This is our 3rd time staying at Joseph & Kelly’s place! It is always a pleasure! They make you feel right at home and are willing to help with any need! We love this place and plan to return very soon!

This location was a serene escape. We were surrounded by nature and great views. My mother and I quickly found ourselves relaxed in the space itself. Darrell was an excellent host who puts a lot of work into the detail and maintenance of the property. Truly a a getaway experience and would definitely come back. Worth seeing in person!

This was perfect for our group of four and we felt very safe and snug! Tom was friendly and we would definitely return! The hot tub was a nice treat after lots of walking around town, nature preserve, beach, boardwalk, etc.

What a special, SPECIAL place. I was so sad to leave and STILL wish I was there right now. The perfect little escape, was pretty much a wellness retreat. We got to reset and relax before the start of the new year in this storybook home surrounded by Mother Nature. Doing yoga under the trees, seeing all the hummingbirds and butterflies come to visit, enjoying the cowboy hot tub under the stars, sweating it out in the infrared sauna, and getting cozy inside the most charming home was exactly what we needed after a long year of work and travel. This is such a sweet and special place and we can't wait to return one day!! Amazing location. You can have all the privacy, peace and quiet you want, or you can go into "town" and grab a bite or get to the store if needed. Convenient, yet private - the winning combination when it comes to location. All of the stars go to the host - Lynne is a total sweetheart. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. We can't thank her enough!

We stayed here while our house was being remediated from the Eaton Canyon fire smoke, soot and ash. We needed a place we could not only take our dog but also an enclosed area. The property has a huge fenced in yard and our dog went crazy running around. Connie also has a dog and was great with ours. Since we live in Pasadena, we knew the restaurant scene and the town. We found out that it was going to take longer to finish and we had to extend our stay by a few days. That was not a problem and we worked it out. We talked with Connie a few times outside with our dogs and she was friendly. While there is only a kitchenette, it is no more than 10 minutes from dozens of restaurants in Old Town Pasadena (for out of town guests). One could actually walk there.

The cottage style room was very beautiful. Checking in was easy as possible with no problems at all. Everything was as is and amazing. Seeing the beautiful garden through the windows every morning was a treat! I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful cottage and gardens, wonderful neighborhood, walkable. Connie was so helpful and welcoming! Perfect place to stay for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl.

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay. Everything was as described, and we felt completely at home. The location is perfect - quiet and safe. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and checking out all of the beautiful houses. The bungalow was very well-equipped with everything we needed. My only issue (which was only mine) was that cabinets were really high up for me (I’m only 5’0), but wasn’t an issue for my much taller daughter. The patio was also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather we had. We will definitely stay here again when we’re visiting So. Cal.

I adore everything about this property. I’m an LA local and have been coming here for nearly 10 years- sometimes solo for quiet thinking and reflection time, sometimes with a good friend to celebrate their birthday or to enjoy the incredible frog songs. Generally “my spot” is The Creative Suite. This time I brought my 6 year old son and his Dad to celebrate our 9 year anniversary and show our kid the magic of Topanga Canyon. We stayed in the cozy Wonderland Cottage. It had a Queen bed and a fold out floor bed in the upper loft area, we played board games in the cute kitchen and cuddled in the living room reading & talking. I can’t wait for the next time I can come back and you will too. David Scott is a responsive and warm host. If you’re visiting California and want to dive in to the Cali vibe or need to get out of the concrete LA basin, it’s a beautiful and easy hour drive.

Nicely laid out space. Plenty of room for 4 people and 2 dogs. All surfaces were clean and easy to clean. So many toys to use for the beach. Bikes, boogie boards, chairs and a wagon. Made it so much easier to pack. Great to have a laundry space. Parking was easy. Entering the place was easy. Ernie was very communicative. Loved the place. Will. Be back.

