I could not recommend this place and these hosts enough! The place was warm and welcoming and I absolutely love the location. A very peaceful neighborhood with easy bay access. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house had some maintenance problems but at no fault of theirs…just typical house problems and they handled everything extremely well and we were not inconvenienced at all! Also our dog loved the place and they were stocked will all the dog necessities which was very helpful!

Charles place is beautiful and the river view is amazing. Charles was very kind and very responsive. Beds were comfy and kitchen stocked. Plenty of room to be fellowship and have privacy when needed. Decor is nice and makes you feel welcomed & right at home. Charles place is great for a relaxing waterfront stay in VA, can’t wait to return for our next river stay.

House and location were absolutely wonderful. Close to many places but also peaceful. Will definitely book again when back in the area.

Had a lovely few days here in early December, snug as a bug despite the rather chilly temperatures. It's a lovely view of the lake and just a few steps away, was a bit cold to do any water activity but in warmer weather would just be ideal. The internet was rock solid and lots of the usual kitchen facilities were there, not that we used most of them. Would 100% return when next back in the area. There is a knack to opening/closing the front door, you just need to pull it towards you about 1mm before pressing the lock button when arriving or leaving.

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and her hospitality made my wedding weekend even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Meg!

Our family loved staying here, the kids loved the bunk beds and deck off one of the main rooms. Its in the perfect location to everything fun to do in norfolk and down the street from the beach! Everything was perfectly clean, tv's in every room, lots of space, everything provided that we would need, and its a beautiful home! Side note: this place will always hold a special place in our hearts because it's where our son said his first word and where i found out we are pregnant with our 5th! We find this gem of a place for Thanksgiving with just my family of 5. The home was absolutely warm and welcoming. We all had plenty of room to spread out, relax and unwind and gather together for our meals. The home was cozy, had all the amenities you needed without clutter. The home had beautiful light all throughout and every light switch was labeled ( that is a big deal for host to do). Our host very thoughtful, responsive in her communication with us. We even had chance to utilize the hot tub n the evening and you looked to a beautiful sky. The property was very private and the neighborhood was very serene which backed to the creek.

The home was not only beautiful but comfortable, too. Shannon provided information about the local area with lots of great recommendations. The Farmhous was close enough for easy travel to Williamsburg and Yorktown. The rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, we throughly enjoyed using the firepit, and the Farmhouse was very clean and tidy. Things to consider: We arrived after dark, and the area is remote, so be on the lookout for deer. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use the kayaks because we visited in the winter, but they were readily available and easy to find. We'll have to visit again when the weather is warmer! And finally, it is a farmhouse so there are steps both in and outside the house. If you have anyone with knee or mobility issues, this should be noted. Thank you, Shannon!

I would definitely stay here again! My absolute favorite part was the deck outside. It had so much seating and a table with an umbrella. The home was lovely. The queen size bed was comfy. The space on the side of the bed with the wall is awkward because the intake vent is there, and that vent is also loud and annoying. Just wear earplugs! We added two of the wooden tray tables from the closet as night stands. The house is clean except the floor, which I'd imagine is hard to sweep or mop because the boards have shifted, making the floor uneven with cracks through out. So the floor felt and looked a bit dirty, but you're by the beach with sand, so eh not a problem.

The place was better than we even imaged! We had such a wonderful vacation. So much space and in an excellent location. Everyone was very helpful and check in was easy. Thank you!

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

The place is really cute, cozy and clean. What the pictures show is what you get. The host, Velma, is super friendly and responsive.

Velma's place was great! We surprisingly got upgraded to the unit upstairs, which had a porch with a beautiful view of the water. The unit was clean and spacious. It met all our needs. Velma was also very proactive and responsive. I would highly recommend this place.

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

Richard was friendly and helpful and quickly responded when a smoke detector started chirping. We loved the proximity to the beach even if it wasn’t quite the season and the yard was nice to hang out in. It’s close to a main road but the layout of the yard with the fence and natural beauty made the road a nonissue. The kids loved having games and puzzles and we appreciated magazines about Norfolk and the surrounding areas. The kitchen was well stocked for the light amount of eating we did in the house. We came for the historical sites but we would stay again for beach season!

Gina’s cottage is a little slice of heaven overlooking a beautiful stream and lake. Very private and wonderful for our two dogs who ran free and had the time of their lives..

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. Absolutely loved staying at this adorable cottage! It was a really cozy place to relax when we weren’t working on our boat at nearby Zimmerman’s marine. Especially enjoyed the fun decor and the gorgeous blooming camellia outside the bedroom window. My husband loved the big shower! Wish the weather had been better so we might have been able to use the dock and kayaks. Hosts are super responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
