the place here is lovely, there are 2 bedrooms and a futon. if you sleep on the futon you may want to move it to the room with the two beds if you are a light sleeper, as the sounds of people walking and talking from the outside can bother you, as well as the wind moving the windows. Overall the facilities are complete, bathtub with self heating when needed and autofill, a kitchen, microwave and a bit fridge. The guide left on the table may be a bit misleading as the walking times to the places written there are actually way farther away especially if you walk slow, so you should use your own google maps if needed. The owner is responsive and helpful even though they are 2 hours away from the location. Overall a recommended place to stay, 10/10.

This house is located in a fantastic location, only a 6 min walk from the nearest station. Shiho, the host, was very accommodating. She greeted us as we arrived and gave a house tour. She also asked how we were going and made sure everyone was okay, something that is rarely done for Airbnb hosts. Everything in the house was clean and organised, the beds and futons were comfortable, and overall we had a great time staying at this place.

Outdoor bath was amazing after a long day or walking around. Temple down the street was beautiful at night. Had dinner down the street from the place at Hiroshi and the food was great. Cafe and Beer Studio Jibubya was tun for drinks. Lawson is walkable from the place.

We loved our stay in this Airbnb! So perfectly located in the center of all we wanted to see. Walkable distance to many things or cheap taxi ride. The wash room was so cute! We just loved the wallpaper and that it had a nice shower and bath. Every night I walked to the local onsen alone late at night and felt totally safe. Restaurants close by were delicious. I highly recommend the ramen shop on the same street. The sleeping mats were very comfortable and the home quite warm and shower as well. We really appreciated the guide books which we used to find the best spots for cherry blossoms. Thank you so much for easy instructions and a comfortable stay! We would love to return again.

it's great staying at 紅梅's place. Although it took a little time and effort to find the place at first and get in, it was worth staying close to Kyoto station. The house is spacious and has all amenities. The host is very nice and cordial. I recommend this place in Kyoto for a spacious stay in a traditional Japanese house.

I have been travelling around the world for over 3 months now and Misa is my favourite person I have met. She was the sweetest, so warm and friendly. Her and her husband were very hospitable. Miwa’s house was a delight, the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We had delicious food at coffee katana and Okuya too. Thank you so much Misa for making our trip to Japan extra special. Highly recommend staying here!

Amazing spot!! We stayed here for three nights and felt the location was awesome, very central to great restaurants and transportation! Would absolutely recommend!

Ich hatte einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Niho war bereits vor meiner Anreise super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat all meine Fragen schnell und detailliert beantwortet. Die Wohnung war genau wie beschrieben – klein, gemütlich und bestens ausgestattet. Alles war aufgeräumt und sauber. Besonders überrascht hat mich das Bett: Es sah zunächst nicht besonders gemütlich aus, war aber unglaublich bequem! Die Heizfunktion haben wir nicht benötigt, aber es war alles da, was man brauchte. Ein großer Pluspunkt ist die Nähe zum Bahnhof Shin-Osaka – von dort aus kommt man super schnell überall hin in Osaka und auch in andere Städte. Ich komme gerne wieder!

My friends and I loved staying here. It was such a beautiful home and we enjoyed experiencing a traditional house with the tatamis and futons. It’s close to a bunch of bus stops and train stations, as well as cafes and convenience stores. We appreciated how kind and responsive the host was; there wasn’t a question we had that couldn’t be addressed in the information booklet they gave us. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in. Amazing location and beautiful house. As a home base to explore Kyoto it's perfect. So relaxing to have your morning coffee watching Kyoto's famed Kamo river through your window right in front of the house. Major highlights of Kyoto all within walking distance and train and subways very close to go everywhere else. We walked down the stunning Pontocho and Gion district nearly every night of our 8 night stay. Nishiki Markets are only a 20 minute walk away and Kiyomizu and the incredible Sanjusangendo Temple is a 30 min walk away and Fushimi inari one train stop away too. Even walking along the river taking in locals and bird life was wonderful.

It was a great place to stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and it was less than 10 min from the station on foot. The house itseft was very old and cracky. But the decoration made it more confortable to live in. The beds were extremely comfy. It was one of the best beds I’ve slept on in Japan. I recommend this place to anyone that just wants to experience a real old Japanese house with a little over the top touch of decoration. But, if you have any mobility issues or are very overweight, the steep staircase and the cracky kitchen floor full of holes might cause problems.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. Perfect location. Lovely, quiet quiet neighborhood. Koji was a fantastic host with very helpful instructions for everything. Koji's place made our time in Kyoto very special. There are lots of local restaurants and izakayas easily within walking distance and the Family Mart right at the end of the street was really handy. Can very much recommend Dot Donuts for coffee and a sweet treat. Can't beat the location for numerous buses and a train station that was perfect for getting to Nara, Osaka and a quick ride to the Nishiki Market. If you're thinking of booking, don't hesitate, do it. 🙂

The place was very cool with unique decorations throughout. The rooms were large and we felt as if we were staying at a traditional home. The host was extremely helpful and responsive.

Don’t look anywhere else if you’re looking for a place to stay in this area. From a tourist’s perspective, this is the perfect stay. It’s traditional, spacious, and feature rich. I can’t put into words how beautiful Kohei’s home - and how mindful the design and instructions are. From the fresh drip coffee, to the washing machine! The tub is also magnificent to live out your private onsen experience.

環境清幽，孩子們開心的從車站沿途玩雪，很快就到了。日式建築古色古香，空間大，能住到跟櫻桃小丸子家一樣榻榻米和暖桌房子，真幸福～迎賓清酒好喝，老闆娘還幫忙訂晚餐，前一晚也及時回覆JR是否停駛的訊息。有舒適的澡堂，桑拿房可以看到天空飄雪，有高山居民溫暖貼心的問候。這裡讓人念念不忘。

Unforgettable experience. Taiji san and his mother were incredibly welcoming and kind. The 3000 yen course dinner was far beyond our imagination. It was crazy good! The huge private onsen, fluffy futons, delicious meals, fresh mountain air, and cute kitties made this Airbnb our favorite of all time. We wanted to cancel the rest of our travels to stay here longer! Taiji sans kindness, like waving us goodbye until our car disappeared, really warms up your heart.

Hallo, es war super. Obwohl im Zimmer nebenan weitere Gäste waren, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Geteiltes Bad und WC waren für uns kein Problem. Der Kuchen zum Frühstück war sehr lecker. Dankeschön

It’s a very cosy and unique house tucked in the midst of an interesting town. Everything from the beds and tatami to the fully self contained kitchen is perfect. And the stroll around the house in the morning was extremely therapeutic. Kerry is also easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend his place without doubt.

Highly recommend for a peaceful location. Host is very responsive and helpful.

Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.
