This house is located in a fantastic location, only a 6 min walk from the nearest station. Shiho, the host, was very accommodating. She greeted us as we arrived and gave a house tour. She also asked how we were going and made sure everyone was okay, something that is rarely done for Airbnb hosts. Everything in the house was clean and organised, the beds and futons were comfortable, and overall we had a great time staying at this place.

Outdoor bath was amazing after a long day or walking around. Temple down the street was beautiful at night. Had dinner down the street from the place at Hiroshi and the food was great. Cafe and Beer Studio Jibubya was tun for drinks. Lawson is walkable from the place.

it's great staying at 紅梅's place. Although it took a little time and effort to find the place at first and get in, it was worth staying close to Kyoto station. The house is spacious and has all amenities. The host is very nice and cordial. I recommend this place in Kyoto for a spacious stay in a traditional Japanese house.

Mrs. Yoshino's place was very nice. Would love to stay here again. She goes out of her way to make you comfortable.

We did have a great stay here. The location is ideal for the Nakasendo walk. We had ideal day for walking through villages from Magome to Nagiso among blooming cherry trees and through cedar forests. Narai town was also wonderful for a day trip. What an atmospheric place. So great access to these places. That said, the accommodation was rustic and charming. But, as it was early April, the heating was not quite adequate in evenings and mornings. Also, though there were stools in the dining area, you will need to be happy to sit on the floor as there is only one bean bag chair. Beyond that, kitchen facilities were fine and shower was great. The host was really fantastic and helped us immensely when my friend lost his credit card. So, all in all, a great stay, but be prepared for a bit rustic and maybe a bit cold if it’s early or late in the season.

Yoko was the sweetest and most responsive host. Her place was clean, homey, and it felt like a step back into time. She even left fresh strawberries in the fridge for us! The area is quiet and it’s walking distance to the metro and other shops. It’s a good place to land when exploring Kyoto. The only negative was that we had to pay an additional accommodation tax that I never saw anything mentioned about. However, I might have missed that somewhere. I don’t know that it takes away, but you should be warned that there will be additional fees.

Pristine and peaceful traditional, two story Japanese home with a great location, steps from a sweet natural wine bar, around the corner from Kurashiki's main attractions and not far from a groovy, albeit rudimentary sento, for those of you who like to bathe in classic Japanese public bath houses. Loved everything about this little gem. It was clean and spacious enough for three guests to each get their own bedrooms with supremely comfortable futon beds. There's even an extra room that can be used as a social area, though we found it practical to store our unpacked suitcases here. The kitchen and dining area have everything you need, the bath is small but a nice addition to the separate shower. The tiny garden has a little indoor/outdoor seating area which is perfect for early morning tea or an afternoon drink. Bonus points for the two toilets, one on each floor. And extra bonus points for the kind and attentive host who even offered us a late checkout.

We loved this space! Great location in the center of town, right on the Bus loop so we could get anywhere we wanted, a PS2 on deck, and a wonderful Japanese bath setup- what more could you ask for. Would book again! Thanks so much for the wonderful stay.

A wonderful and great experience that I really enjoyed. I felt completely at ease. Very helpful advice, everything explained and excellently prepared. The communication is very good and very friendly. I am very, very satisfied.

This accommodation is a renovated machiya. It combines the charm of a typical Japanese house -- tatami rooms and small private garden -- with all the modern conveniences. Great kitchen with everything you'll need. Nice bathroom. Plenty of storage space. Two bedrooms upstairs, one a tatami room with futon(s) and the other with Western-style beds. Plus a toilet upstairs, so no trips downstairs during the night. Easy access to transportation. Best of all, the host is very friendly and helpful. He was very flexible about accommodating my arrival. He responded promptly to all communications. My extended stay at this accommodation was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

This is truly such a special experience. The host was absolutely wonderful — so friendly, helpful and kind. The space itself is beautiful and gives you look into what a more traditional accommodation is like. The cafe below is adorable and coffee + butter toast is great! I cannot say enough good things. I will be back!!! :)

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

We loved our stay in this Airbnb! So perfectly located in the center of all we wanted to see. Walkable distance to many things or cheap taxi ride. The wash room was so cute! We just loved the wallpaper and that it had a nice shower and bath. Every night I walked to the local onsen alone late at night and felt totally safe. Restaurants close by were delicious. I highly recommend the ramen shop on the same street. The sleeping mats were very comfortable and the home quite warm and shower as well. We really appreciated the guide books which we used to find the best spots for cherry blossoms. Thank you so much for easy instructions and a comfortable stay! We would love to return again.

Yukiko is such a wonderful host. My partner and I have had a great time in her beautiful townhome. It was peaceful and had everything that we needed. I highly recommend that someone who doesn’t want a typical hostel/hotel experience to come here!!!

This was a great location for our stay in Kyoto and we appreciated the machiya style apartment and quiet neighborhood. Koji provided great instructions and was responsive to our questions prior to arrival. Check in/out was easy and seamless. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

Though just stay for one night, Yuta’s place leave my mom and I great experience in Nara. It is easy to find following the instructions and Yuta is friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the hosting.

環境清幽，孩子們開心的從車站沿途玩雪，很快就到了。日式建築古色古香，空間大，能住到跟櫻桃小丸子家一樣榻榻米和暖桌房子，真幸福～迎賓清酒好喝，老闆娘還幫忙訂晚餐，前一晚也及時回覆JR是否停駛的訊息。有舒適的澡堂，桑拿房可以看到天空飄雪，有高山居民溫暖貼心的問候。這裡讓人念念不忘。

Séjour inoubliable dans ce logement. Le cadre est magnifique, et nous avons par ailleurs été extrêmement bien accueillis par une équipe aux petits soins. Sans aucun doute le point fort de notre séjour à Kyoto. Merci encore.

Hallo, es war super. Obwohl im Zimmer nebenan weitere Gäste waren, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Geteiltes Bad und WC waren für uns kein Problem. Der Kuchen zum Frühstück war sehr lecker. Dankeschön

I stayed here for 7 nights for and it was a very special white Christmas! Seongmi and Yoshi are really nice hosts, and made sure I was comfortable. It was so nice getting to know them and having breakfast every morning with other guests, who were also really nice. Seongmi cooked us all a delicious Korean pancake dinner and Yoshi served on Christmas. Amazing experience. The room and over all house was super cozy. I enjoyed reading and writing in the office room space. My room had shared a bathroom and shower, but no one ever used it the same time as I did so it was as if I had it to myself. It was perfect amount of privacy but also social getting to know other lovely guests there. They have connections with onsens nearby which I highly recommend. The hosts were also very helpful with arranging my heavy luggage to be delivered to my next location so I didn’t have to worry about it traveling to my next destination. It really felt like home and I will be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at Chieri’s home. It’s the ideal spot if you’re looking to escape the busy tourist zones and enjoy some peace and quiet. Cannot put into words how much we loved and appreciated our stay in Mikos villa. I proposed to my now Fiancè in the mesmerising cherry blossom and bamboo decorated garden. I had the pleasure of Miko recording it and I’m so glad that we were able to have such a kind, accomodating soul be apart of such a memorable part of our lives that we will cherish forever. Our eyes genuinely couldn’t believe this villa was real. Please do yourself a favour and stay at this villa, it was the best decision we made whilst on our trip to Japan!!
