The place was very homely and private. Pagungwa was exactly as described and very spacious. We enjoyed every moment and even struggled to leave the house. Fadwick and Sidwell were accommodating and took very good care of us and our needs. Totally worth it

We absolutely adored this place! The landscape provided a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. One of our favorite activities was going for walks along the fields to see the sunsets and waking up early to see the sunrises. We also spent a lot of time by the pool, which was very nice! Mandy, Rowland, and Pablo was incredibly kind to us, providing everything we needed as well as showing us their farm and their production. The food prepared by the cook Stanford never disappointed and we were all in all extremely satisfied with our stay! We payed to participate in a cooking class which was interesting and the food turned out very tasteful. We did expect that we would be cooking with the chef, when in reality we only observed him. However, we learned a lot from this and it was a good experience. We were five women in our early twenties staying here for three nights, and we highly recommend this place both to other friend groups, families, and couples of every age!

We enjoyed staying in the beautiful home and loved how spacious and clean the place was. Beautiful scenery, the only suggestion I can make is to make arrangements for a pool as Kariba is a hot place and my family wld have appreciated some way of cooking is down and having fun. The AC in the house makes it so much better in doors, really appreciated . The caretaker and his team were excellent.

Had the whole place with my kids and had a great time. Directions were so easy to follow. The place is so peaceful and with a beautiful sunset on the lake.

Sharon was an amazing host with really great communication which made our stay here very comfortable. The space was clean and comfortable and the on site guard was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Sundowner Orchards in Nyanga District, situated closer to the Mtarazi side, offers a serene and picturesque retreat that’s perfect for a family getaway. We spent Christmas there as a group of ten and had the best experience ever! The space is well-maintained, with a fantastic BBQ area that brought everyone together, and the peaceful ambience made it easy to relax and connect with nature. The staff were incredibly helpful, communication with the host was excellent, and the property offered great value for money. While the road can be tricky for smaller cars, the location is absolutely worth it, especially for those exploring the scenic Mtarazi area. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!

Had a great stay at the cottage with my family. Very clean and beautiful place, we enjoyed the privacy, and peacefulness. Ian was very prompt to responding. Edward and Robert helped with cooking which made our stay even more relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

We had yet another really great stay. The lodge is always so clean. We saw so much wildlife from the lodge which was amazing. A special mention for Robson who made my engagement extra special, nothing was too much to ask! We can't wait to stay again.

We loved our stay. We were three families with four children total and there was more than enough space to be both quiet and loud. Peter and Rosemary took good care of us and Rosemary’s cooking is some of the best we’ve had in Zimbabwe. If you’re looking for a relaxed getaway, don’t hesitate. P.S. find the Nehwa go go and buy fresh eggs and milk very morning!

Safe to say that this place is an absolute gem of place to stay and has made it to the top of my list of homes to stay in connemara. From the comfortable beds with heated blankets and a fireplace in the main bedroom, the luxurious wood-fired outdoor hot tub, and heated floors in the bathrooms (game changer), and large entertaining area, this place is well worth the money. The house is mere steps from the middle dam where there are beautiful hikes around the dam, 2 x fly fishing licenses that come included (just bring own rods) and 2 boats. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Chipo the caretaker was very helpful, cleaning up, making fires indoors and outdoors for the hot tub every day, she made our stay very easy. We will bring friends or family next time for sure!

Anwar was extremely responsive and flexible with us. He checked in the morning after we arrived and was attentive that we felt right at home. He even offer a late check out for us as no one was scheduled to come after. Although we had already planned to leave fairly early, the offer was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have Lemani pick up some local items for us which he did in a very timely fashion. Edith was sweet and attentive to help. They were very respectful of our privacy but ready if and when they were needed. The place was clean and maintained fairly well for an older home and we found the location very private and peaceful The only thing I might mention is that we found it a tad aggressive to forbid pork. Although we did not personally have any in our food , I could see many guests unwittingly planning some meals ahead of time around that kind of meat. We do respect other people beliefs and dietary feeling but it felt somewhat overbearing.