Unique little spot with amazing views. We were even able to get a bit of hiking in - Lisa gave us the inside scoop on how to walk from our lil trailer to the Topanga State Park trails. We spent some time in LA as well as Oxnard to go whale watching - couldn’t have been better situated to access all the good stuff and take some scenic drives (if you’re into that sort of thing). We are into that sort of thing. Well worth the money just for the atmosphere and nature (fell asleep to the croaks of the local frog population) though we didn’t see any. Comfy beds and restful sleep. Thank you!

Darryl’s beach cottage is relaxing, peaceful, and private for the ultimate ocean getaway with a nostalgic feel and modern amenities. It’s fully stocked with everything needed for a comfortable and restful stay. You arrive and see a breathtaking view and hear the roar of the ocean’s friendly greeting on a large patio with comfortable outdoor furniture, a BBQ, and charcoal (there was even sunscreen inside.) Darryl thought of everything for this studio cottage…kitchen is fully stocked with condiments, necessities, and cookware (it was our anniversary and Darryl had snacks and bevs waiting for us.) The bathroom has skin friendly soaps, plenty of nice towels and TP that isn’t the cheap scratchy stuff! Don’t get me started on the comfortable bed, my husband and I have different sleeping preferences and we both slept well on the bed, pillows and linens. It faces a large TV and we watched our fave show in comfort and style (we’re hoping to get the same bed now.) We’ll definitely return ASAP!

Great little house. Super cute. I will caution anyone who wants a soft bed, this is not the place for you. The beds are incredibly firm and make for tough sleeping if you’re a softer bed type. My husband would have loved the beds.

We were suddenly displaced during Eaton Canyon Fire. The Cottage was ideal, secure, familiar, friendly place to perch while we regrouped and looked for long term housing. Kristin and Richard were generous, kind, and understanding. Accomodated not only our family, but our pets as well. Great neighborhood, easy walk to dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, banks, two grocery stores.

This was a lovely staycation to get rest after I had a recent surgery - wonderful location and walking distance to great cafes, food, and many things. Parking is super easy which isn't a given for beach towns and Redondo especially. The hosts are responsive and helpful and had no issues at all. Would definitely recommend! Thank you again.

This is almost a tiny house-- about 12'*20', in the back yard of a house. There's a room about big enough for a queen bed, chairs, and a table, a much larger bathroom than you'd expect, and a galley kitchen with a small dining table. There's also a little porch to sit on. It all very cute and cozy. I'd say it's like a suite hotel, only you have much more privacy, plus more appliances, and access to a washer-drier, as well as a really friendly host. The house is maybe a mile from the pier at Huntington Beach in a quiet neighborhood. It's bike-friendly. Great place to stay!

The most well-appointed AirBB I’ve ever stayed at. The hosts have thought of everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly need during your stay. The place is what you see in the pictures and read in other reviews. It truly is a very private cottage tucked into the heart of Huntington Beach. You are only a short walk to the beach or the downtown restaurants and shops. The real bonus items are the fire table and BBQ. We brought our own groceries and had everything we needed to cook up our meals (saving money on eating out). The beach and pier are great walking destinations and we rented beach cruiser bikes on day to explore the Strand all the way to Newport and back (about an hour each way on a bike). If you stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

The tree house was a nice, cozy spot to relax after a long day of traveling from Baltimore, MD or after visiting our son who is currently going to college out in Cali. We visited during a rainy period and the temperature was easily adjusted with the remote. We really only slept and showered there. Comfortable bed, we didn’t use the trundle. We barely noticed the hosts or other homes around us.

Great space, great location, and it felt pretty private back there. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, charming, and cozy house. Many thoughtful tastes by the hosts! Left feeling so relaxed after a nice trip in LA! The attention to detail was impeccable, including a serene water feature outside each bedroom to give a natural sound to sleep over normal LA noises. Thanks again!

If you're looking for a cute place that's a 10 minute walk away from the beach, has a very comfortable bed, and everything you need, this is for you! The shower was also amazing with a steam setting available. Lots of great eateries around and Karen is very kind and a wonderful host. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone!
