History walk and picnic atop Fiesole with a local architect

This peaceful walk and picnic in Fiesole will give you up-close insight into the area’s art, architecture, history, and nature. •The walk is 1,5 km (approximately 1 mile) uphill !! the average slope is 13% and the difference in height is 195 meter so Is not a flat walk! • the meeting point is moreorless 6 km far from the centre of Florence . i would suggest to get the bus n.7 at Piazza Libertà and get off at "Di San Domenico Istituto Europeo" bus stop. • We’ll meet at the fountain in San Domenico in the municipality of Fiesole then move to pick up schiacciata, a traditional Tuscan focaccia, for our picnic. I’ll introduce you to local ingredients like prosciutto crudo, finocchiona. • We’ll visit the Convento di San Domenico before following the ancient Etruscan road to Fiesole. Along the way, I’ll share stories about the architecture's villas (Villa dei Vescovi, Villa le Balze) and landscape, including the 15th-century Pazzi conspiracy at Villa Medici. • At the hilltop Convent of San Francesco, we’ll pause to enjoy our picnic and panoramic views of Florence, the Roman Theatre, and the surrounding hills. Afterward, we’ll head back to Piazza Mino, where I’ll offer recommendations for a well-deserved coffee or aperitivo. Ma ferme : trois expériences en une journée

Immerse yourself in the Tuscan countryside with 3 different experiences! We'll meet in Florence, where a driver will take you to our farm in just 45 minutes. What will we do? 1) Walk among country fields, ancient olive trees and vineyards, enjoy the landscape, the plants, the explanation of our history with plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos.  You may even meet our friendly, domesticated pig! In September taste the grapes! 2) Visit the cellar and taste 5 organic Tuscan wines: white, red, aged straight from the barrel, and "Vin Santo" a classic sweet wine. You’ll also sample our premium olive oil and watch a short film about our mission. You'll have the chance to purchase wines at exclusive cellar prices or order them to ship. 3) The final part is all about making fresh pasta! Raffaella or Laura will teach you how to craft it using authentic techniques, then cook all your pasta together (it won't be possible to do individual cooking) to enjoy it as a group at a long table, just like a traditional Italian family. Our organic wine will accompany the meal. We'll be around 20 participants for an authentic Italian experience. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The round trip to Florence has a cost of 20 Euro per person to be paid directly to the driver by card before the return journey.

We going to start with a little introduction to the ingredients, after that we are going to do the dough and you will be able to prepare you own pasta from scratch! Our skilled instructors are ready to guide you step-by-step through this unforgettable experience at our cooking school. You’ll also learn to prepare fresh spaghetti from scratch. Located in the vibrant San Frediano district, our school is easily accessible by foot from anywhere in the historic center. We’ll provide all the essential tools for your pasta-making experience, including aprons, rolling pins, pasta cutters, eggs, and flour. You will be guided in making your fresh pasta complementing it with delicious sauces, prepared ahead of time for the flavors to blend—vital secrets for achieving authentic Italian pasta back in your kitchen. During the class, we’ll serve organic wine from my farm, produced using natural methods, with your meal. If you’d like to enjoy some wine before mealtime, you’re welcome to purchase bottles from our shop before the class begins. This is a 2h outdoor historic walking, starts from the Basilica of Santa Croce (Meeting point) and continues towards the Brunelleschi's Dome. I will guide you through understanding how Florence dominated the world in the past centuries and enchanted it with its art and crafts. You will learn about its past through the fascinating biographies of its great citizens: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dante, and many others, and with a special focus on the Medici Family that dominated the city for three centuries! While being carried away in Florence intriguing past, you will be able to see the city's beating center, breath in its vibrant and charming atmosphere and walk past many of its must-visit famous monumnets and my favorite hidden gems. * In the summer my tour at 7PM is the best to avoid the crowds, the sultry heat and the the city is fabulous at sunset! Visiteremo insieme la Val d’Orcia e in particolare la zona delle Crete senesi, il Site transitoire, l’area dell’Agriturismo Baccoleno, il paesino di Chiusure, i cipressi di San Quirico, la meravigliosa città di Pienza (patrimonio dell’Unesco), il punto dove hanno girato il film Il Gladiatore (Pieve di Corsignano / Agriturismo Terrapille), la sorprendente Bagno Vignoni e infine Poggio Covili.
