Gorgeous place to stay. Views from every window. Expect family ducks, chickens and peacock to pay you a visit, and if you hear snoring, it’s probably the large pig outside the window!

We stayed at the Cottage for Christmas 2024 and had the most relaxing a brilliant time. The place is really spacious for our two kids. Twos to play with and space to run around. Tina is an excellent host. Everything is well organised and well stocked. She was also really thoughtful and kind in thinking of our 1 year olds birthday. I’ve stayed at many air bnbs but few can match the hospitality and thoughtfulness of this place!

A cosy, secluded woodland setting with good walks straight from the door and the added bonus of horses stabled next door. Even without the unseasonal good weather we would have had a great break.

Just back from a 3 night stay at the cottage and it was perfect for our family. The cottage was so warm and cosy. It had everything we needed and was a home away from home. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings on a farm. Would definitely 100% recommend to anyone.

What an amazing little place, great location, loads of lovely walks nearby. Lucy met us upon arrival and kindly showed us around including some local sites. The place is relatively newly done with great facilities. The en-suites were superb and the bed and the matresses were excellent meaning we all got a great nights sleep after all the walking. We will 100% return. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at Owl Cottage this weekend, while we were in Yorkshire for a friend’s wedding. The house was easy to find and well equipped and the host was very accommodating - thank you!

Had a lovely time staying here, the cabin is lovely and has everything you need in. It is a remote place with a lovely fenced off area outside which is great for dogs and great views too. Will be booking again to stay in the future, well worth it 😊

An absolute gem of a place! We had a fantastic stay at Caroline's. Beautiful and spacious accomodation, extremely cosy and comfortable rooms, lots of thoughtful and kind touches - a tea tray and homemade cake greeted us on our arrival. Caroline is a brilliant host - very helpful, gave us loads of suggestions of places to visit with our 3 children and so friendly. We can't wait to return! Thank you Caroline!

We had a wonderful stay - the annexe was cosy, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location was wonderful - surrounded by fields of lambs and alpacas - and Catherine was friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

Me and my husband visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter and two tiny chihuahuas. Our dogs can be a bit happy which was absolutely my motivation for picking this location, secluded quiet and most importantly the courtyard area with the hot tub was entirely secure. Meaning we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about any unexpected puppy escapes. The place itself was beautiful inside , the only bathroom is in the main bedroom but in a family setting this is absolutely no issue. It was the perfect setting for cooking, playing board games and watching movies. We were able to walk the dogs, spend time as a family and all had a comfortable uninterrupted nights sleep. I can see us returning for sure!

A real hidden treasure, but close enough to the main roads (but not too close for any noise to disturb the peaceful surroundings). Our hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, giving some great ideas for exploring some of the less well-known areas of the Lake District. The location of Bella’s Barn is ideal as a base for exploring the Lake District and within a short drive of both the north and south lakes. The accommodation is very well appointed and exactly as described. The hot tub was a welcome bonus and was well used every night. Being in an EV, the location is ideal for few minutes drive to Tebay services for either the Tesla superchargers or the other EV chargers.. You can even have a quick look in the Farm Shop at the services and grab a few local treats with some of the local produce or cakes.

We’ve stayed at the barn twice now and would come back again. It’s cosy, well equipped and peaceful — a perfect base to explore the north Lakes. The Dog and Gun pub is a short walk away and it’s worth booking as the food is a real treat.

We had a wonderful stay at Kat’s place! The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful, the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The view of the countryside was absolutely stunning, and we loved waking up to it every day. There were so many lovely places nearby to go for long walks with our dogs, which made the stay even more special. Thank you so much, Kat, for such a lovely experience. We’d love to come back!

Beautiful rustic barn stay- great location for the beauty of the peaks. Amy was a great host very communicative and helpful. Recommend!

Church Barn had everything you could need, and was in a stunning location. The stay was peaceful and Fiona was an excellent host, responding very promptly even with how late we booked to stay. We felt very welcomed and can’t wait to stay again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful stay near Bakewell. Just WOW!

This place is unbelievable, absolutely beautiful property. From Check in to Check out the whole experience ran smoothly. Mel is always on hand to answer any questions. The property is out of this world ...the windows really make it as you have views from all sides. We had a lovely sunny weekend there are great walks that you can start from the property. A few nice pubs very close but you seem like you are in the middle of no where. Great WIFI but loved not having a TV felt great to unwind. Thanks Mel we sure will be back x

Judith’s place was even better than I could of expected. It was in a lovely quiet area but still had shops and pubs in walking distance. The place was spotless and Judith had provided lots of products such as hand wash, toilet roll, body wash etc which was very much appreciated. Judith was a very quick at responses and I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Absolutely outstanding accommodation! Rob came to see us after we checked in to make sure everything was ok and was always on hand when required! Great location if you’re getting married at Danby Castle as we did! 10/10

We enjoyed a lovely few days in this well-equipped accommodation. It is very comfortable, peaceful and has amazing views. Easy to find following Lulu’s comprehensive instructions and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Jess and Tom’s place - the barn was so spacious and comfortable and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and such a treat to wander round. There was plenty to do to keep us and our little one entertained and all only a short drive away, and the barn was the perfect peaceful home from home to retreat back to. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to stay, lovely and cosy with the log burner and nice Christmas decorations. Fantastically equipped kitchen and with bathroom/shower and a bathtub too! Location is great for walks. Pam was very communicative and made everything hassle-free. Highly recommended!

I had a great stay at the barn. Ann was a great host, very attentive and friendly. All round a good place to visit the Howgill fells and south lakes from. I will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful time at Pear Tree Barn. It was really comfortable and spotless throughout. Plus it’s located in a beautiful little village with lots to do in the local area. Cath was very helpful and friendly, and we’ll definitely be re-booking for next year.

A beautiful cottage in truly stunning surroundings. There was everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. All of the instructions were extremely clear which was so helpful. Sarah was really responsive and happy to help with any queries. I couldn't recommend The Long Barn enough!
