This is a great cottage. Easily accessible from major roads, yet tucked away in a quite, peaceful location with minimal passing traffic and views over farms and moorland. . The cottage is beautifully presented, clean and comfortable, with all facilities as listed. We loved the wood burning stove. Gary and Julia were friendly, accommodating hosts. Highly recommended. One word of warning, the cottage is close to the top of a very steep lane; not really walking distance to any amenities unless you are quite a robust specimen!

We were all very impressed by the house and facilities. My grandson loved the massive tv! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. It was perfect for us. It felt luxurious but also felt homely.

Beautiful place in peaceful location. Spotlessly clean - looked like everything was new. Very comfortable furniture and bed and plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. We didn't cook but there was everything provided if we had wanted to. A totally relaxing location we would love to return to.

We had a great stay at the cottage. The stay was for me and my son and we would normally choose a hotel when we have a chance to have a break together, however staying at the cottage gave us the chance to spend time together and wonder out through York

Honestly have had the most gorgeous, restful weekend here. Stunningly beautiful house with views, so clean, a very short drive from restaurants. We had a lovely relaxing evening in front of the fire. Bed super comfy, WiFi great, loads of space in the two fridge freezers. We’d love love love to come back.

Perfect in all aspects... communication... fantastic, especially when we arrived in sub zero temperatures. house... idyllic, clean and so quiet facilities... I own a holiday let and thought I had peaked by supplying everything, including a pickled onion fork (ok you have to be of a certain age). I realise I need to up my game further now as Jackie has raised the bar so much higher.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this beautiful and cozy home. It was so well organised and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved the charming decor and all the thoughtful details. Anthony was a wonderful host- approachable, kind, and very helpful. His clear instructions made everything smooth and stress free. The nearby forest walks were really nice, and the stream running through the woods made it so refreshing. The local people were friendly and helpful. The house itself was such a delight that we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. A spacious place that suited our needs; it's thoughtfully decorated & away from Scarborough's prime seagull zone (which is a bonus, because I've learned from experience they make a heck of a racket early in the mornings). It's also just 5 minutes from what is indisputably the town's best fish & chip shop. Parking - out of season at least - is fine, & you can walk to both the North Bay & the town centre very easily; the latter is partly uphill, which helps offset the calories from the aforementioned fish & chips.

Absolutely loved our stay in The Architects Loft! Everything was so well thought out, great design. Fantastic area, helpful hosts and the room was immaculate. 10/10!

This was our second stay in Martin and Carmens lovely apartment and will definitely book again when we’re in Leeds. Wonderful friendly hosts and very comfortable and quiet place to stay with easy access to the centre of Leeds and surrounding areas.

Great location, parking was really close. Lovely and comfortable. Would say bathroom steps down are a bit risky, forgot the step down was there more than once- probably on me! Also bathroom door wouldn't open from the inside so only pushed to, not a significant problem. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I'm in the area.

Great stay, check in was very easy, parking was okay, and the apartment was very cosy. It was quite cold when we arrived, but the heating was really easy to use and the place warmed up in no time! The location is very handy close to the village enter, lots of shops and restaurants. During our stay we visited the Lake Road Kitchen for the eight course taster menu, which was amazing and literally just up the road. If we decide to come back to Ambleside we will be sure to book this apartment again. Thank you

We had a great stay at the apartment in Chester. It was super clean,comfortable and located within easy walking distance of the city. The kitchen had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the lounge was great for relaxing. Chris was really responsive with instructions on how to check in and we offered us an extra night due to a cancellation which was great. A great apartment for a break in Chester with parking and easy access to the city for restaurants/ cafes and shopping. Would highly recommend as a place to rest and relax.

Would highly recommend this stay. Check in was easy and the home is beautiful. For a 1 bedroom villa the space you have is vast with a homely living area and fantastic kitchen space and amenities. The bedroom is wonderful combining a country house with a highly modern bath and shower. Hot tub with a TV is fantastic. Walking into Bowness-on-Windermere is only 10 minutes too. Staff were around on a couple of occasions and were always chatty, welcoming and accommodating. We will be staying again. Thank you so much.

If you want a relaxing lake house with a view I couldn't think of anywhere better, myself and 5 friends had the most relaxing time. The view is stunning, the hot tub is great and the amenities in the house all work well, very modern but don't take away from rustic nature of the place. Communication with the hosts was really good from Paul and Victoria and the brochure they sent out before hand answered every question before I could even ask, highly recommend if you need a break.

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

We had an unforgettable and special stay at this beautiful house. The sunny woodland walks among the snowdrops and around the lake were a delight, and we spotted all sorts of wildlife. Our dogs had a great time running and playing in the open field, and the small children (and big kids) in our party absolutely loved the play area, tennis court, and swimming pool… but the highlight of their stay was the hot tub! Meeting our host, Robert (and his little one), was lovely too. The house had everything we needed to enjoy some quality time together in this lovely historic setting — it’s a rare gem. Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience! The little ones are already asking when we can return to the big house — we hope to come again soon!

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.

Extremely clean and tidy caravan, very well equipped in a great location which felt private as was in a secluded place on the site. Very much enjoyed the veranda for watching the sunset and catching the last of summer sun, a short walk to the beautiful beach for dog walks. Several local restaurants/cafes in walking distance and lots to do in the area. My only improvement would be to provide bed linen and towels but would definitely stay again.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.
