Great location with a beautiful view. In such a nice little town and we had lots of fun at the late. Great for the whole family!

Amazing place with a fantastic view. It was quite remote but that made it so special and relaxing for us. Nick was amazing and even got us wood and helped us make a fire. We also used the spa and just in general had a fantastic time.

Lovely large old villa. Well insulated with great heating and cooling ammenities. Large rooms with very comfortable beds, even the bunks have quality mattresses. Very clean throughout. We only stayed a short time but would love to come again and be able to enjoy the outdoor space and lounging, it’s very large, private with large gardens and trees.

Nicola went above and beyond for me and my friends for my 40th birthday. The house has so much character and so much to do. The tennis court and swimming pool were an added bonus on top of everything else. The house had everything we needed. Great place for everyone to enjoy.

We absolutely loved the house, and our stay couldn’t have been better. It’s a spacious home with everything you could wish for. After a long day, it was a real treat to relax in the hot spa, and the boys especially enjoyed the sauna. John’s communication and the information he provided about the house and Taupo were wonderful. We would highly recommend booking this house for a fantastic experience, just as we had.

A taste of Tuscany in Newstead is all we can say!! Great indoor outdoor flow with all the amenities to keep people active and engaged. The tennis court provided entertainment and controversy while the spa and pool provided relaxation and ambiance. The complementary bubbles received on arrival was well needed after a long trip with a talkative passenger. Great entertainment facilities and loved the touch of country surroundings, would stay again.

A home away from home! Very clean, great quiet spot with more than everything you need!

This is an awesome home. Well furnished and the kitchen has every item you need to cook up a feast. Very spacious and the swim in the river was great. We will be back one day.

Garys place is in a beautiful location and has wonderful views of the lake, the jetty and lake access was a real bonus. The bedroom and bathrooms set up were perfect and decorated really nicely, good wifi if you want it too and walkable to the main jetty area and town. thank you also for allowing us to bring our little dogs, it made for a wonderful holiday.

We absolutely loved staying at Vanessa’s place. We spent the last nights of our NZ trip there and were able to host my family for dinner. This is such a beautiful space and would definitely stay again next time we are in Auckland.

Fabulous host - clean apartment and very well stocked

Peter’s AirBNB is gorgeous and well stocked. He was friendly, responsive, and on premise much of our stay (which is a private section of his home), but also great about giving us privacy. We especially enjoyed the pool and charming garden spaces - as well as the breakfast food and tea/coffee provided. A few notes that weren’t fully clear to me before arriving: >Washer is on site but generally not for guest use (though we got the OK to do a couple loads when we asked) > There is no living room or indoor common area of the Airbnb space. > There are gorgeous outdoor spaces with shade covering to enjoy for meals at home - but only bedroom/hallway space available indoors for “hang out space” > The Rotary walk area is easily accessible from this space - and the views are even better than the pictures :)

Really enjoyed my stay, perfect location if you want to be close to the centre of Howick. Clear instructions, private. Peaceful, nice quiet Aircon, super comfy bed and pillow. Has everything you need. Very organised, well thought out. Good communication, Ali really cares about his guests having a great stay. Awesome value, I highly recommend this Airbnb.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Jane’s place! The house is lovely, with a beautiful green setting and a fantastic garden where we enjoyed relaxing. The bed and couch were both large and very comfortable, making our stay extra enjoyable. Andrew and Jane were friendly and communicative hosts. The location was peaceful, and we loved listening to the birds in the garden. Overall, a great place to stay!

Highly recommend for all! We are a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay here. It is nice and close to everything and walking distance to Hahei resort. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay. Fleur was friendly and had prompt communication. We would stay here again :)

Although we didn’t meet our hosts our stay really lovely. Easy access, very clean and charming surroundings. Loved the extra treats upon our arrival and your breakfast basket. Will definitely recommend to others and stay again if available. Loved visiting our ‘old haunts’ of West Auckland from 25 years ago. Thank you so much.

Mathew's place is truly special — from the fun 4x4 ride through a deer park to the cabin, to the stunning views, total privacy and the covered barbecue area. Just know that it’s quite off the grid, which adds to the charm but also means it’s a bit rustic — the space wasn’t spotless (some dead insects in the outdoor shower, beddings didn’t feel fresh), but it felt understandable given the remote location. The ride with Mathew was super fun (we stood on the back and held the rails!) but it was raining, so we arrived completely wet — not a problem as we had jackets but might not suit everyone. When we arrived it was foggy, so we didn’t see the view until the second evening — but when it cleared, it was absolutely worth it. We recommend coming once and staying put — we walked 45 minutes back to our car as we had some program in between, but it's a nice walk. All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for something different who doesn't mind a bit of adventure.

Incredible walks, cafes & everything you might need within 5 mins drive. Loved the homemade brownie & muesli - a magical & delicious touch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful, peaceful location with lovely amenities! The eco-toilet was cool (no issues or smell, and a really intriguing way to be “off grid”), the outdoor tubs were fun to soak in and stargaze, the bed was comfy, and the farm animals were so sweet. Corrine was so kind and accommodating, super helpful with local recommendations and very sweetly helped us solve some luggage issues we had. We would absolutely recommend this spot for a quiet, private place away from the hustle of “Rotovegas” but also close enough to many local hotspots and services.

Our roadtrip took an unexpected change in route so we unfortunately didn't make it out to Rachel's place (which we were very bummed about given how cozy and characterful the log style home it!). When I reached out to Rachel she was very understanding, responsive, friendly and even tried to work with us and be flexible with our arrangement- something she was not at all obligated to do. Next time around, we will try to come back- the surrounding area looks enchanting and we are anxious to explore Coromandel Peninsula!! Rachel was extremely helpful too!!

The Airbnb sits on the top of a hill by itself overlooking the farm, and has a wicked view of Tauranga Moana and Mayor Island - so beautiful! The layout was open, but private and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor flow. The trek down to the river was so worth it, and we got to spend a few hours by the river, just enjoying nature and sounds of the water and birdsong, which we had all to ourselves. The sky was so clear that night, so we enjoyed the outdoor fire while watching the stars. This was a top 5 place for us and we hope to be back at some stage. Thank you Matthew and whanau for being so accommodating and friendly - we appreciate the hard work it took to make such a beautiful Airbnb :)

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake

We had a lovely stay at Jess and Joni’s farm. Our daughter absolutely loved feeding the animals and toasting marshmallows on the open fire under the stars. Jess made sure we had everything we needed and was a very responsive and kind host. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing stay in the country!
