The place is so spacious, the biggest room we’ve stayed in Japan so far. The host is very responsive. Replies right away. You can check-in anytime, just inform the host. She even gave us train directions going to the places we want.

Tae was an amazing host, communication was great, she gave me some very helpful tips on how to get around and even checked-in to see how I was doing on my day trip. The place itself is something special, it takes a bit of research to get there using public transport, but if you value unique experiences, this one is a must-do. Location is quiet and peaceful.

I had a very good value stay in Itabashi! The space is simple and no-frills, but it covers all the essentials — clean shower with complete amenities, reliable AC and heater, and a great location just 8 minutes from the nearest subway station. It's also close to local shops, grocery, drug stores, and some top-rated restaurants, which made exploring the area super convenient. The host was very friendly and gave clear instructions, which made check-in and the entire stay smooth. One small note: the bed and pillow were on the firmer side. It might be part of the traditional Japanese style (and maybe even good for the back!), but just something to keep in mind for those used to softer bedding. Overall, it’s an excellent budget-friendly stay, and I’d recommend it for travelers looking for a solid, affordable base in Tokyo!

The host is extremely friendly and helpful. He is eager to explain city's attractive spots. The room is big for one person.

Mon ami moi avons très bien été accueilli. Jiji est venu nous chercher à la station de train le soir. le lendemain de notre arrivée, il nous a fait visiter la ville de Iga avec lui en voiture. nous sommes allés visiter le château d'Ueno, le musée de Ninja Iga-Ryu, en plus qu'il nous a invité à la boutique de son ami (un salon de thé) à Iga. Bref, nous sommes restés 3 soirs et durant toute la durée de notre séjour, Jiji et Toyo on fait de leurs possible et du mieux qu'ils pouvaient pour répondre à nos besoins, attentes et nous offrir une hospitalisé de rois.

とてもとても優しいオーナーさんでした！！！チェックインも道を間違ってしまって時間が過ぎてしまったのですが、到着後丁寧にご対応していただき安心しました！すごく綺麗なお部屋でした！！久しぶりの幼馴染との旅行満喫できました！！一緒にやってる参鶏湯のお店を利用したかったのですが、友人の時間の都合で寄れなかったためまた来た際にはぜひ食べに行きたいです！！

Perfect space for one person. The vicinity to Shinjuku station, Kabukicho, restaurants and shops were a huge plus. Everything I wanted was within 5-15 minutes away by walking. Kasha was very quick to respond and they allowed me to check in two hours early because I’d arrived in Tokyo earlier than expected. Everything that I needed was available for me to to use as well which was extremely helpful (iron, laundry detergent, laundry basket, deodorizer) and the laundry machines were free to use so I saved some money by not going to a coin laundry. The only negative I can think of is how loud the neighbours were. Obviously this is out of the host’s control and it’s expected when you’re staying at a hotel that some other guests can sometimes be loud or annoying but it seemed like whoever was staying in the unit next to me would be speaking very loudly to someone else on speaker phone and I could hear them through the walls. Luckily they didn’t do this late at night so I slept fine.

We rented both of Yuko's apartments (separated by an external staircase) for 7 people (3 generations). The ground floor is very warm and is particularly charming with a garden (view only), heated floors and of course reverse cycle air con, futon beds and a single western bed, a washer dryer and a newer tv (for hooking up our nintendo switch to). Upstairs is also well equipped (no dryer or heated floors) with bunk beds and single beds, slightly less warm in the bunk beds area which honestly the teens liked. Both bathrooms have great hot water pressure. Yuko clearly thought of everything and the place was so neat and lovely. She is so helpful to communicate with. The suburb is peaceful and easy to get to using the pink "E" subway. Great connectivity to other areas of Tokyo, just hop on that "E" subway then a connecting train and you're anywhere you want to be. Multiple supermarkets nearby, and FamilyMart (most staff speak English). We will stay again when we visit Japan in the future!

Der einwöchige Aufenthalt bei Yukiko, war das Highlight,unserer kompletten Reise. Yukiko und ihre Familie sind einfache fantastisch. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und die Unterkunft ist einfach perfekt. Ein sehr sehr bequemes Bett und sehr sehr gute Bettwäsche. Man hat eine eigene Waschmaschine mit Trocknerfunktion zu Verfügung. Das Zimmer ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und für zwei Personen mehr als ausreichend. Der japanische Garten, war auch ein Highlight. Wir haben es sehr genossen den morgendlichen Kaffee dort zu trinken. Yukiko war immer da, wenn wir Fragen hatten und trotzdem unsichtbar. Niemand sollte sich Gedanken machen,dass man durch das Wohnzimmer der Familie geht um in den eigenen Bereiche zu kommen. Dies stellt überhaupt keine Einschränkung dar. Wir hätten dort Monate verbringen/ und wohnen können. Mit den zur Verfügung gestelltenFahrrädern,haben wir viele Ausflüge gemacht. Diese Unterkunft ist eine 100 von 10. Sehr sehr zu empfehlen.

very spacious place, we were surprised by the space when we came in. the location is fantastic, right in the heart of Gion and everything was very accessible. Our host was gracious to show us everything we needed to know about the place. Finally, it's on the 2nd floor with a staircase to get up and there are two keypadded doors to get through. This can be a little bit of extra work compared to staying at a hotel but worth the trade off.

Yuko was very communicative when we needed help checking in and extending the stay slightly. The place is not on GPS and she gave amazing detailed instructions to find it. Would come back!
