Close to Gettysburg but nicely removed in the countryside. It is a horse farm with plenty of woods and open fields. Rental property is a separate house on a little knoll overlooking a pond. So many birds and nature sounds! Really get to see a beautiful part of Pennsylvania away from the crowds of Gettysburg. All local roads are paved nicely and there are plenty of curves, perfect for motorcycles or sports cars. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Kathryn and her girls met us shortly after arrival . Also got to meet the dogs and cats. Very patient with us. Beautiful home and surroundings. Will definitely go back

Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed staying here for a weekend. The place was easy to find, safe and cozy. Amenities such as coffee, bottled water and fresh clean linens were much appreciated. The bathroom was clean and modern. Plenty of space for 1-2 people to enjoy a stay. I will stay there again when in the area.

I’d give the Carriage House 10 stars if I could! Lori was so welcoming and friendly, great start to our stay. The photos pretty much tell the story, but the apartment is even more beautiful in person. Everything you could want or need and more is there; the kitchen was fully supplied, better than most I’ve seen. Comfy bed; plenty of places to hang out between the sofa and table, and outside as well. The decor was wonderful, colors and fabrics well chosen for the rustic elegance vibe. The artwork was really impressive, it was different from what’s in the photos so maybe the pieces are rotated in and out, but a wonderful modern counterpoint to a more traditional vernacular style of architecture. Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful and private setting, so wonderfully quiet, and the big floof dogs were a delight, so friendly! Will be sure to visit the alpacas next trip! One of our best travel experiences ever, so glad we discovered this gem.

My husband and I take a yearly trip to Lancaster for our anniversary. We were looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing where we could unplug from everyday life. This was the perfect spot. The house was adorable, very clean and comfortable. I’m nearly 5 months pregnant and had the best night of sleep I’ve gotten since getting pregnant. Juana was extremely responsive and very helpful. I needed milk and it was too late to go anywhere so she brought some right over. She left some fresh sourdough cookies and various local goodies that I absolutely inhaled. We will be making this our regular spot when we are in the area. BONUS-the sweet orange barn cat who loved scratches and attention distracted me from missing my fur babies at home.

This place was perfect for a short overnight getaway for my husband and I. Kelly is a great host and everything was clean and comfortable! We would definitely return.

Amanda's place was extremely comfortable, very clean and well appointed. check-in was a breeze. It is in one of the nicest neighborhoods in which we have stayed with AirBnB. It is a convenient walk to many restaurants, coffee shops, parks and other amenities.

We absolutely adored our stay. We were greeted when we arrived, given plenty of recommendations, and overall it was an amazing experience. The property was beautiful and it was exactly what we had hoped for.

Heather is the perfect host. . . everything that you could ever imagine needing, she has already thought of and has it there ready for you. . . I was very nervous about my trip and Heather was patient and kind throughout all of my planning. I even ended up having an emergency and Heather was just a phone call away! I could not imagine having a better experience with a host. We did have issues each time coming back following GPS, but if we had followed the directions Heather had kindly provided I am sure we wouldn't have had.

Great place to stay in a quiet and safe neighborhood! Our kids enjoyed the backyard with the hot tub and sitting area. Was enough space to spread out and relax. Great neighborhood close to many things.

I have already booked another week. This is a beautiful and peaceful hideaway, yet close enough to dining and shopping. Just as seen in the photos it has a fully functional kitchen including a washer/dryer combo. I didn’t mind the ladder to the ned loft and Im well past 50. The sound of the brook just outside the door, really helped to melt the stress of a busy day. Thank you Ann!

An absolutely amazing Airbnb! By far, one of our favorites that we’ve ever stayed in ! They had everything and anything you could think of. The surroundings were absolutely stunning. Our host’s were so responsive to any of our questions! Can’t wait to come back in the summer ! Thank you for making my birthday trip so memorable !

Great weekend getaway for my long distance bestie and I! Only feedback is it being off of a main road (we are not from PA and just did not look into this beforehand). It was a great little spot close to alot of things and had everything we needed.

I grew up in Lititz. Loved Matt & Kim’s cottage. Location was very nice. Everything was great and we’ll be back. The only thing worth mentioning is the spiral staircase could be tough for some, although it was fine and felt secure. The bed was a double, I think. It was comfortable and linens were nice. The shower was hot, and I appreciated the nice products. The cottage was warm and cozy with beautiful outdoor spaces and view, and it smelled so good. Kim left waters, coffee and tea and a beautiful handwritten note. Thank you for accommodating our early check-in and early check-out. Everything was lovely. We’ll be back!

Cara and Gene were very kind and helpful when we needed to adjust our reservation dates due to a winter storm. They were also very patient helping us to navigate airbnb. The location of their house is absolutely perfect. Although it is on a main road, it was set back and quiet. It felt very private. It is such easy access to Pgh and also our family in the north. We walked to the local bakery daily, only 2 blocks away. This rental made our visiting family into a fun city vacation as well. Inside, the home is perfectly spacious for our family of 4. The essentials are provided but there is a minimalist quality which allowed us to relax with all our own travel stuff. The beds are very comfortable and everything was clean. You can't beat the location, price, and comfort. We hope to be welcomed back for future trips!

Anne and Mark's cottage is a very special place. We were impressed with the creative repurposing of an old building, it demonstrates a clever use of space and offers a relaxing and cosy interior design. The location has the best of both worlds, you feel like you are miles away from the madness of humanity but you can get to restaurants and shops in a few minutes. Close by is Giant, a fantastic supermarket for ingredients to cook your own meals or find anything you're missing. The cottage is very close to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Mount Cuba gardens. Anne and Mark are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. This is a real treasure in the Brandywine Valley.

I asked about the cookies lol because people were raving about them and she made sure we had them! We had them when we left and they were so good!!!!! I would definitely recommend this Airbnb. also! I had to ask for toilet tissue and she was quickly responsive! And with everything!!!! Definitely a beautiful area. Thank you so much Anna!!!!!!! Such a peaceful welcoming and stay!!!

Lovely location and thoughtful touches. So quiet. Really enjoyed my stay.

We loved our stay with the Stoltzfus family. The apartment is beautifully furnished and feels very new, and just what our family needed. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming, let our kids meet Sonny their horse and we even played tee ball with their grandkids. Felt right at home! Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to be back!

This property is exactly as described, the hosts are friendly and responsive and very accommodating. I honestly cant wait to go back during the summer and early fall - to utilize the back patio it looks like itnwould be an amazing place to just hang out with a glass of wine and the sounds of nature. I saw the cute friendly dog everyone talks about only twice during my week stay but he is just as described by others. I arrived during a snow storm and it was a bit of a challenge to make it up the hill - but made do - it was all part of the adventure. And finally- 😂 im pretty sure Bigfoot came to say hi in the middle of the night 2 of the nights because the back porch motion light would come on between 2 and 3am i looked but never saw anything - Pennsylvania has Bigfoot right ? if not it was probably a raccoon.. i never went outside to look. 😂

Fantastic location - quiet but close to great restaurants and shopping. Very walkable, but easy parking right outside the door. Beautiful restoration of a historic building.
