Join me, an architect and preservationist, on a walking tour through tree-lined streets and historic landmarks as we uncover the stories behind one of the city’s most significant neighborhoods. • Meet at a historic Hyde Park Fire Station, where I’ll introduce Hyde Park’s origins as a street-car suburb and its more recent history of progressive leadership. • Stroll past restored Victorian homes and early-20th-century bungalows, tree-lined streets and alleys as I share stories of the architects, residents, and preservationists who shaped the neighborhood. • Visit Shipe Park and the Elisabet Ney Museum, two landmarks saved by community-led efforts, and learn how Hyde Park evolved from an exclusive Victorian-era district to a diverse neighborhood navigating modern redevelopment. • Along the way, I’ll discuss Austin’s approach to historic preservation and the balance between growth and maintaining architectural heritage. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of Hyde Park’s past, and the many forces working to define its future.

Paint Texas wildflowers with a watercolor artist

Settle into Nomadic Beerworks, one of my favorite South Austin breweries, for a laid-back and creative painting session. In this two-hour experience, you’ll paint Texas’ vibrant wildflowers and plants while learning fundamental watercolor techniques—all in a relaxed atmosphere where you can sip on craft brews, coffee, or other refreshments from the bar. • Explore watercolor techniques through guided exercises. We’ll practice brushwork, color mixing, and layering to create depth and texture using materials I’ll provide. • Sketch and paint Texas wildflowers, focusing on their distinct shapes and colors. I’ll demonstrate techniques for bringing bluebonnets, prickly pears, and other native plants to life on paper. • Add texture and refine details as you personalize your painting. We’ll discuss composition, balance, and finishing touches to make each piece unique. We’ll wrap up by sharing our work and reflecting on the process. This class is more than just a painting lesson—it's an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and express your artistic vision, all while enjoying the welcoming energy of a South Austin brewery. Take an artist’s tour of Houston's graffiti landmarks

Take an immersive look into Houston’s vibrant graffiti and street art scene on a two-hour walk with me, GONZO247, a renowned graffiti artist who has been shaping the city’s art landscape for more than 35 years. • Meet in Luckie's Pocket the location of my studio and the historic Charles W. Luckie Schoolhouse. I’ll share a little about my background and walk you around the Houston Wall of Fame and the future site of the Houston Graffiti and Street Art Museum (GASAM). • Next, wander over to Graffiti Park, where all the walls are covered in murals. I’ll point out works by key artists—like The One Lee, the late DECKWGF, Sylvia Blanco, Nicky Davis, and me!—and discuss the ever-changing nature of street art. • Once we return to my studio, you’ll get a chance to sign the Wall of Fame and take photos. You’ll leave with an insider perspective on street art in Houston, and the opportunity to purchase original GONZO247 artwork or merchandise.

In this beginner Silversmithing class, you will pick out your own stone and create the setting and ring band. We'll get familiar with the torch, jeweler's saw, flex shaft drill, anvil & bench pin, together. We'll solder the bezel, cut out the setting and file it flat. Then we create your ring shank according to your own size and solder them together. We'll finish your ring by setting the stone and polishing the piece. All finished work is in sterling silver and you get to go home with a brand new ring! Patience is required. No experience necessary. *Other things to note* Please dress for the occasion! We'll be sawing metal and using messy materials. Don't wear anything dangly and please have closed toe shoes on. This activity is hands on and messy! Also to note: long fingernails could make this a little harder, but it is doable!

I will start out by giving you a demo of alcohol inks in my New Braunfels studio. I will explain how to use the inks and will provide a step by step process. No experience necessary at all. This is a fun and relaxing painting process. You will go home with two amazing art pieces. The colors are vibrant and beautiful! We will practice using canned air to create flowers and other designs. I will show you how to create a landscape. You can also create whatever you like and I will guide you and give you tips. Classes are $65 each (1-4), however groups of 5 are $55 per person. Let me know if you would like to have a group of 5. I am one of the alcohol ink pioneers in teaching here in Texas!

We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of homemade wine from our organic orchard, wildcrafted herbal tea, and/or fruit-infused spring water from our bar before we get started. Once everyone is settled with a beverage, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session. For those who are interested, you will also have an opportunity to tour our urban homestead and be immersed in the many endeavors we have going. Other things to note: -We have free-range chickens and 2 outdoor farm cats. All are friendly. :) -If you aren't seeing the date or time you'd like available on the calendar, feel free to send me a message and we'll try to work something out if possible! -In order to maintain the very intimate nature of this experience and the value for all guests, we typically do not allow non-participating onlookers. Please ensure you book a slot for all members of your party so we can be adequately prepared for you.

I have recently opened a VERY insta worthy tarot lounge in trendy East ATX. Let bring you into my world of magick! The purpose of tarot is to get to truth—so that you can formulate your own answers. It’s a way to give yourself advice, I’m just the story teller guiding you on the journey. We’ll begin with an intro and discussion on tarot, and continue to an in-depth card reading to gain insight and perspective on where you are and where your would like to go.    The experience begins promptly at the scheduled time. Bear in mind that traffic in Austin is considerable at all times. Guests who arrive later than 15 minutes into the experience are subject to a non-refundable cancellation or additional fees for rescheduling. Pets and kids are politely declined. Not in Austin?
