This was one of the most unusual places I’ve ever stayed in. We did have a few walkers come up from Chatsworth and admire the view but mainly we were in splendid isolation. Walking around the woods and admiring the Aqueduct in the evening was quite magical; it felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. The tower itself is an amazing survival from Tudor times and has been modernised sympathetically. The round shower was a favourite feature. The nearby farm shop was very good with a wide range of good quality food. It did snow whilst we were there but Sandra from Chatsworth Cottages kept in touch and made sure we were fine which was much appreciated. Altogether I would recommend the tower for anyone who wants to stay somewhere unusual and highly memorable. One word of caution though there is a spiral staircase connecting the floors so the building is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

This was our first stay in Nisbet Tower, which was formerly part of Eyemouth's defence system in warring times. It has been beautifully restored and renovated, a very striking building. The tower is located very close to the astounding rocky coastline on the south side of the harbour. Walking in the area is easy and memorable.

This place is truly one of a kind—full of character, charm, and delightful quirks that make it stand out from the usual stays. Every little detail felt thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere that was both cosy and full of personality. What made it even more memorable was the incredible warmth and hospitality. We were made to feel so welcome as if we were staying with an old friend rather than just a guest. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and filled with little surprises that made us smile. If you’re looking for something different from the ordinary, a place with heart and soul, this is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will be returning!

What a wonderful stay, I wished we stayed longer. Upon arrival I was met by Russell and he really is such an interesting character! For anyone about thinking twice because of the meet & greet worry no more! It really made the whole experience so much better. It’s situated in a perfect area for anyone looking to go out for food & drinks too! Most within walking distance and a great selection of bars. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay, we can’t wait to comeback!

The fact that you have taken a Grade 2 listed building to another level is beyond beliefs and the Panoramic views from the top are truly amazing. Jannettes welcome and prior communication was second to none. The location, room in the Penthouse Suite was amazing. Instructions and Russell's guided tour on iPad are foolproof and truly amazing in what you have created through blood, sweat and tears but wow what a result and honoured to allow people to stay and mildly contribute towards your beyond unique home. Your lovely touches with beautiful fizzy on arrival and snacks. Spotless and you thought of everything to make guests enjoy their stay. Beautiful people ❤️, extravagant stay but welcoming and so full of history and you have kept this alive. Absolutely flawless and can't praise you both enough. Our family had a fantastic stay at the Tonwell Water Tower Airbnb! The stunning views were a highlight, and the unique 70s style combined with modern amenities made for a cozy yet chic experience. Beautifully decorated throughout. The hosts were incredibly attentive and welcoming, leaving us thoughtful touches like milk, bread and chocolates, which was much appreciated upon our late-night arrival. The Daikin heat pump and Duco fresh air system ensured our comfort, and their suggestions for family outings were spot on. Highly recommend this uniquely charming retreat for anyone looking to unwind!

What a lovely find! The Water Tower is a stunning building and has been so thoughtfully designed. The space is impressive and we loved our weekend here. Lovely and quiet location, hot showers and wide windows that let the sunlight stream in. Thank you, Peter!
