It’s too bad we couldn’t have stayed longer but hope to be back to enjoy more of this beautiful stay . The homemade , warm breakfast and coffee was delicious . Becky is a very sweet host !

Everything about our stay was outstanding. The house is in a great location for a quiet getaway, but close to New Braunfels, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Gruene, etc. for fun activities and dining. The house was perfect for our group of five adults. The balcony views of the hill country, especially at sunset was a highlight. Our hosts did everything to make us feel like welcome guests in their home.

Amazing piece of property and great stay. Becky was very accommodating and the breakfasts were homemade and makes you appreciate country living. We are from the city so it is so nice and peaceful to get out in the county surrounded by animals and pastures. Don’t worry about chickens waking you up at 6am as that wasn’t the case, and all the animals were very cool to look at. Becky is a great host and we will no doubt be staying at that location again the future. Great location right off 281. Very easy to get to San Antonio or canyon lake. Don’t pass up this stay!

Great place, a little tough to find but we did arrive at night. The house was great, we will be staying again next time we come to San Marcos.

What an amazing place! The studio was clean and cozy with everything we needed for our stay. The yard outside the studio was a beautiful spot for outdoor dining on the giant picnic table. We enjoyed swinging in the hammock and sitting by the fire ring in the evening. We loved walking around the ranch and looking at all the flowers, the scenery, the horses (especially the new foal), etc. The hike around the mountain/hill was just strenuous enough with lots of beautiful views (be sure to bring water)! Finally, their spot on the river was perfect. At this time of year many spots have run dry or stagnant, however, at Montesino there was still enough water in the swimming hole to have a good soak. It’s warm (as all Tx rivers are at this time of year), and there’s moss covering the rocks (again, as every river in Tx has right now) but the water is moving so it’s not stagnant and it’s still cool enough before 3 pm to be refreshing! It was a lovely time!

Love staying in campfire circle and Donna’s place was no exception. It was perfect for our crew, had stunning views, lots of deer, and each room was cutely decorated for Christmas. The house is FULLY stocked with anything you may need, which is much appreciated. This is how Airbnb used to be before all the good properties were snatched up by corporations. Classic, family owned home with all the charm and attention to detail.

Montesino is a great stay if you intend to enjoy what they have to offer. Wish the weather would have been nicer during our visit so that we could have enjoyed walking the trails and the river access. The serenity at night is top notch. And the bed is by far one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Pam was very responsive to our needs and very helpful. With that being said there were some downfalls 1) we had some guests that weren’t too courteous about quiet hours that were LOUD close to midnight. I could hear them cackling that even the comfy bed didn’t keep me asleep. This is obviously not hosts fault. 2) the window coverings could be thicker to allow for darker room in the morning. If sleeping in is a goal this could be an issue. 3) the towels were clean but they didn’t smell clean. Smelled like they were washed and stored and then set out. 4) the water pressure is low but gets the job done With that being said: I would 100% stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the farmhouse! Our hosts were kind and good communicators. It was the perfect space for my family while traveling to TX to see more family. Will definitely book again.

We loved it so much, the perfect space for our little family at a really great price. They were more than accommodating. I also didn’t realize how large the backyard was and it was definitely a plus for our kids to have some space to run around. Will definitely be back!

A great stay overall. Our crew was a family with adult children, and this was a perfect space for that. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub and multiple decks were nice (they could use refinishing though). Great views of the hill country and good proximity to town. Even with steep hills, the neighborhood was nice for walking. The rooms and space were as described. Overall clean but we did have an issue with some bedsheets. However, the response was immediate, apologetic, and was resolved. We used the grill while we were there and it worked just fine. One thing to note is the sound of the floors. If you're in one of the downstairs rooms and there is activity in the kitchen and living room above, you will hear it. Not much can be done about that, just a note for light sleepers. Should I be in the Canyon Lake area with a group, I would stay again.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We stayed here to attend a wedding at Camp Fimfo and it was a perfect distance from the venue. We would stay here again :)

We loved Sherry's place! We had three families of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids each) all stay comfortably. Everything was clean and we felt it was much larger than what was represented by the photos. The kids enjoyed the pool and we caught and released several perch, bass, and catfish in the pond. Plenty of space for the adults to relax both indoors and outdoors. Conveniently located just off the highway but still felt very secluded. Host was responsive and we have no complaints. We'd for sure visit again.

My family had a wonderful stay! It had everything we needed and spacious for 5 adults, a toddler plus 2 dogs. My daughter adored the tree house and it was a nice treat to lounge by the pool even though it was too cold to go in. We look forward to staying here again in the future! I highly recommend staying at Brent and Kim’s place.

This place is amazing, we will definitely be back. It it located right off the river, the pictures are accurate. The kitchen is fully stocked, there are ice chests for usage and plenty of nice outside seating. The inside is immaculate and the outside scenery is beautiful. We woke up to deer in the window. It is secluded and private but not too far away from town, if you would like to venture out. I book tons of air bnbs on my work account and the hosts for this property are by far the best I have ever dealt with. They are responsive and send extremely detailed useful information regarding the property and information that list close restaurants and activities. We had a wonderful time with our family, I can’t wait to go back. Deserves more than 5 stars!

I have never been able to stay at such a beautiful, enchanting accommodation at such a great price point! The entire property is like stepping into a dream and the villa itself is unreal. The pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, and greenery are incredible! Check in and out are easy and their welcome binder makes every villa process easy to figure out. Barbara is such a kind, phenomenal host who I cannot say enough good things about! The property manager is wonderful as well. They are absolutely the heart of this place! It is so clear that this is a labor of love and I am so grateful for having the chance to have spent just over a week here. There is even a book with local recommendations for guests! I highly recommend this villa for any person or group and am already looking at return possibilities to see how soon my best friend and I are able to come back. We had the best trip of our lives!

Great house, great property, love the peaceful atmosphere. The donkeys were great, we loved giving them carrots. The host was extremely accommodating and friendly, very responsive and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The wedding venue is one driveway away. The state park is only a couple minutes drive away. Just amazing in all the ways!!

Even better than expected! This was a perfect spot for our staycation, right outside of Austin. Best part was waking up to a dozen cows outside the front of the house! The kids loved it.

It was perfect for us! Peaceful and private and Kathleen and her husband are great hosts! House is beautifully decorated and clean. We loved it!

The host was amazing. With it being a private farm, he was there every day but respected our privacy. We arranged a wine and jelly tasting. He personalized it at the home and the ladies loved the private event. Overall we enjoy the stay and would highly recommend this Airbnb.

The home was beautiful and the location was perfect for us. We wanted to feel far away but be able to find great food and activities with a short drive and that was exactly what we got! The layout was perfect for us and our two teenage boys. Plenty of separation when we needed it and great community spots to hang out together. We especially loved all the outdoor spaces, patio furniture, and decks. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and lounging in the hammocks. The deer were so sweet and providing the feed for them was such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We brought our own French press (coffee addict here 👋🏽) and I broke it on day 2 only to find there was one provided already. My husband had to work but didn’t mind that much with the desk looking out either the front or back windows with the gorgeous scenery. I hope we can come back! It was perfect.
