Lovely stay in a beautiful area. The staff were all very helpful, including pick up and drop off to bus terminal. We had everything we needed and buses to the slopes were walking distance, although car hire would be even more convenient, especially if travelling with kids. Overall would recommend to any families or small groups travelling to Hakuba.

Schönes großes Haus mit günstiger Lage am Stadtrand von Yamanochi. Die Ausstattung ist top und es ist sehr geräumig und gemütlich. Man hat einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Berge und ist mit dem Auto in ca 20 Minuten in der Shiga-Hochebene und in unter 5 Minuten am Parkplatz zu dem Affen-Onsen. Einziger Nachteil ist die Lage direkt an einer lauten Hauptstraße. Nachts ist zwar wenig Verkehr, oropax aber dennoch empfehlenswert…

Better than in Photos !! If you are looking for accommodation near Hakuba, I recommend this place. This private house is decorated inside in Japanese style. It is very convenient if you drive. In the front, you can park 2 Alphards comfortably. Behind the house, there is an area to play in snow or make the shaved ice. The interior is very luxurious, extremely clean, excellent bedding mattresses, well-equipped kitchen, automatic toilet and much more. The host is so kind and care. You can ask for trip advice or anything. There are many konbini and supermarkets within 1 km radius. Very close to Hakuba. Strongly recommended !! I surely you could not find a house cheaper with these options. Definitely 5 stars

Spacious house perfect for families! The abundant game selection delighted our kids, and the well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze. The heating system was a lifesaver during chilly nights, and the convenient parking made accessing the property easy. We encountered a small towel shortage, but the host quickly helped us resolve this. My only suggestion would be to add more English translations and instructions for non-Japanese travelers visiting Lida for the first time. Despite this minor point, our stay was excellent. The house offers great comfort and amenities, making it ideal for families or groups. We appreciated the thoughtful details and would definitely recommend this Airbnb. We're already looking forward to returning on our next trip to the area!

Six friends from Australia, were fortunate to stay at Rumi and Roberto wonderful B & B in the mountain slopes of Bessho onsen in the district of Ueda. 4 days of exploring the area, recommended eateries, onsons, galleries gave us an insight into a unique Japanese lifestyle. Friendly people made us feel welcome and we soon overcame the language differences by a mixture of hand signs and attempts at basic Japanese. The hospitality of Rumi and her recommended places to eat was outstanding. This has been a great start to journey in Japan. It has set the tone for the coming weeks. Thank you Rumi and Roberto.

A mi chemin d'une belle marche dans l'histoire a Magome et d'agreable bain a Gero Onsen, notre halte d'une nuit a Hiyou ete excellente. Une experience en maison japonaise ou notre ami japonais a pu exercer ses talents de cuisinier en nous proposant un kare traditionnel (curry japonais) avec les ingredients acheter au supermarche du coin. Le karaoke derriere la maison nous a permis d'avoir 2 heures de fun. Merci a nos hotes pour leur bienveillance et accueil.

The house was beautifully spacious, clean and toasty warm! Super close to the train station/ bus shuttles and supermarket. The house itself had everything you need! Pete was extremely great at communicating and helping us with the best local places to eat and organising transport. If I come back to Hakuba I’ll definitely be booking this place! 10/10

Exatamente conforme as fotos, local super limpo e aconchegante. Já aluguei várias vezes por aqui e nunca estive em um imóvel tão equipado com coisas p/ cozinha, mantimentos e outros como aqui. Muito obrigado por nos atender tão bem.

Highly recommend this place. It's a great location, lovely setting in the woods, we were there in winter and with the snow its incredibly beautiful and also walkable to the gondala or chair lift. This Airbnb is a seperate apartment attached to the Mojo lodge, so you get all that's listed, 2 bedrooms + living room/kitchen/bathroom etc etc but also in Winter season you can use the communal area of the lodge as well which is great, plus you get an excellent cooked breakfast and a morning lift to the gondala. Plus all the staff at the lodge are super friendly and very approachable for advise on the area whether that's where to eat or the best onsen or other local knowledge. We really felt welcomed and at home for the whole week we were here and we'd definitely stay again.

Comfortable stay located near Hakuba Happo One and Hakuba Goryu & 47. Property has plenty of amenities.

Whilst the snow wasn’t what we hoped so late in the season we loved our time in Nozawa. Gab and his lovely family and staff made us so welcome as well as helping with all our questions and recommendations for ski hire and tours and the best of all, sending our excess baggage back to the airport allowing us to continue on our travels without our ski gear! The apartment was spacious and easily coped with 8 of us, perfect for larger groups. The apartment is located a 10 minute walk from main centre of town. We will be back!

Muu San is great host. Friendly, approachable, yet she would respect your privacy. She let you alone if you prefer to be left alone. The building is not new, built in Shouwa era I believe yet it’s well kept and well cleaned. Location is good. You can walk from Matsumoto station and you can walk to Matsumoto castle.

We had a great stay here. Truly beautiful spot in the mountains surrounded by lush forest. Would recommend!

I could not recommend Villa Monochrome enough! Yasue was so helpful the whole time of our stay, she picked us up and dropped us off at the bus terminal for arrival and departure and even drove us to get groceries. She was helpful during our stay and really made us feel at home. The accommodation was beautiful and well equipped and the location is fantastic for snowsports at Happo One. Will definitely be staying again! Special mention for the Kotatsu (heated) table. That was such a lovely treat after a day on the mountain. 10/10 for Villa Monochrome.
