Beautiful location, private, pristine, peaceful. Lots of space, well set up for water activities, fireside chats, and relaxing the day away. The sauna is a wonderful addition. Well stocked with lots of towels and firewood, great layout with an open kitchen and comfortable living room.

Amazing stay, even in January! I can’t even imagine how beautiful this place would be in the summer. So close to Summerville beach. The space was beautiful and clean, I will definitely stay again!

Great spot to stay! Super close to both Summerville and Carters Beach. Very clean and comfortable place. We wish we could’ve made use of the fire pit/hot tub as it was lovely, it poured rain during our whole weekend stay. Would love to return to this same location for a future stay.

Great spot! Family enjoyed a white Christmas here. The house was large enough for 8 of us. The Bunkie was a nice addition, but maybe not able to hold up to really cold nights in winter… but would definitely consider staying here again! Shane was great with communicating. Thanks for a great rental!

Lovely get away. So peaceful. The view- absolutely beautiful. The cottage feels brand new. The natural lighting - wonderful. Sleep to the sound of the ocean waves. Hot tub - perfect. Loved the slippers and robes. Jeffrey was welcoming and answered all questions. We felt at home right away. The cottage is one room with beautiful furnishings for each function. Chefs note...The kitchen counter space is tight, so don't plan on complex meals and no oven. We are thankful for our time and would visit again.

We enjoyed our time at Castaway Ocean Lodge. The location is very peaceful and scenic. We wanted to escape from the city and relax while taking in the ocean views- the deck was a perfect place to hangout. We had already been to the area before, so we knew that most of our time would be spent at the cottage. It had everything we needed. Loads of board games, all cooking necessities and even some kayaks! We explored Crescent beach in Lockeport and drove down to Carter’s Beach for the day (well worth it). Thanks for having us!

We stayed here for six nights over the Christmas holiday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The peace and serenity we felt during our stay were absolutely surreal. The property is stunning, and it provided the perfect escape for us to relax and recharge. The neighbors, Rose and Robert, were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the hosts, Mark and Michelle, went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made this stay special. We can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with amazing people nearby, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

The LightKeeper’s Cottage was in a lovely location next to the lighthouse. The views were spectacular and we were fortunate to see deer, hawks and our first porcupine. The house was spacious and clean. Wendy also provided useful information for our stay. We would definitely recommend this property.

amazing place, I would love to rent again in the ft

This was our second time staying in Colleens cottage, neither time did we want to leave. The setting is absolutely beautiful right on the ocean the view from the dining room table is out of this world the kind of thing Bob Ross dreamed about. The cottage is nice and cozy with nice amenities considering it's location which is a little off the beaten path. Perhaps it's not the Ritz Carlton but that's not what you're looking for when you book a cottage on the ocean in Maine. I really can't think of any negatives to booking here. The cottage has an outdoor cedar shower which we were concerned about before we booked the first time but we actually ended up finding it quite nice even during 45 degree mornings on this trip. Colleen is wonderful, she's super friendly, always quickly replies to messages. Even a year out from our booking she was quick to reply to any questions we had. She's also a dachshund lover which makes her an extra step above in our book. If you've landed here just book it.

Our stay at this Air BNB was both relaxing and entertaining. It was very nice to sit out on the boat at night and have a drink, while looking out over the water. Beals Island is a very quaint, quiet, beautiful, friendly Island. You have everything you need, amenity wise, just across the bridge. We had some questions and emailed Rich, and within minutes we would get a response. The host’s had a lot of good information in well organized binders. I would recommend this BNB.

We loved our stay here! The views of the water are amazing. It was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge from our travels. We spent a rainy day at the house and took a walk down to the water exploring the low tide and finding little treasures from the sea. What a cool experience right outside the home! We went to Acadia and Bar Harbor during our stay here, which was about an hour drive. Beautiful drive! Great place to stay that made us feel right at home. Thank you for your hospitality!!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! ❤️

This the best of what AirBnB was back in the day. Chef Hendrix was warm and welcoming as we arrived, with his famous pie waiting for us, and was a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Our aim was to go relax and peqce and tranquility, and there was plenty of it. Amazing view everywhere you turn, a comfortable an hospitable cottage, great TV for evening entertainment, and a covered deck where we could sit under blankets in the cold and listen to the melting of winter. I'm sure during the Summer this would be a fantastic place to stay as well, plenty of summer activities and amenities. If you're thinking of going, I would be shocked if you did not have a great time.

Even in the dead of winter, the cottage is a beautiful—and warm!—spot to spend some quiet time. The property exceeded expectations. What Sara doesn’t describe in the listing is the masterful craftsmanship of the post-and-beam construction. The cottage is very private, and Sara made check-in a breeze with clear instructions and easy access. Despite staying for just one night, we had everything we needed for a very comfortable evening after a long drive from Boston. We won't hesitate to book the cottage again; maybe next time it will be in the summer so we can explore the farm.

We loved our stay at the cottage! We are native Mainers and the Steuben/Milbridge area is one of our go-to locations for relaxation. The cottage was private, peaceful, and the views were amazing! Being right on the water was a nice perk and we spent some time on the rocks when the tide was out. The cottage has wonderfully comfortable furniture and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on! It is also one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in as well. It felt very much like home! Teresa was in contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was great to know she was there to answer any questions we may have had. We will definitely stay again!!!

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

My wife, our dog and I had an excellent winter staycation at the Red Door Barn. The weather was frightful but it was cozy and comfortable inside with spectacular views ... a perfect spot to enjoy the winter!

Our stay at Bonnie’s house was great. The house was well stocked with all the essentials and the view of the bay was beautiful. It was cold outside but the house warmed right up and sitting by the fireplace at night was very cozy. We really enjoyed looking at the book provided with all the things to do in the area! We would definitely stay here again!
