Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

Nicola went above and beyond for me and my friends for my 40th birthday. The house has so much character and so much to do. The tennis court and swimming pool were an added bonus on top of everything else. The house had everything we needed. Great place for everyone to enjoy.

We absolutely loved the house, and our stay couldn’t have been better. It’s a spacious home with everything you could wish for. After a long day, it was a real treat to relax in the hot spa, and the boys especially enjoyed the sauna. John’s communication and the information he provided about the house and Taupo were wonderful. We would highly recommend booking this house for a fantastic experience, just as we had.

Such a stunning home! My dog and I stayed 2 nights, we were greeted with plenty of yummy treats for both of us! The home itself is absolutely amazing, cozy and tidy, with all the amenities you need and more. The location is great with plenty of parks if you’re also bringing a furry friend, on a quiet street and close to the motorway if you’re exploring Auckland. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend to others.

A taste of Tuscany in Newstead is all we can say!! Great indoor outdoor flow with all the amenities to keep people active and engaged. The tennis court provided entertainment and controversy while the spa and pool provided relaxation and ambiance. The complementary bubbles received on arrival was well needed after a long trip with a talkative passenger. Great entertainment facilities and loved the touch of country surroundings, would stay again.

A home away from home! Very clean, great quiet spot with more than everything you need!

What a beautiful spot! Stunning location, peaceful and private. Photos don’t do it justice. The air bnb is well thought out, the kitchen has everything you need to cook. There’s plenty of space so you don’t feel like you’re all on top of each other. It’s not far from Matakana village and local attractions and the little beach down the road is a great swimming beach. Would definitely book again, even in Winter as I’d be happy cosying up in-front of the fire with those views!

Ryan and Gina’s place was perfect for our two families to come together. They were great at responding to questions and queries. Highly recommend this place!

We absolutely loved staying at Vanessa’s place. We spent the last nights of our NZ trip there and were able to host my family for dinner. This is such a beautiful space and would definitely stay again next time we are in Auckland.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Jane’s place! The house is lovely, with a beautiful green setting and a fantastic garden where we enjoyed relaxing. The bed and couch were both large and very comfortable, making our stay extra enjoyable. Andrew and Jane were friendly and communicative hosts. The location was peaceful, and we loved listening to the birds in the garden. Overall, a great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Shelley’s place the house was exactly as described but even better inside than we expected. We loved having fresh eggs and bread on arrival along with fruit and lots of other goodies. Shelley was so helpful and kind our entire stay and always in touch immediately when we need to ask something. The location is only a 20 min walk into town along the beach or over the the hill depending on the tides. It’s a great place to stay to explore the Bay of Islands!

Although we didn’t meet our hosts our stay really lovely. Easy access, very clean and charming surroundings. Loved the extra treats upon our arrival and your breakfast basket. Will definitely recommend to others and stay again if available. Loved visiting our ‘old haunts’ of West Auckland from 25 years ago. Thank you so much.

We had a terrific stay at Shelley's apartment. We appreciated being a little out of town in a quiet area with great views. Th location is still within easy reach by car from anything that you would want to do around Rotorua but with more privacy and calm than a city accomodation. The apartment is great - all the furnishings and facilities are high quality. The two bedrooms are not large but roomy enough for two and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and there is a well appointed kitchen area - we had most of our meals in the apartment. Just like eating at home. Shelly is a great host - very friendly and responsive with communications. A very helpful person.

Mathew's place is truly special — from the fun 4x4 ride through a deer park to the cabin, to the stunning views, total privacy and the covered barbecue area. Just know that it’s quite off the grid, which adds to the charm but also means it’s a bit rustic — the space wasn’t spotless (some dead insects in the outdoor shower, beddings didn’t feel fresh), but it felt understandable given the remote location. The ride with Mathew was super fun (we stood on the back and held the rails!) but it was raining, so we arrived completely wet — not a problem as we had jackets but might not suit everyone. When we arrived it was foggy, so we didn’t see the view until the second evening — but when it cleared, it was absolutely worth it. We recommend coming once and staying put — we walked 45 minutes back to our car as we had some program in between, but it's a nice walk. All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for something different who doesn't mind a bit of adventure.

Wonderful, peaceful location with lovely amenities! The eco-toilet was cool (no issues or smell, and a really intriguing way to be “off grid”), the outdoor tubs were fun to soak in and stargaze, the bed was comfy, and the farm animals were so sweet. Corrine was so kind and accommodating, super helpful with local recommendations and very sweetly helped us solve some luggage issues we had. We would absolutely recommend this spot for a quiet, private place away from the hustle of “Rotovegas” but also close enough to many local hotspots and services.

Rose was an amazing host, topped only by the wonderfully unique experience offered by her seaside cabin! It was a true escape from the mundane, requiring a short drive on unpaved paddocks to access, adding to its charm and authenticity. (When returning after dark, watch up for furry and featherly neighbours!) You are then greeted with a self contained tiny home nestled between Rose's well groomed farm and the untamed ocean. This is a truly secluded retreat with beautiful sunrises over the pacific, dancing birds, meditating goats and endlesdly soothing sounds of crashing waves. The cabin is well equipped with a mini kitchenette (no microwave), heating, luxurious bathroom and cosy bedroom with a beautiful view of the ocean, and external utilities including a fire pit, BBQ and even a canoe (we did not brave it). Rose was an amazing host, greeting us on arrival and teaching us how to access the cabin. Her Sunday only cafe, the Farmshop, is also highly recommended, especially the pizza!

We wanted a pretty, peaceful and relaxing place to stay and this was perfect. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable bed, deliciously relaxing hot tub….. everything you could need was catered for. Waking up to magpies warbling , cattle mooing , and the stream babbling in the background was delightful. The off grid electrics and fire heated hot tub were all easy to operate. Thank you Vivian, Barry and family for a wonderful stay at your beautiful piece of paradise ! We would love to visit again and have recommended you to our friends and family .

My mum and I had a wonderful stay in Haruru. Delphine, Guillaume and their daughter Toscane welcomed us very warmly. The cabin is very cute, spotless clean and perfect for 2. Great kitchen and bathroom with everything you might need. Delphine has plenty of recommendations of what's not to miss in the area. We had a lovely time with them and highly recommend this place.

The view is even better than the photos - could sit there all day and watch the clouds go by. Bath is great, kitchen is great. The place had all the little extras that make is place super comfortable and make you feel thought of: Fluffy robes - fruit, eggs, milk and cereal for the morning if you don't want to go anywhere (also some chocolate left out for our arrival). We used the pizza oven too which was well setup with all the gear you need including wood and kindling ready to go. Lots of thoughtful lights in key places too so you don't trip over anything. Would stay again!
