A nice, clean house - the location is as described, and is kitted out with practical but basic furnishings, enough to have everything you need, but without feeling too comfortable (!). Ideal for families and those staying in Rotorua for the outdoor activities. It was fine for us for one night's stay. We'd suggest having lamps in the living room so that it could feel less like a hostel, and larger groups would probably appreciate having enough seating for everyone in that room - as it's set up for a scant few in spite of the spaciousness. Would have preferred the full use of the closet in one of the bedrooms, rather than a random mattress occupying it.

As a group of 8 people we had a great time during summer here. The hosts were of great help when we had some “parking issues” with our trailer - they organized someone to pull us out of a ditch ;-) and that truly saved our vacation. That was amazing. Whatever was missing was quickly organized. Unfortunately an all-year fire ban on GBI meant we were not allowed to use the outdoor fire place, and since the nights get cold quickly we were looking forward to sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, which obviously did not happen. Also, the utility of the massive balcony is close to nil - it was either burning hot or freezing cold out there. In that regard, if you look at this place, consider that what you get is somewhat less than what you might expect from the pictures alone. Despite these drawbacks we would love to come back any time.

Our No1 choice for Best Airbnb in Auckland. A top Airbnb, just a slice of paradise, which we absolutely loved and will return to. Ideal if you are visiting New Zealand, especially after a long journey to relax and recover before heading off for further trips. Situated around 20 minutes from down town Auckland and airport the ideal home. Eva’s home is welcoming, clean and fabulous. The location is stunning and peaceful with the sandy beach, shops, cafes and restaurants handy on your doorstep on Eastern beach for a swim and fish and chips supper. You will also have Buckland beach just a few minutes’ drive away on the other side of the peninsular along also beautiful Mellons Bay Marina a short drive away. Eva and Tony were brilliant hosts in communicating so helpfully. We highly recommend a stay with them, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Eva and Tony for two wonderful stays at your lovely Airbnb.

Beautiful home , was perfect for our trip. Very tidy, well-kept home. Comfy beds, 3 bathrooms with body wash and shampoo , just enough toilet paper to cover our stay of 3 nights (7 of us) and a washing machine + dryers (+washing powder) which helped as we all travelled light. Check in was easy, hosts were responsive and non invasive Went with a group of friends and there were no spare blankets or pillows, just the one blanket on each bed. Pretty warm in Auckland during our stay so nobody was cold but no option for everyone to have their own blanket or sleep on the couch. When I asked the host if there were any spares they advised there were none available so keep that in mind if you’re planning on staying here. Access to more towels + toilet paper + spare blankets /pillows would have been ideal considering the amount people pay to stay at airbnbs but overall very happy with our stay. We had brought in an iron which my friend forgot to take back, so we gifted it to the cleaner!

This place is amazing and beautiful. The house is very well maintained and as it looks in the pictures. The pool was clean and big and nice, hot tub was also great. The house is very spacious and has a great speaker system. Check in was easy and you truly have the entire estate to yourself. My only negative feedback was on the golf course. I booked this place so I could play golf and the course is unplayable. Still had fun hitting balls around but it’s not been well maintained. Also, the bbq wasn’t clean enough to cook on. Everything else was great.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

Great to deal with the host, just everything was perfect. Flexible check in and check out process with great communication. The place was spotless and beds are very comfortable. One of the best air bnb places that we ever tried. We will definitely come back again.

We recently stayed at Jenny’s house with extended family, overall we had a fantastic time. The house has unbeatable views, is well stocked with the basics, and the pool/hot tub were great. It is also a very quick drive to Hot Water beach and Hahei. Jenny was also very responsive and a wonderful host. We would certainly go back for another stay.

Really beautiful place to stay, quite close to Hobbiton and Matamata. Nice distance from other houses if you're looking for a more private location. Caren is lovely and really responsive.

