Really lovely stay in a beautiful, warm cabin which had everything we needed! Towels, juice, tea, coffee, milk all included. Wifi was helpful with the lack of signal. We arrived in the dark, so it was lovely to wake up to see the horses and ducks!

What a find. Such a beautiful location for our little break. Such friendly hosts. Everything was wonderful and our children are already asking when we can go back! Both Suzanne and Mark were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay so special 😊

I really enjoyed my week in the hut. It was a lovely space for just myself. Andrew and his family are extremely welcoming and very friendly. This was my fifth stay at their farm and I am very happy there. My first stay in the hut and I would definitely consider booking it again. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was warm, cosy, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The hosts were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to help me plan a surprise proposal to my fiancée and were so careful not to give anything away. Their kindness and attention to detail made the experience even more special. The space was beautifully decorated, especially with all the fairy lights, which added such a magical touch. We’ll never forget it. Highly recommend!

Super peaceful quiet retreat, just like the photos, well equipped, really charming, wish I'd been staying longer in slightly warmer weather!

Really really good stay. Enjoyed the use of the indoor and outdoor fires, especially under the stars and listening to the owls. Kathryn & Trevor have really used the space well and it feels very private. Trevor welcomed us from the beginning and was very friendly and showed us to the hut. Perfect weekend away to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for letting us stay in such a lovely peaceful space! Oh and the sheep are extremely friendly too!

Really lovely spot. I went with my two kids and the space was great. We built a fire and kicked a ball about. Because we are guests we could play in the playground till late which was great! Will be back for another small getaway.

Wonderfully peaceful and private cabin. Pond was teeming with wildlife and it was so relaxing to watch it all unfold on the comfy loungers. The cabin had all the amenities needed for a short break. Fiona thought of everything - headtorches, umbrellas etc. Fiona was a fantastic host - quick to respond to every message and gave us some really useful recommendations around the local area. Not to mention the cake! We hope to be back soon and have already recommended the place to several family members!

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Shepherd's Hut! It was exactly as shown in the photos - spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully cared for. The location was ideal for us, we visited Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Buxton. We also enjoyed a gorgeous sunny walk at Miller’s Dale, which was super close, before returning to the hut for a sunset cheeseboard and a relaxing evening by the log fire. It was the refreshing escape we were hoping for. Everything was so well organised that we didn’t need to contact Laura at all, it all felt completely seamless. I felt right at home and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended!

Just the change of scenery we wanted. Lovely location, nice and private. A great place to unwind in a beautiful part of the country.

We had the most wonderful stay at Shepherd’s Rest. The cabin felt truly luxurious without breaking the bank. Everything was spotless with so many thoughtful touches that made it extra special - Will and Hannah really have thought of everything. The banks surrounding the cabin made it feel really private and secluded, especially when in the hot tub, which we loved. The recommended walk to Brigham Rocks was spectacular and we had a wonderful afternoon exploring there - thank you for providing our itinerary as well as our accommodation! We also loved meeting and making friends with the three gorgeous dogs. Thank you for making mine and my partner’s first weekend away together one to remember 💕

A beautiful spot with lovely views over the fields and hills, with the ponies as an added bonus, the sunsets were incredible to the front of the cabin, and great to sit out for breakfast in the sunshine! We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to visiting again.

We both had such a wonderful 2 night stay here! Surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature. The outside copper bath was incredible.! highly recommend staying here if you’re thinking about it we will definitely visit again. Highly recommend the Aldersley circular walk. Thanks Corinne!

Had a surreal stay at the Hut 🐓☀️ Perfect eve spent watching the sunset by the mountains with a little fire 🔥 just letting time go by. Would definitely recommend this after climbing one of the lakes famous nearby mountains 🏔️ 💚

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in April and it was the perfect weekend getaway. The hut is so cute and has everything you could need. It was warm, clean and so cozy. The views are spectacular and we had some adorable tiny lambs in the field opposite us. Great outdoor space, we loved sitting outside round the fire pit and enjoying the views with a drink. The place is perfectly located for great walks. We recommend the dragons back trail. The host was fantastic, very responsive, answered all my questions and let us check in early. I would thoroughly recommend the whole experience!

A last minute booking. Perfect for what I needed. Peaceful and relaxing. Friendly and attentive check in/check out. Great to have all facilities within the Shepherds Hut. Hut itself was well stocked. It was a bit tired in places and some utensils like pans were a bit greasy.

Perfect place to get back to basics and switch off. Within 10mins drive from coastal resorts. The shepherd's hut was super cute and with the log burner at night so cozy. The pooch enjoyed the outdoors and made friends with the resident goats. Host was great and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Peggy's Hut. The hut is easy to find, easy to get in, has safe off road parking and a large, secure, dog friendly garden. The hut itself was beautifully made, clean inside, and had all the facilities needed for a relaxing mini break. we loved the bathroom shed and the honesty shop. We had a few drinks, a roaring fire, and a good night's sleep on the comfy bed listening to the patter of rain on the tin roof. Perfect. Our thanks to host Rachel. Nick and Emma.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Cat and Andy’s Shepherd Hut for two nights, and it was absolutely lovely. From the moment I booked it, Cat and Andy were very responsive and friendly. I made them aware that this trip would be a surprise for my partner and straight away they made me aware of various add on experiences/ ways they could help to make the stay extra special. The hut is very cosy and compact, having everything one needs for a short stay. No need to worry about being cold as the log burner will keep you warm and is easy to use. We loved the enclosed space where the hut is situated, providing your own outdoor area 🍃🪵 If you’re an animal lover, it’s an extra bonus being so close to the animals who are always happy for you to say hi 🐮🐐🐏. We recommend doing the meet and greet experience with Wonky, Roo and Dave where you can get to know their different personalities! We will definitely consider returning and maybe trying out the Gypsy Wagon in the summer. Thanks cat & An

Liz’s Shepards Hut is situated in a premium slice of the wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The surroundings were stunningly beautiful, even on a chilly, drizzle filled, misty morning. The shepards hut is well designed and was immaculate inside. The water pressure for the shower and taps were really good, and there was a nice selection of cooking utensils for both the indoor and outdoor cooking appliances. There are some really handy charging options for mobile phones too. Despite the cold weather the log burner quickly heated the hut up. We used this location to explore the Brontë Parsonage at Haworth, to visit Harrogate and to take a ride along the heritage railway line down in the main village of Embsay.

Pauline was an exceptional host, huge thanks to her and Christine for allowing a later check out! We were offered an earlier check in too as no guests were there immediately before or after us. This was really appreciated. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and couldn't fault it. I can't use chlorine so it was fab to enjoy this chemical free hot tub and enjoy stargazing that evening. The hut is absolutely stunning and has everything you could need. There's even access to a washing machine, games, maps etc, they really have thought of everything! It was really cold when we visited but the hut was always really cosy and warm. It's a small space but really well laid out and loads of under bed storage so you aren't tripping over luggage. The views and sunset over the field were magical - we even had entertainment from some huge hares playing in the field, joyous! The hut feels close enough to civilisation for amenities but remote enough to switch off completely.
