful all around. We were able to bring our dog and he enjoyed running around, bathing in the sun, and visiting the cow! We will sure be back once late spring/ summer hits! So thankful for James and Sofi to open up their cabin to us!

Melissa's place was an amazing stay for our first weekend in Asheville. The house was incredible. So clean, well stocked, soft sheets with nice mattresses, hot tub and great views. Melissa was very responsive and pleasant. We're excited to come back to visit Asheville and support the rebuilding after the hurricane.

We stayed at Whistle Pig Farm over Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind for the week. The kitchen was so well stocked, and had everything we possibly could have needed. The grandparents loved lounging and baking in the warm, open spaces, and our 3 year old son loved playing with all the house toys (so nice!), saying hi to the chickens each day, and going on walks to throw rocks in the creek. Would absolutely stay again - thanks Anne and Tom for sharing your lovely home!!

The house was in a lovely environment, where it was peaceful and quiet. With sleeping spaces on three levels, there was good privacy and we were all comfortable. There was a beautiful view from the couch in the living room.....and one morning we saw deer wandering around close by! We've always enjoyed the town of Weaverville, so were thankful for another time to visit there! Misty answered all our questions and was very helpful! Our family would enjoy staying there again in the future! Thanks for sharing your home Misty!

House was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for hosting our friend’s bachelorette. Lyndon and Amie were very responsive and provided easy instructions every step of the way. Amazing area and we’re already looking forward to returning!

The hosts were very very responsive. Very clean Cabins too. Even though pets are allowed, there was no sign of pets inside, very well cleaned. We had a very small concern, and they were right there the second I messaged them! Very very helpful! We will definitely start booking our family reunion June stays here from now on!

My stay at Jack and Jen's was really lovely! I was in town for a conference and it was super nice to be able to just drive 15 minutes to downtown and then come back to something nice and quiet. The back screened porch was perfect for hanging out and just listening and looking at the world!

Such a quiet and beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable staying here with everything we needed. The host was super responsive and friendly. Everything was clean and just as described.

This was by far my favorite vacation ever. The Mountain View’s were gorgeous and beyond spectacular. Also really enjoyed the privacy and be secluded on a mountain. It was such an amazing experience. We I hoping to plan a trip again soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Jean's beautiful home! The location was serene and picturesque, and we really enjoyed the company of the friendly pigs and goats on the property—they added such a fun touch to the experience. The cabin itself was cozy and a much needed, relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, during our stay, the gas went out, which caused a temporary loss of heat and hot water. While this was a bit inconvenient, the host responded quickly and took quick action to resolve the issue and made sure we were satisfied with our stay. Despite this minor setback, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this Airbnb to others looking for a peaceful mountain retreat.

We had such a wonderful stay at this place! Catherine was very helpful in providing details for a smooth check-in/out, and was responsive to any of our questions. Between the convenient location (only 15 minutes from most of our downtown activities) and fun amenities, this was one of my favorite Airbnbs I've stayed at. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Asheville area!

Super cute and cozy cabin tucked away at the top of a mountain. Loved the fenced in porch for our dog to hang out on. Would definitely agree you need 4WD. The drive up is pretty steep and gravel. The parking area was difficult to get in and out even with our 4WD truck, could use a little more space to turn around. Overall great relaxing stay

My sister and I were volunteering in Burnsville the house was only minutes away. It was a so welcoming and comfortable. We would get home and sit outside on the deck. It was screened in so it was perfect at night. The cabin is cozy, but every space is used well. It had everything we needed especially a washer and dryer.

Marys place is nothing less than magical. The open yard was perfect for the kids to play in all day. We spent countless hours swimming in the private creek with our kids and pup. My husband and I took our evenings to do a night swim then warm off in the sauna before watching the stars by the fire. The sounds of crickets put us to bed ( in the most comfortable beds & linens I’ve ever slept in! ) and the birds chirping woke us up! The house was clutter free, cozy and clean with fun indoor and outdoor games tucked away and great reading on the shelves. The neighborhood felt safe and so friendly. We thought we’d spend more time in Asheville but barnardsville and weaverville ( 15 min drive ) had everything we needed for good food and incredible nature. As for our host, she was so friendly and responsive. You can tell she pours her love into this house and takes care of her guests like family. All in all, it was the perfect family vacation and we hope to return soon!

Fantastic and charming rustic cabin! We loved our stay there with our 2 small kids and my friend and her family. We loved exploring the property, visiting the chickens and enjoying the mountain views from the porch. We will definitely be back in Asheville and hope to rent Kristen’s place again!

We loved Seanne’s place! Amazing views, goats and a hot tub? What more could you need! Seanne was so accommodating and communicated so well! We will definitely stay here again.

What a great place to stay! The house was beautiful with great amenities but the real stars were the goats! Fun to have morning coffee on the deck with a little goat entertainment in view! Our daughter loved them and we were really happy with our stay!

Our stay here was well worth the price!! It had all the available amenities as described! The creek in the back was so peaceful to sit beside with a fire going! The hot tub was very relaxing and my husband definitely enjoyed the game room downstairs 😂. 10/10 would recommend for a family getaway or a couples retreat!

One of our favorite AirBnb’s ever! Sky Acres is magical. The house is filled with light, beauty, and art. The yard, large property, and on-site trails are delightful, and the view is extraordinary. The house was packed with thoughtful and quality touches, from exterior walls of windows to nature guides on the bookshelves. We loved reading in front of the fire and eating breakfast while watching clouds on the mountains. We loved every moment! The location was great for us. We hiked at Carver’s Gap (25 min from the house) and Crabtree Falls (35 min), and played in the snow at Sugar Mountain (50 min). Full-sized Ingles and Walmart grocery stores were an easy 15-20 minute drive away in Spruce Pine. We did find the driveway intimidating at first- we are low-elevation dwellers with an old car. We arrived after dark the first day and opted to walk up the the house. The drive was clearly marked, and the host had kindly ensured that all exterior lights were on. By the end of our visit, we were driveway pros! Looking around the area, this sort of drive seems common. For those not confident as mountain drivers, I recommend considering the driveway in planning an arrival at the house for the first time, but our family doesn’t consider the driveway a deterrent. We hope to visit again! I’ve already recommended this house to friends and family. To me, this place is magical. It’s the perfect balance of creature comforts and enjoyment of nature, and everything we want in a mountain getaway.
