We've been visiting Joshua Tree for years, but it's really gotten busy there. The Adobe is the ideal desert getaway, just far enough out for total isolation, yet just a fifteen-minute drive to the National Park and the restaurants of downtown Twentynine Palms. The Adobe itself is a legit old-school adobe. The woodwork, the adobe walls, the furnishings -- all of it takes you back and holds you firmly in the early 20th century. It's hard to imagine such a place existing in 2024! Cary was super friendly and helpful, too. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Cary!

Fred and Mary’s home was a peaceful getaway tucked amongst pink blossoming manzanita shrubs in the bud of spring and from their home, Mount Shasta seemed so close you could touch its peak. The way the sun cast its rays upon the mountain was one of the best scenes to enjoy for a slow, easy going morning. Easy to find, very clean and tidy, their home had a bright and cheerful feel. Fred was very personable and helpful! I would definitely stay at this sweet little cottage again.

We had such a fun and unique experience. Perfect for our family! Lots to explore both inside, with the eclectic art, and outside across the sprawling and isolated grounds.

Perfect escape for mind and body, pet-friendly. Talking parrots and dancing emu were wonderful companions! God loves this place. Thank you!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at Karin's incredible Danish-style abode. She was so welcoming and warm upon arrival, and was incredibly accomodating to our adjusted arrival time of 10pm! Anything we could possibly need, Karin had on hand and was always there for us. Waking up to fresh coffee and organic yogurt bowls made us feel like we were staying at a 5 star resort. And echoing everyone else - Karin's omlettes are second to none!! The property itself is also so stunnning, and it truly feels like you're miles away from busy San Francisco. Karin also gave us a fantastic tour of the area on her ATV, including her baby chickens and beautiful free-roaming horses! Whether you're looking for a quick getaway like us, or are interested in staying for a full week's time, I can't recommend Karin's one of a kind home enough. We're looking forward to our next stay!

The land in the sky is a gem! We had everything we needed and space to spare. I would 11/10 come back to stay. Know that you will be on a dirt road to get here, just like Nathan describes. And that the park is about a 25 min drive just to get to the gates. It was so, so worth it though. We captured every sunrise and sunset just by staying here. Not to mention EPIC skies at night that are truly undisturbed by any surrounding light. We did leave early for one morning hike and it all worked out perfectly. The record player skips but it still played some of the albums and really brought the place to life!

Catalina and Javier were very friendly and kind to let me stay with them.

The house was perfect for our group trip to Palm Springs. The beautiful backyard was perfect for lounging by the pool and enjoying the weather, and the rooms were set up well. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location is convenient and close to downtown. As noted by others the house is in the flight path to the airport. The more sensitive sleepers in our group noticed the noise from airplanes taking off and landing early in the morning, while others weren't bothered by it at all. However overall it was a great stay in a great house and great location!

Fantastic place to stay with a large group, and a great location! Cheap lyfts to the gas lamp and airport. Right by Balboa Park and walkable to several wonderful restaurants. The apartments were very clean and had all amenities we'd need. The hosts were very organized. Highly recommended!

the listing's description lives up to expectations! we had a wonderful stay here and found it to be especially spacious and comfortable. the proximity and walkability to supermarkets, starbucks, and the PSP airport were added bonuses. trung was a lovely host - i would gladly absolutely recommend a stay here. thank you for having us!

Overall my friends and I had an amazing stay. A few things were broken small but noticeable. Quiet and peaceful, great to just relax and chill in.

This La Quinta property was perfect for three of us and our plans to golf in neighboring PGA West. Kirstin was proactive and welcoming in her communication. The property was exactly as represented in the photos. The pool and spa were nice amenities to enjoy before and after our days out. With Old Town nearby, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and BBQ’ing on the patio was another simple pleasure. Besides being clean and quaint with the Mexican motif, having the little things like coffee making supplies and some condiments available makes it feel like you’re at home and you don’t have to make trip to the store for every little thing. We will likely look to book this property again next year on our next buddy golf adventure to the Coachella Valley.

We had a wonderful stay at Terra's home! It was a great place to stay for us as a base to go up to the snow, and being in such a magical house with beautiful surroundings added a lot of enjoyment to our trip. We loved seeing all the animals nearby and going for a hike down to the river. I'm hoping we get to return for another season soon!

This was an incredible stay, the property is STUNNING and well looked after. Like camping but better. I wish I had more than one night here! The host was excellent, very communicative and the yurt was clean. Loved the indoor fireplace and having the shower nearby. Very private. Will be back!

We visited from San Francisco- lots of people and cars. We came to the this nature surrounding house, that kind of reminds me of princesses Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki. My kids love to explore secured vibe large yard - well, it’s like huge nature with a big private lake. We were able to experience new feelings that haven’t been seen recently and overall, this place made our time fly quickly. I wish we could stay there longer.

In short, the Hobbit house was amazing. I do like to make note that there were various places with spider webs that were visually unpleasant, inbetween the door slider to the balcony, on the way to the little sauna-like room accessible in the bathroom of the main bedroom, or the fireplace that is clearly never used. These are nitpicks that dings a bit but nothing to undermine how great this place is. There are many special places I've stayed and this is one of the few that I would actually mean it when i say I'll be back.

Wow! This place was fantastic. I spent a long weekend at this home with two friends for my birthday weekend and had a blast. The home is exactly like the photos, even better I would argue! The bathtub by the window is divine. All the beds and pillows were so comfortable. We had a spectacular time and can’t wait to come back again! The hosts were so kind and accommodating, they even sent me a personalized chocolate cake for my birthday celebration! Could not recommend more!!

What an amazing long weekend we had at Casa Tierra! The house is beautiful, the views even more so. The real highlight of the trip might be Bo though--I've never met a sweeter cat and we had a lot of fun petting him every time he showed up on our porch! The house is spacious, unique, and well-stocked (lots of games, kitchen tools, spare blankets, heaters for the bedrooms, shampoo, etc.) We appreciated the fire that was going before we arrived, and my daughter described her bath after a day of hiking as "the coziest EVER!" The driveway is long but Isabel's instructions and photos made it very easy to find. Our trip came with some unexpected adventures--a tree down across the driveway and a thunderstorm that knocked out the power, but Steve took care of the tree quickly and Isabel texted to tell us where to find lanterns and a lighter for the stove. Casa Tierra was the perfect home base for a fun weekend in Fort Bragg/Mendocino, and we will definitely stay here again in the future!

Amazing experience! My husband booked our stay for our anniversary & everything exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect setting & breakfast was incredible both days we were there. We truly felt like we stayed in the Shire! Highly recommend especially if you are a Tolkien fan!

My whole family gathered for Thanksgiving here. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures! It was like an oasis and we found everything one needed to feel right at home. We highly recommend this stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Yucca Valley! The location was perfect—quiet, private, and surrounded by stunning views. We especially loved watching the sunrises. Inside, the space was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Jen was a fantastic host—very responsive and full of great local recommendations. Highly recommend this place!

If you’re looking for 5 star this isn’t it. However, if you want a great memorable unique cozy couples get away. It’s perfect for that. 😊
