Location, location, location! If not the best, then one of the best spots in Folly Beach. Only steps away via a private beach path to a broad flat stretch of sand beach where we watched the surfers each morning from our deck while sipping coffee, and only a quick 5-10 minute (4 block) walk to downtown where the bars, restaurants and shops are located. This beach bungalow has been recently updated, and has all the amenities expected in a high end beach rental. We especially enjoyed the French press coffee maker and the rainfall shower! However while my wife and I rated our stay as 5-star, it may not be the right place for everyone. This is a very "cozy" place. It has two small bedrooms mostly filled up with beds and one small bathroom. There are a couple of hanging clothes cabinet/nightstand combination units in the master bedroom, but no other closets in the entire house. Also comfy places to sit in the kitchen/great room are sparse for more than 2 maybe up to 4 people.

We enjoyed the house and it was larger than the pictures capture. we liked the openness of the kitchen, dining and living space. Great outdoor spaces as well. Quick walk to the beach and to a back dock overlooking the marsh. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. All was as advertised. Everything was clean and worked well. Definitely a great option!

We enjoyed our stay at the Crab Chateau on the Isle of Palms. The house was very comfortable and conveniently located. I appreciated Dustin's quick communication and the ease of making arrangements. Thank you.

We absolutely loved staying here! This was the perfect place to land while my daughter was undergoing medical treatment at MUSC for almost two weeks. It was so nice to come home to the beach after long days in the hospital and be able to take beach walks and spend time on the wonderful porch. The house is laid out well and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and a nice large bathroom were perfect for us, although we only used the spacious outdoor shower the whole time we were there. The screen porch was just so wonderful- loved the privacy from being perched high in the trees, and you can hear the ocean easily (which was a super quick two minute walk away). We spent most of our free time out there, eating, relaxing and reading. Local restaurants were great, especially Taco Boy and Jack of Cups. Bert’s Market was wonderful- we stopped in almost every day, and it was within easy walking distance, as were the restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed.

Alexandra was so kind to host us after we left our home in Asheville during Hurricane Helene. Thank you for helping us at the last minute and being so accommodating. There is nothing like a beach front stay to brighten your spirits. The location can’t be beat!

Value was great. Home was even nicer in person than in the pictures which was a welcome surprise! They really thought of everything to make you feel at home. Full dishes, pots and pans, AND kids dishes. Comfortable beds, amazing front/back porches, and a short walk to the beach. House was spotless upon check-in and communication was great - always proactive, and also quick to answer texts with quality information when we had questions about the area! Tons of beach stuff for the whole family was provided, books and toys for the little ones, as well. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and great service from AvantStay. Can't wait to get back down there!

So quiet and quaint beautifully placed within 50 feet of the seashore adorably renovated home!! Easy access with deck and stairs with handrail to the ocean and the soft sand with your own private stairs to sit on and enjoy your coffee in the beautiful stairs facing the sunrise every morning. Modern furnishings spotless tip to tell dishes, organized, silverware, and place, everything pristine clean like a brand new home. The hot tub is an amazing touch and perfectly positioned. The sunroom is perfect for those brisk days. Should you be here during the colder months. Very responsive and efficient, AC and heat. High tech up-to-date alarm system and cameras in a noninvasive location, knowing that everything is secure and safe. The host and hostess are easily accessible in the response times were very very quick for the simple question we had. Tons of beach chairs, downstairs to take on the ocean and a very quiet private part of the beach towards the end, which is lovely! Georg-Mir♥

This place is a perfect spot for a family get together. Cozy bedrooms, an inviting screened in porch and living room. The kitchen had everything needed to make a good meal and the general vintage beach house vibe was so comfortable! Not to mention a beautiful beach passage steps from the house! I look forward to returning with my family again some time! My goto stay if I return to Charleston or Mount Pleasant!!

The Surf Shack was a fantastic place for us, we were 4 adults and one toddler. The house was fully equipped and the pool was fantastic. If I ever find my way back to Folly Beach, hopefully we'll be able to stay again. Thank you.

The host and the house were absolutely amazing. The house is just like the pictures and the host was so great to respond to all of our questions and help us out when needed. 100% recommend.

The home was beautiful and furnished very well. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. Bed was very comfortable. The home was very clean. We appreciate that we were able to bring our dog and the front yard was very open and kept up. It was nice that the home had a garage under the house to secure our car as well. It was very quiet all around us the whole week. Would be happy to stay here again.

Corrie’s place is amazing and very unique! I highly recommend it and we would love to come back for another stay.

We had the best time at this house! It was a beautiful setting and great location. Jayne was extremely helpful when it came to recommendations and navigating Kiawah Island. Her house is fully stocked and very comfortable. We chose to heat the pool which was worth it. Some of the days were very miles in temp so we were happy to have a heated pool. The pool was awesome! Very big and my kids loved it. We hope to come back to Kiawah and would definitely stay at this house again!

Absolutely beautiful home in the heart of Edisto Beach! Easy access to the bike path, directly in front of the house. Short walk to the beach, approximately 5 minutes. The backyard is so dreamy with a pristine pool, oak trees and Spanish moss shading the area. We loved our visit and hope to return!

Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay has been. Absolutely idyllic in every way. Scott with Town and Island, our host, went above and beyond and was incredibly sensitive to our needs and generous. I cannot thank him enough!

Very comfortable and clean house with full amenities. Great outdoor areas. Pool was a bonus even though we didn’t use it (too cold in Feb). Close to beach. Lots of attention to details. Very happy with our stay, would definitely come back.

My family was in IOP for a wedding and stayed at Doug's place. It had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us and was very comfortable. The home itself was very clean. We enjoyed coffee every morning in the screened in porch and even had a few chances to walk to the beach. Doug was very responsive and accommodating. We would love to stay at Doug's home again.

Beautiful house with everything you need to make yourself at home. When you walk in the front door, it is very charming and inviting. It's a short, straight walk to a great beach. There is a 4 lane street to cross, but 95% of the time you can walk straight across without stopping. We had 8 adults staying in this lovely place and there was plenty of room and we shared a lot of great meals in the huge kitchen. If we are ever back in the area, this will be our "go to" house!

This was the perfect place for our girls weekend in IOP. Very convenient 5 minute walk from the beach and very close drive to Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. The space is even more beautiful in person with comfortable beds and linens as well. Lisa accommodated an early checkin and was responsive when asking about IOP conditions post Hurricane Debby! I definitely recommend staying here!

Our stay was "Presidential". We had a great Holiday weekend and Mike's place was the perfect spot. The direct access to the Beach was a highlight. We spent most of our time in downtown but next time will venture more into Folly downtime. The only thing I would advise is Uber access can be challenging during peak hours, plan early. We would strongly advise Mike's place for any event you have planned in Charleston.

This is an older beach home recently updated. The decor is beautiful , uncluttered , and immaculate in every way. We loved the screened porch ! We were in town for a birthday party for a friend, only stayed two nights . The owners were great communicating with us . Friendly and easy .Such a perfect place… you can see the ocean from the windows and the path to the beach only a short walk away. The only negative …and I hate to say anything ,bc this is such a great place, don’t let this deter you too much , but the house is on a very busy road in between the house and the beach . It can be loud with the trucks , and traffic .
