Our stay at Applegate Cottage was fantastic. From checking in to checking out, our stay could not have been better in any way. I cannot add anything to all the other wonderful reviews except to say they are all right on. I have never stayed at an AirB&B so well equipped with anything one could possibly need to make one’s stay more enjoyable and comfortable. Loved the dogs . We will definitely be back to enjoy the cottage, the farm, the dogs, Nancy, and Mendocino.

Anne was a great host and her place was very clean, The only big problem we had was that we didn't get in until late at night and it was dark and raining. We went to the wrong house because it the house right after the main address. It looked kind of like the outside of the house in the picture in the dark and rain. My advice to others is come during the daylight It was such a nice place to stay.

We had a great time staying here. It was very peaceful and comfortable! No noise from neighbors or the street made for easy sleep. The kitchen was very well equipped too. I especially enjoyed the short walks to Main Street and restaurants. The host was communicative and wonderful at every opportunity so we felt completely welcome and relaxed.

I am someone who likes to take vacations in remote areas in the woods, and have been to 10-15 different AirBnBs to do so. Carolyn's is by far the coolest and coziest I have been to. I loved the setup, with a nice living room with fireplace as well as a spacious loft with extra beds and a couch to curl up on. It simultaneously felt like there was plenty of space and that it was cozy and intimate. The surrounding area is also great with beautiful beaches and a cute local town. 10/10!

The hosts were very thoughtful, they had the house ready with the essential stuff for the bathroom, cooking and also bagels ,cream cheese and milk The place was very clean, small but manageable,the surprise element was wifi the ad said no wifi but they had wifi Wish they had a tv in the bottom room with cable , but it was not a big deal The place was located near the ocean with wonderful views Will definitely choose this place again Very good hosts

Everything went very smoothly!! Eva was responsive and helpful. The cottage is adorable and cozy. Hot tub with the amazing view was a bonus !! Would definitely stay again and recommend highly!!

Nika's place, the Artist Studio was well equipped, clean and warm as outside temps dipped into the lower 30's. Great outside shower accessible from the inside bathroom, so it didn't fell like going outside at all. We had a great time. We were three which worked out well.

Everything from the turn off Hwy 1, up the road and to the cabin, was a winner from the start. Our host, Velina, was there to greet us & assured us to contact her for any concerns or needs. The accommodations are extremely comfortable and with the sun hitting the front, it stays warm with the passive solar. Lighting is good, the bed is comfortable and warm & the kitchen area with supplied utensils, pots & pans, etc were plentiful. More than enough to make any meal you'd like. For those that want to relax watching a movie, the TV is large with access to many of your favorite streams. It was very easy to feel at home in this large & spacious cabin and I know that we'll be back. Thank you, Velina , for a most wonderful New Years weekend. I highly recommend this charming and relaxing cabin.

My husband and I stayed two nights in this cozy, cute cottage in the woods, 2 minutes from the coast in Caspar. The cottage was well appointed, clean and had a very nice ambiance with everything we needed. There was a fireplace, steam shower, the best coffee, big closet, picnic table right outside nestled in the redwoods, view of the forest and a beautiful, private trail right outside the door that rambled through the ferns, redwoods, a creek and down around to the open pasture. Our hosts were readily available to advise on excellent restaurants, sites and special hiking trails nearby. We will definitely be back!

this was the perfect peaceful weekend getaway! not only was the house equipped with everything for any kind of home made meal, it was very clean and modern in a beautiful location! you cannot beat the view. bruce was extremely helpful and kind! highly recommend booking this hidden gem!!

This Airbnb was adorable and even more cozy and comfortable than the pictures! It was great being a few minutes from Mendocino and close to Fort Bragg. My friend and I wanted to be more in nature and not in a hotel and this spot was perfect! 5/5 stars… would stay here again!