Sylvie’s house was an absolute dream!! Everything from the views, the decor, the location- it was all amazing. There were lots of little touches that made it feel like a really welcoming and comfortable home too (not a soulless holiday let), which made it even more special. Sylvie was incredibly warm, accommodating, and responsive- overall a really lovely host. Thank you for an amazing stay, we really hope to come back one day!

This spacious home was perfect for our group of five. It was very close to all the activities we had planned. The deck and pool were very nice although we were too busy to take advantage of it. The host was responsive to our questions and check in and check out was easy.

Extremely beautiful place. We were wowed by the views when we got to the apartment. The apartment itself is perfect for returning to after a day out to chill and watch the sun go down in the hot tub. We will definitely be back.

This house was absolutely incredible! The photos honestly didn’t do it justice it was just massive and the pool with the stunning view was a dream. The projector was also such a great touch and our guests had a lot of fun watching music videos and doing karaoke in the large room. Daisy’s communication was great throughout the process too. My only feedback would be there wasn’t enough basic kitchen items such as larger plates and platters for cheese boards or any salt, pepper and sugar that we could see so would suggest bringing your own! But apart from that super minor inconvenience everything else was incredible and everyone had an amazing time! Would love to return some day!

Abi's home is a period style gem in a great neighbourhood. It is a particularly stylish house that also manages to hit that sweet spot of a very being comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and the living space is great, especially with the doors rolled back to make use of the outdoor deck. Being summertime in NZ, we took full advantage of the swimming pool, spending hours at a time chilling out there. The neighbourhood is perfectly located, with a supermarket and very appealing cafes and parks just a block away. Even better, it is only a 10 minute walk to the high street in Ponsonby where everything you could want is located in terms of shops, bars & restaurants. The kitchen is great and really well set up with everything you would need to cook a big family dinner which is exactly what we enjoyed. Abi was very gracious in all of her communications with us, being very flexible to our travel arrangements. This is the perfect stay in Auckland, with everything you need to either stay in and enjoy the space or get out and stuck into the cafe culture of Auckland.

We have had the most amazing time staying at the villa, it was even better than the photos. The house was absolutely beautiful, huge and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable with beautiful linen, the kitchen had lovely tableware, an amazing coffee machine and everything we needed and the pool was just the best fun! Channy was extremely responsive to messages and made out check in and check out very easy. Thank you so much Channy we will definitely love to stay here again!

This is a gorgeous place in a country setting with a remarkable outdoor lounge/dining, fireplace, BBQ, and pool. The interior is also spectacular. Kaaren and Tim are the loveliest and most accommodating hosts, who responded to all our requests and went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. They were also extremely attentive to our privacy. The home is scrupulously clean, quiet, with lovely baths and comfortable beds. This was a paradise to come home to and relax after our conference.

The size of the house and facilities provided were very good for a 7 night stay for our family; my wife and I, our sons and partners and 2 young grandsons. Checkin was simple and we found a very clean house. Our bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The owners were very responsive to a couple of queries we had and even provided some additional facilities to assist us, thank you. The house appears to be a 1970-80s style and fit out, and had numerous useful living/ dining areas. Our family and especially our grandchildren loved the swimming pool, spa (which was always warm) and the sauna; the large pool table provided lots of fun and entertainment for the men of the family. There is a small but useful shopping block about 600m away at the start of the street where we purchased supplies, had a meal, and regular morning coffee and snacks, very useful. Lastly, there is a lovely long riverside walkway and parks within a couple of mins walk.

We're a group of five (3 adults, 2 kids (4 and 6 years)) and stayed at TJ's place for two weeks. We booked this house due to it's proximity to Ponsonby road, because we like to have cool things within walking distance: lots of restaurants, shops and parks with playgrounds (Grey Lynn Park is our absolute favorite). And of course the heated pool was also a big bonus for booking this place as it kept the young ones entertained :) TJ was very communicative and was always there for us, when we needed her. She put a lot of love into her house. Wifi was fast and stable. It was very clean and we enjoyed our stay here.
