Outstandingly the best place we have ever stayed. The location and setting are out of this world and the property is immaculate, but more than that, the hosts are the best. Mio & Sho are welcoming and top level hosts, who allowed us to share this beautiful home with them as well as their stories. Great people.

We stayed at Heromi's place for 2 nights and it was awesome! She showed us around in the village and gave as lots of tips for hiking, restaurants and onsen. We were welcomed in a warm family and saw a part of rural Japan which we didn't see before. The breakfast was so delightfull. It is very usefull to have a car otherwise it is hard to tour around!

Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.

A pure sanctuary to relax and rejuvenate. The location is at the top of beautiful and quiet Koyodai. The combination of the warmth of Sachiyo’s and Justin’s hospitality and the impeccable design of their home and the meals unmatched in terms of quality of ingredients and flavor was perfection. I am grateful for the simple touches of care and creativity each day. I felt welcome and so happy. I look forward to seeing them again. My heartfelt thanks go out to them.

Increible experiencia en Kioto. Los anfitriones Kenji y Hana son super amables. La casa es enorme y ellos son super discretos por lo que hay mucha privacidad. Lo que mas destaco es la habitacion. No solo es hermosa y amplia, si no que tiene todo para ser super acogedora. La cama tatami tiene una alfombra que se calienta, las luces se pueden dimerizar para que sean mas tenues, la temperatura es super agradable. Les super recomiendo alojarse aqui!

We had a lovely stay at Yumi and Tadao. They are great hosts, their house is beautiful and welcoming. They helped us with information regarding traveling to Naoshima and restaurant recommendations and reservations. Thank you

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. The place was very homey and friendly! I loved how attentive the hosts were and how we had a very lovely lunch and breakfast with everyone staying at the place. Wonderful spot and incredible experience right after an amazing walk through the Kumano Kodo. Really loved this place!

I had such an incredible stay at Chiyako’s home - she was so helpful, picking me up and dropping me off at the train station, cooking dinner on the night of my arrival. It was extremely beautiful to wake up with a view of the mountains and countryside and she always provided an incredible breakfast, including tea, local yogurt with fruit and a main dish. The space was really comfortable and I had everything I needed for a lovely stay :) I was there for five days, four nights in early March - it was a little chilly, but very peaceful and serene, so I loved it. I mainly stayed around the town, going to the onsen, yakitori restaurant, dessert cafe, etc and everyone was incredibly kind and patient even though I don’t speak Japanese. It was also recommended to go to Hasedera Buddhist Temple which was a short bus ride and one train stop away. I highly recommend- it was really special. I will definitely be back in the summer or early fall :)

반려견을 데리고 1개월동안 외국으로 여행가보는 건 처음인데다 출발 하기 전 과정도 순탄치 않았기때문에 강아지와 둘이 잘 다닐 수 있을까 걱정을 많이 했었는데, 그런 걱정이 무색하게도 유키에&케빈씨가 이것저것 많이 챙겨주셔서 여행 내내 정말로 즐거웠습니다😊 숙소를 일반적인 맨션이나 호텔로 잡았다면 없었을 추억도 많이 생겨서 너무나 감사하게 생각하고 있습니다! 공항까지, 역까지 여행내내 차로 픽업해주시고 매일 맛있는 식사도 챙겨주셔서 너무 감사했어요 마을의 모두도 친절하고 상냥하셔서 강아지와 함께 일본의 시골을 잔뜩 만끽하고 왔고 사람 많고 번잡한 관광보다 자연과 함께하는 조용하고 여유로운 여행을 더 선호하는 편이라 더더 좋았어요☺️ 새로운 키즈나 하우스도 기대하고 있으니 집의 수리가 끝나게 되면 꼭 초대해주세요💓 두분 다 건강 잘 챙기시고 다시 만나게 되는 날까지 즐거운 일만 가득하시길 바라겠습니다🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ 코스모쨩, 히나쨩도 건강하게 잘 지내!!

The Sano family perfectly embodies what "home away from home" truly means. My stay was a heartwarming, comfortable, and unique addition to my trip to Japan! Great communication before my arrival. It rained a lot during my visit, but despite the weather, Sano-san kindly picked me up and dropped me off at the station to keep me from getting soaked. I was lucky enough to enjoy two home-cooked meals at their house, they are delicious! The nearby hot spring was perfect for unwinding at the end of my trip. Sano-san was kind to ask about my plans for my last day and ended up taking me to gem shops in and around Kaizuka city to help me find the items I had wanted but hadn’t had a chance to buy. One night at the Sano family's home was simply too short—I truly wish I had more time to enjoy their hospitality and explore the area further. I can't wait to return someday to see their adorable poodle, Vamos, who will likely have grown into an even bigger boy by then. 100% recommended!

とても親しみやすいオーナーさんで、説明もとても丁寧でした。 地元のお勧めの飲食店、銭湯(天然温泉）の情報も正確で良かったです。 また、子供用のおもちゃも部屋においてあり、細やかな気配りが、お部屋の至る所にありました。 朝食のサンドイッチは、どれも美味しいですが、カレー味がお勧め(笑)

I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!
