ロケーションが最高でした！ 大学の卒業旅行で利用させて頂きました。部屋も程よく広く、10人で利用しても何不自由なく、快適に過ごせました。特に気に入ったのはサウナで、みんな大満足です。 次はもっと長い期間で利用出来たらいいなと思いました！

Onigiri was a kind and generous host who went out of his way to help us. I lost my JR pass and he did everything he could to help me get it back. The house was incredibly charming—we were especially enchanted by the Ghibli Totoro figures hidden throughout the garden, which added a magical touch. We loved the home’s location: just a short walk to the lake and conveniently close to the rail station, making it easy to get anywhere we wanted. The architecture of the house had a traditional charm that gave us a true sense of place and added to the overall experience. We were especially grateful for the food available for purchase in the refrigerator, which was a lifesaver since we arrived so late. The walk to the lake was peaceful and gave us a chance to explore a quiet Japanese neighborhood, which was a memorable part of our stay. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a warm welcome, great location, and a touch of enchantment!

犬と一緒に利用させていただきました。 外は雪が降ってかなり寒かったですが、室内はとても暖かくて快適でした。 近くに色々お店やコンビニもあるし駐車場も敷地内で、かなり便利です。 また機会があったら利用させていただきたいです。

Yukiko es muy atenta y agradable, su casa es hermosa, la habitación es espaciosa, tiene todas las amenidades que podrías necesitar y se encuentra en una zona tranquila, muy cerca de la estación.

Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

Such an enjoyable stay. The place was so comfortable and just a really nice home. Masakazu is such a nice host and made us feel so welcome and at ease. The place was spotless clean and even nicer than the photos. The location is perfect, just a short walk to shops and the train station. Also easy and quick to get into Kyoto on the train from Katata station. Definitely would recommend. If you will be heading into central Kyoto then just make sure to budget ¥900 for a round trip ticket on the train. But absolutely worth it!

Our host was excellent. Proactive communication, friendly and helpful. I failed my responsibility of checking out to standard, but the host was still very gracious. This was a great place to stay.

What a beautiful place. So nice being out of the city while still being close enough to do everything. The sunrise over the lake is amazing.

A very warm and comforting stay.The area is beautiful and so is the cozy air bnb room right under a cute cafe. I would however recommend you rent a car if you’re unable to walk 17min to bus stop.
