Cynthia and Bills home was incredible. It was about $200 cheaper to stay at their place than any of the surrounding hotels (and their place was much nicer)! I grew up in Placerville and knew the area fairly well so it was not hard to find. The GPS takes you directly to their home. I will be staying here again. If you are looking to stay here, please do, you will not be disappointed! The bed was extremely comfortable, room was clean and smelled nice. Everything felt like home!

This place is amazing! Tevis and Darien are incredibly hospitable and make you feel right at home. The Shangri La lounge and healing center is both tranquil and fun, perfect for both relaxation and adventure. There are trails full of beautiful scenery. Old Town Auburn is minutes away. Lake Tahoe is a short drive. The interior decor is fun, eclectic and charming- with just the right mix of everything, a slightly safari themed, relaxing retreat center filled with Darien's wonderful artwork. I'd definitely stay again.

We decided to escape the chaos of Sacramento during NYE, as the fireworks by the river have gotten out of hand. Chris' place was the perfect peaceful retreat. Upon arrival, Chris greeted us, gave us a tour, and mentioned he was available if we had any questions or needed anything. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy from our brief interaction. The guesthouse was spacious and just right for both us and our dog. The property itself was beautiful, with plenty of room for our dog to run and explore. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—peaceful surroundings, great hosts, and the ideal spot to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Great location! Great amenities! Rustic style! Big pine trees! Cozy fireplace! Charming old stove! When you imagine a tahoe cabin, this is the place you are thinking of. You have to drive to get to the slopes, but there's a lot of restaraunts nearby in walking distance. Plus you've got that hot tub nestled in the pines, waiting for you when you get off the slopes. My dog LOVED running around in the fenced in yard.

Both the property and the host were amazing. The apartment is VERY close (2-3 minute drive) to the Stagecoach express lift, and access is super easy - always free spots in parking lot, then walk straight into condo without stairs and the condo is the first one. Host Ian was very proactive in communications with us and very clear about what the property is and is not (it is not really ski-in or ski-out). He was also super kind and, when I told him we didn’t drink wine, he went out of his way to send us apple cider (my kids’ favorite). Ian deserves an A+ for hospitality. We will be back!

Jay was a great host, easy check in, the place was nice and clean. Great place for 5-6 people for a weekend trip on the slopes. The fireplace was really nice. The place was in a private area which was a plus too. Near by Safeway, easy to get groceries. Would recommend staying here for a nice kickback vacation.

Dustin's place is very comfortable and one of the most conveniently located I've ever stayed at in Tahoe. It was super easy to get to Heavenly, either by walking or by shuttle. The views from the property were beautiful! And Dustin was extremely helpful and responsive with answering questions and providing suggestions about local places to visit. I would definitely stay at Dustin's again!

We will be back! Loved it so relaxing. We brought food to cook and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. Just remember to bring some oil. Great spot walkable to the state park and 1 min from the river. Nancy whom is the on site manager was wonderful.

Our visit was such a beautiful stay. Our entire family, including our pets enjoyed the home and its amenities. It offered deck with grilling and outdoor seating for breakfast or coffee. The yard below offers fire pit with tree stumps surrounding it for s’mores. Behind the home is a clean and well maintained hot tub that the teens enjoyed. It’s very peaceful and quiet at night. The home has a great layout with well kept furniture and appliances that all functioned. The bedding felt like hotel quality and towels, as well. The hosts were great in keeping a well stocked home with everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and even a thoughtful welcome basket with coffee pods! Overall, fantastic stay. We ventured to hike at Hazel Meadow to see the waterfall. A breathtaking hike around Jenkinson Lake.
