Camille's cottage is such a lovely sanctuary! Tucked away in a stunning garden, the space has everything you need to truly relax and retreat. I especially loved rambling around the Berkeley neighborhood hills and taking in the Spring blossoms. Camille is incredibly thoughtful and responsive, getting back to me within an hour whenever I had a question. I will definitely return on my next stay to the East Bay!

We enjoyed our stay at Paul and Jenn's place. It was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a pleasant stay with our toddler. Both driveway and street parking were easy, and the location was convenient whether driving or walking. The mattress was squishier than we'd prefer, but we'd still stay here again. Thanks, Paul and Jenn!

Amanda’s place and garden were gorgeous in the early springtime and it was the perfect place to get ready for my wedding and take our first look pictures outside. Amanda was super quick to respond and was very accommodating to my last-minute request.

This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

What a gem! So grateful for my stay at Victoria’s place. I was there for 3 nights during the week as I attend a school nearby and usually have to commute 1.5 hours to get there. I wanted a peaceful place to relax and study and have some “me” time away from family and it was exactly that. So cozy, the backyard is beautiful, Victoria is very kind and welcoming, and her dogs are super cute. Definitely recommend!

I rented Polina’s place for my daughter and toddler grandson during their visit to the area because my husband and I did not have room for them to stay with us. It was an excellent choice - a lovely well maintained unit on the grounds of Polina and her family’s home in the hills above Walnut Creek. Very peaceful area, yet close to downtown and transportation options. Polina was so kind and helpful, the unit has everything one would need for a short stay in the area. Highly recommended and a good value for the area.

This is a lovely little place conveniently located near North Berkeley and University Village. It's a safe family neighborhood with parking. Raquel is very responsive and I highly recommend this accommodation.

Barak greeted me upon arrival and gave me a few pointers about using the lights and heat. The guesthouse is just as described. I appreciated all of the thought that went into the design of the space (lighting & heated bathroom floor) and all of the amenities provided, including filtered water. Barak communicated promptly and allowed me to have a later check out time. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to College Ave. restaurants and shops. I highly recommend a stay here!

The guest house is tiny but very clean and quiet. Perfect for the three nights we stayed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the bay, bridge, and city lights. The private patio allowed us space to enjoy the outdoors while visiting with my son and his girlfriend who are Berkeley students. The robes and slippers for the hot tub were a nice touch. You definitely want to have a car if you stay up in the hills as the hike up is steep. We had a rental car and there was plenty of street parking available.

After all the glowing reviews already posted, there is not much to add. The space was so clean and inviting, and Ena went above, and beyond to accommodate my allergies. My husband appreciated the chocolates that greeted us when we arrived. Because it was listed as a cottage, we were expecting a much smaller place. The home has a spacious, very comfortable living room, a full kitchen with kitchen table that seats four, a full-size bedroom, and well-appointed bathroom. I hope to spend more than a week there on my next visit.

What a wonderful stay! We were visiting from the East Coast and had fond nostalgia of living in this neighborhood many years ago. Staying at this cozy, well appointed guesthouse made reliving those memories possible. Beth is such a lovely & responsive host: she made us feel right at home from an easy check-in to our very last day. The location is perfect! Easy walk to BART, Market Hall, and great restaurants. Thank you Beth (loved the coffee and popcorn too … all the right touches!)

This is my second time staying at Melanie and Travis’ place and it’s amazing! I truly love it. It’s so comfortable, has everything you need, is in a perfect location and has a driveway! This is my go-to anytime I’m in the area. I was lucky enough to meet Melanie and Travis and they are such lovely hosts! Truly a gem!

This guest cottage was everything i hoped for! Stephen was a great host and I very much enjoyed my stay. Great location with many restaurants options that are walkable. Beautiful neighborhood with pretty sights. Highly recommend!

The casita was a great home base for my boyfriend and I as we took a weekend to explore Oakland, SF and the surrounding areas. I enjoyed staying in Oakland because it allowed us to see different perspectives of the city and multiple different neighborhoods. This space felt safe and James has put in effort to make the casita a high tech space which is fun to experience. There is also a convenience store very close to the casita if you need anything such as snacks. Parking was not an issue as there is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. I would recommend this space for a couple exploring the Bay Area.

Karim’s space is nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and he was responsive but unobtrusive. Location is great, close to retail and restaurants, good base for exploring. The accommodation’s are a little tight for two but would be ideal for one. That said my wife and I enjoyed our stay!

Sarah was a wonderful host and the place was even better than expected. We appreciated having such a beautiful, serene place to rest our heads after exploring. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area!

Liri and Ramsey were great hosts in our stay in Oakland. They were kind and we would stay again when we come back to the Bay Area.

Loved our stay at Nanci's cottage, which is tucked away in a peaceful green little oasis in Rockridge. It was just as expected from the description - cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The garden outside the door is a delight, even in cool weather. Communication with Nanci was great and we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet her and Cinder in person when we checked in. Located within easy walking distance of Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Market Hall, Safeway, as well as BART and other fun shops such as Pegasus Books, Hudson Bay Café, Chocolate Dragon Café and Cole Hardware, we had no need for a rental car while in town. We will definitely be back!

Diana's guest house was such a cozy and comfortable stay for my family (two adults & a toddler). There were many thoughtful touches from the host. The bed was cozy and there was enough space for all of us and our things. The location is lovely and quiet, we felt safe and had no issue with street parking. It's well located to great restaurants and shops. We would love to stay here again sometime, I'm happy to recommend it!

Host knocked it outa the park, appreciate it. The house itself was perfect and easy to fine, beds was comfortable and had everything ya needed. Toilet paper wasn't the cheap kind either 😂

The place was clean, updated, super comfy mattresses, neighborhood felt very safe, cost was comparable to a hotel but Ryan’s place was more comfortable. Ryan was responsive, friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Our third stay at this wonderful studio. The location is terrific and the space is just right for two. We travel a lot and this place is a real home away from home for us.

I had such a wonderful experience staying here. From the very beginning, Bonnie was incredibly responsive, kind, and accommodating—always helpful in answering any questions I had. The warmth of her hospitality, along with the inviting atmosphere of the home, made my stay so enjoyable that I ended up extending it. The cubby itself is stunning—it has that Maybeck charm that blends into the serene surrounding and it is decorated with lovely touches that reflect Bonnie's excellent taste. Waking up to sunlight streaming through the kitchen windows, with a view of the bay and redwoods, while sipping coffee was heavenly. The bed was very comfortable and the house is well-equipped, especially if you like to cook. Bonnie's house book was FULL of local gems—wonderful restaurants and activities I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. The cubby is a restful retreat in nature, perfect for contemplation and creative inspiration. I would absolutely love to return.
