First time staying here but have stayed at other Airbnbs by Oguri, who is an excellent host and always responsive. The place is easy to find, the building has a door code and the unit has a door code which made it easy to get in and out. Unfortunately you get a bit of traffic noise from outside because it’s next to a busy road. But the beds were super comfortable, full size kitchen with fridge and freezer. Has a washer but no dryer, but provides drying hangers. Everything was as described.

Okuri’s place is well maintained and nestled in a little town near Uji, accessible to Kyoto easily as well. Okuri speaks fluent English and is quite considerate. We met once after checking in and had a quick chat. Definitely recommend his place for people visiting Kansai.

Oguri-san was like having a local best friend. He helped me enjoy my time in Joyo and Kyoto during peak Sakura season immensely. He gave me several great recommendations for traditional Japanese dining, hot springs bathing and was extremely generous with his time.

This is one of the best places we’ve found through Airbnb. Everything is as described. The size of the apartment is perfect for two adults and one child - European standards. The kitchen is just what we need for a light breakfast/lunch. The level of cleanliness was one of the best we have ever seen. The location is perfect, close to the metro, train station and several bus stops. The communication through the application was perfect, only at the reception there was a nice Japanese girl who was struggling a bit with her English but she was very kind and helpful. Overall great Japanese experience and would definitely recommend this place. We had a wonderful week in Kyoto and I am sure this hotel was a big part of that experience.

There are 2 stations nearby, one is 5 minutes away, one is 12 minutes away. In a perfect quiet neighborhood in Kyoto, far enough from Gion to have quiet and be chaos-free, but only a 30 minute train ride away. It was clean, had a great bathroom, and check in was very easy. There is no elevator though there are only 3 floors, so keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage! Thank you, we enjoyed our stay a lot!

We loved our stay at Tokihouse and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Kyoto! The value of what you get for what you pay is incredible. It was conveniently located 10 minutes away from Sanjo station, making it very easy to get around the city. The apartment was clean and very spacious, with a big storage closet for our luggage - a rare find in Japan! The beds were very comfy and we slept over 9 hours every night- the best sleep of our whole trip! it was very quiet at nighttime. Papuru even has free snacks, water, and extra toiletries available if you need them in the front entrance. we also loved having access to a washer and dryer! The heated table was also very nice, as we visited in January and it was cold - so it was wonderful to wake up and drink our coffee sitting on the warm floor, or come home from a day of exploring to the warmth!

Excellent place to get a Japanese-style living experience. We were three travelers with a hefty amount of luggage and the space was plenty for us. Relaxing on top of the heated mat is a luxury for colder weathers. The neighborhood itself was quiet, and there was lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The subway station was also close by. I would definitely recommend this place for three people.

房间所在的墨染町离伏见的各个景点很近，可以很方便地前往，要去其他景点的话坐京阪本线也很方便。房间整洁干净，周边特别安静。

Very clean, relatively close to a few different train lines

absolutely beautiful, could not have picked a better place to stay, we watch the sun set from our balcony over kyoto it was magical, easy self check in and check out. room was clean, tidy and very well presented. we cannot wait to come back to japan and visit again. we wish we stayed longer here.