What a great Airbnb. My family loved it. The bathroom with heated floors was a big hit for my family. The kids connected to the Bluetooth speakers and jammed out. Getting them to take a shower has never been easier. The location was great, only 0.5mi away from Library Park where we launched for a major bass fishing tournament. Was walking distance to several stores and restaurants. Parking right in front was super easy and safe (with a camera facing our car). Overall we enjoyed it and would definitely book this Airbnb again.

Hosts were very communicative and helpful navigating the area. The place was charming and comfortable. Close to a lot of great restaurants and hikes.

This was my second trip to Jon’s Lakeview Cottage. It was just as tidy and appealing as last time, plus he might have added a few more amenities. The kitchen was more fully stocked with supplies than I remembered, and there were oodles of towels available for our 2-night stay. The coffee maker offered two choices - brew a pot of coffee using the carafe setting or brew a single cup using the pods he provided. I brought my own ground coffee so that worked really well the first day, then used the pods to make single cups for day 2. The bedroom was restful with especially thick pillows. The heater worked well for those cooler spring nights. The shower head was good and a selection of shampoo was available. My husband and I were spending the days setting up a scheduled event so we didn’t have much time to admire the view. However, when arriving after dark - we were thrilled to see a full moon rising over the lake!

This retreat is everything it seems and more. Brinda is kind, helpful, and responsive. The space is very close to the main road (convenient), but still set back enough that we felt peaceful. It's quiet, surrounded by nature, and serene. The beds and linens were clean, comfortable, and cozy. it can get cold in FB in April, but Brinda provided heaters and we were never uncomfortable. The kitchen had more than we needed, and the art supplies were just such a cool touch. Can't wait to rent from Brinda again!

Stayed at Stephanie and Pat's place for a long weekend and absolutely LOVED it. Very cozy studio on a great little property, with friendly animals and an amazing sauna. Short drive into town for coffee and groceries, and great place to stay to go over to Montgomery Reserve to see the redwoods/ access Lake Mendocino. Stephanie and Pat were super responsive and overall phenomenal hosts. Perfect place to escape for a few days and would happily come back here!

Beautiful little nook on clear lake, this is a lake county hidden gem for sure! The place was super clean, freshly remodeled, and feels like a brand new house. The host was extremely accommodating to specific requests and responded to all my messages. Also the property has a covered car port to keep my kayak and car out of the rain, the heater in the bathroom for the winter months is a nice touch and a laundry machine in the unit is a life saver after traveling for a couple days. Highly recommended for someone looking to stay and be close to the lake.

Mary was a wonderful host - greeted us with flowers and firewood when we arrived and invited our kids to come pick pears and strawberries with her (which were delicious) but also respected our space and privacy. There was a box of toys when we arrived and the fold-out sofa was all set up for the little ones. The house has a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and really nice-smelling soaps. The property overlooks the ocean and you can whale watch ten feet from the cabin's front door. (There are also redwoods and we saw two deer on the property, along with chickens and an extremely chill cat.) If you haven't been to the Mendocino coast you're in for a real treat - just mile after mile of gorgeous hikes and beaches, with cute towns in either direction. Highly recommended.

This zen getaway was super relaxing and beautiful. It looks just like the photos and is incredible: peaceful, secure, close to sand dunes, and very relaxing. Lindsay is very helpful and thoughtful. The architectural and design details throughout the interior and exterior spaces are beautiful and consistent. Something to aspire to.

Brinda is an excellent host! From the moment I booked our stay she was responsive to questions and had great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. She was proactive in fixing the water issue in the shower before we arrived so the initial warning about slow heating of the water was not needed. There were little details like bottles of water, coffees, teas, extra toothbrushes, shampoos and shower gel that made this place stand out compared to some other places we have stayed. There was a good selection of books and art supplies and a nice table for dining or crafting. The beds and sofa and armchair were all comfortable, just enough for all three of us to be comfortable but cozy so we were not yelling at each other across large spaces. We did not get a chance to use the fire pit or chairs outdoors but they looked great for when the weather gets a little warmer. Communication during our stay was excellent through the app, Brinda answered quickly. Very quiet but close to Hwy 1.
