We spent 4 nights here and I wish it was more. The place is big, pretty and quiet, the beds were hot and comfortable. We got lucky with weather (17°c in february) and were able to do a different hike everyday, it's about 1h30 to reach either tops (one south and one north of the island) walking in the forest and with a nice view when you're there. Easy access without a car, there are 2 different ferries from Saiki and one of them drops/takes you 2 minutes away from the house, they cost 150 and 200 yen. Host is really friendly, helpful, knows well Kyushu (and the rest of Japan) and his kids are sweet and well educated.

The host is super friendly and very lovely. It was very spacious, super quiet, and relaxing as it is out in the countryside. It would be a good place for a group retreat or quiet getaway! Definitely recommended!

Asoya’s was a wonderful stay! This was our first trip to Aso. It was rainy and stormy our first night but the house was easy to find and check into, so we were able to settle in right away. It was cold, but the heaters provided were wonderful and the blankets were super warm. We felt very comfortable. The house is renovated in many areas, but older woodwork was left and the dishes and decor made it feel so cozy and special. We would stay again if in the area!

A cozy typical Japanese house with beautiful surroundings. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, and I am deeply grateful for the kind support. I felt right at home, and it was obvious that the guests are truely cared about.

Tout s'est très bien passé. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour dans cette belle région. La maison est magnifique et très authentique. Notre hôte a été adorable et très efficace. Nous avons été très satisfaits par ses recommandations et sa sympathie. Encore un grand merci pour tout ! Je recommande vivement ce logement.

We had an incredible time here. We were greeted by the host who showed us around the place and explained how to use everything including the indoor and outdoor speakers, the sauna, the fireplaces, the theater room, and the kitchen. It was so nice that we spent extra time here instead of exploring the area. We used the BBQ and Sauna each day, and the host asked if she could freshen up the place while we were out, so we returned to restocked coffee, clean towels, and fresh charcoal for the BBQ. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip.

I had a great stay here while road tripping across Japan! I was able to book it late and the host was very responsive! I especially appreciated the hospitality cabin that guests had access too with complementary supplies. The host also was quick to respond and refill the mosquito repellent in my room when it ran out! Thanks for a great stay!

It was our family trip and it was a very traditional Japanese house and on the first floor there is a cute cafe running by the hosts and we love every part of it. The best part was playing rooms and toys. Our girl enjoyed so much while staying here. Also, host gave us public bath tickets so we could experience the very local bath. We’ll definitely go back!

這是一間很大的房屋，花園可停三輪車，屋主很好人，廚房設備齊全，有免費洗衣機及乾衣機，有溫泉，遺憾的是溫泉不夠熱，如果再熱少許就非常好

The place is lovely and easy to drive to. We have an infant, so having a private onsen at home is a plus. The host is so helpful. I would definitely come back with my family again.
