Natalie communicated well, welcomed us and let us store our bags prior to check in and has the most amazing house. I would have loved to stay longer. We found the location extremely convenient based on its location close to Tofukuji. I hope to come and stay again one day.

We loved our stay in this guest house. Close to lots of places to eat, handy supermarkets, bus routes to anywhere we needed to get to, & the beautiful Philosophers Path with amazing cherry blossom. Great shower and comfortable beds

A very warm and welcoming host, he made us feel right at home. The house itself was very cozy!! Additionally, it was very clean and had everything we needed :) very good location as it was near many yummy restaurants and close to the station which took us right into the city.

Very nice place to stay at and very convenient location. Home was spacious. There was a problem with the smell (due to extreme weather conditions prior, uncontrollable), Host immediately made sure issue was solved.

This is a beautiful old house in the best area of Kyoto. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I will come again if im in the area.

We had a lovely time at Miro’s bnb. The house was beautiful and had a traditional Japanese feel, perfect for a trip to Kyoto. The house is in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, though still close enough to walk to local attractions. I would highly consider booking here again.

Riri’s place was amazing - a traditional machiya townhome but with all the modern conveniences for travel. The townhome was beautiful and spacious with special touches such as a small garden. The location is in a great location for sightseeing in Kyoto and walking distance to many restaurants and sights. Riri was especially responsive and helpful, even sending some restaurant suggestions ahead for my daughter who has food allergies. I highly recommend this townhome for a memorable experience in Kyoto.

The hosts are very attentive, showed us around at the check in and visiting places. They even showed us where to park by driving us to the parking area. They provided great amenities . Room is clean and neat. Will definitely come back when we travel to Kyoto again.

Wonderful host and the space is great!! Spacious and clean. Short walk to convenience stores, restaurants, and local sights. Great washer and dryer. Comfortable beds. Host available for communication and very accommodating. Felt like I was right at home and would love to stay again. I highly recommend! recommend!

We had a comfortable stay and it was in a great location. I should have paid more attention to the listing because there isn’t enough room in the bedroom for a third bed. One of us slept in the kitchen and it really wasn’t roomy enough for three people to stay for a long period of time but it worked for our needs.

Beautiful house on quiet street that is accessed by walking a short distance on a narrow street. The house was thoughtfully decorated and had a wonderful atmosphere. You walk 5-10 minutes and you’re in the busy district of narrow streets and temples. When you get home to the house it is very quiet and tranquil. It was a nice place to call home and rest before venturing back out into the busy streets of Kyoto. It was roughly $10 USD to get from Kyoto train station to the house via cab. The cab driver can’t take you all of the way to the house, so you have to walk 2 mins with your bags to the door. The house is backed up against a freeway overpass. While not ideal aesthetically it didn’t bother us in any way. The house feels very private and quiet. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Enabled us to have an amazing holiday, with a clear focus on our experience and journey. We found ourselves wanting to go back and relax at the house every day envious that we couldn’t stay more.

Karen was very responsive, whenever I texted her within minutes, she would text back. The house was very clean. After checking out we stored our luggage for a couple of hours in the house. It helped a lot, because our plane didn’t leave until 5:00pm. The store was only 3 minute walk, so that was great too.

We had a wonderful stay at this private home in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, right by the river. The location is perfect—close to plenty of restaurants, shrines, and public transport, making it ideal for exploring the city. The house itself was cozy, clean, and spacious, with a separate street entrance offering complete privacy. It was perfect for our family of three. The host was fantastic, offering great communication and helpful local advice that made our trip even more enjoyable. We felt completely at home and appreciated the peaceful ambiance. Highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone visiting Kyoto!

This was a great place to stay for three people, the location is private and quiet at night. The amenities were exactly as listed, and everything was very clean. The washer/dryer and wifi were very convenient, and the air conditioning was able to warm up the room in no time, so don’t worry about visiting during cold weather. The location is ideal for visiting surrounding areas in Kyoto such as Shimogamo shrine, Kamogawa delta, Kyoto Gyoen National Garden, as well as the Gion district which is only a short train ride away, Ichijoji station is a 5-minute walk away. There are also a variety of shops and restaurants in the surrounding areas, including many ramen restaurants. Last but not least, the owner is very responsive and understanding. Please stay here if you want a more peaceful residential area that still provides easy access to the major sightseeing spots in Kyoto.
