We have visited Otaru many times. Minako’s apartment is one of the best we have stayed. Apartment is on top of a hill, incredible views of the ocean. Parking is easy. Apartment is very clean and has all amenities required.

Our stay with Satoko in Yoichi was incredible. From the smooth pickup at the station to the warm welcome, we felt instantly at home. The house sits on a hill with breathtaking 180° ocean views, surrounded by snowy mountains. Waking up to the sunrise over the peaks was pure magic. The bathtub lets you soak while admiring the scenery, and the heated Japanese toilet is a game-changer! The cozy tatami room, comfy beds, and warm table made for the perfect retreat. There’s also a reading nook and an outdoor spot to enjoy a drink while gazing at the ocean. Satoko and her family’s hospitality was unmatched, and their local tips were gold. My favorite part? The breakfast setup—we could cook our own food with the best ingredients. This place is pure magic, and we’ll definitely be back!

此次旅行非常完美，非常喜欢这栋房子，温馨舒适。美女房东热心周到，收到当天晚上下大雪的通知，就及时通知我们把车停在室内的车库里，还为我们准备了防滑钉，很感动🙏

오타루 번화가에서 아주 가까우면서도 한적한 숙소입니다. 도보로 잠깐인데도 언덕이어서 경치가 좋았고 눈쌓인 골목길 분위기도 너무 좋았습니다. 숙소도 청결하고 침실이 2층에 따로 있어서 취침시간이 다른 가족들이 서로 방해되지 않은점도 좋았습니다.

Love this place, Yu provided everything you'll need for cooking, showering and even floss. It has beautiful patio with extremely thick snow, fun to play in!

I cannot say enough good things about Aki’s fabulous house! If you want to feel like a local and have all the comforts of home, this is the place for you! It’s beautiful, clean, great location, full kitchen, fantastic bathroom, stunning views, everything you could want from a vacation house in Hokkaido. The booklet provided with local recommendations was the icing on the cake. Definitely check out the yakitori restaurant mentioned. We felt close to great ski areas and loved waking up to watch the waves crashing over the snow covered beach. She was a kind host and even brought us snowshoes to borrow for a fantastic adventure through a local park. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities needed to make a great meal. The house is toasty warm (we visited in January and most days it didn’t get above 2C), the living room is cozy (great for reliving tales of the jpow after a cold day skiing). The beds are very comfortable and warm. We truly had a great few days, thank you!
