I had a great stay in this Airbnb. The host adapted to our baby needs and had a crib and high chair ready for us. They also let us check in a bit early since the apartment was ready. Great location too! Would definitely recommend !!

The location is in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from the Keihan line, which runs up and down the city and will take you all the way to Osaka if needed. If you like walking, you can get to Kawaramachi and Kyoto Station and beyond. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, equipped with everything I needed and more. The coffee table and entryway were stocked with a number of travel pamphlets. The building itself is charming in a very '80s way, but the elevator is smooth and quiet. Last but certainly not least, Sumi is a true superhost, bringing much-needed Kyoto hospitality to Airbnb accommodations. She was ready to help with anything related to my trip, even things I hadn't though of yet.

Sumi’s place was a great base in Kyoto. Plenty of things to see and great restaurants within a 15 min walk, and pretty easy to get elsewhere on transit. The place felt spacious and comfortable. As others have mentioned, Sumi is a stellar host - so friendly and responsive.

Sumi a été une hôte formidable. Elle nous a donné des instructions claires pour se rendre, nous attendait dehors à notre arrivée et était disponible si nous avions des questions. Le logement est spacieux, bien équipé et correspond aux photos. À quelques minutes de marche de plusieurs temples et de restaurants. Je recommande ce logement dans hésiter!

This place is homey, comfortable and clean. The two baths make it a perfect place during winter after a big day exploring Kyoto. It is around 10minutes from shopping, traditional areas and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay here. The room is spacious and has all the necessary amenities. It's easy to find via Google maps and the host gives very clear instructions. The room itself is a great mix of Western-style (with a bed and sofa) with a Japanese-style living room. It's located pretty close to Shichijo station, where you can easily access a lot of popular tourist spots. There's also buses that allow access to most of the city. First thing to consider, is that getting here requires a 15-20 minute walk from Kyoto station which can be a bit challenging with luggage; buses don't allow large suitcases so walking is the only option. Second, this place is a walk-up and has no elevator so you may have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs. These however are very minor issues and do not take away from how wonderful our stay in Kyoto was. Would 100% come back here on my next visit.

This place was perfect for my family! We were nervous initially because it was on a higher floor but there was a small elevator that fit three adults and two small umbrella strollers. Just barely but we made it in one elevator to. The tatami beds were so comfortable and perfect for our two toddlers! The amenities provided were so thoughtful, the slippers, washing machine, paper towels and hand towels in the kitchen were lovely to have! The bathtub was beautiful!!! This place was wonderful. Location was in such a sweet and serene area overlooking the canal. The home was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were responsive when I had trouble with washing machine and offered multiple solutions. We were close to many nice shops, restaurants and subway lines. We would definitely stay here again and we're said to leave such a great property.

Peaceful spot, very clean home with all the basics for a comfortable stay. We spent 4 nights and walked all over the city using this home as our base. We enjoyed our stay in this quaint Japanese style place.

Our stay in this Airbnb was lovely! The place is ~15-20 min walk to Kyoto Station which allowed us to easily travel to the different sight seeing areas, and is located next to a beautiful cherry blossom tree which we admired every day. The accommodation was well presented and clean, and had lots of amenities provided which made us feel right at home! Check in was super easy and Saki was very responsive. Thank you for having us!

This was the most spacious and comfortable Airbnb I’ve been to in my 3 trip to Japan. Enough room for everyone and very accommodating as well. Lots of wonderful restaurants just a few block away. The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful this stay is would recommend to anyone who’s visiting Kyoto.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay here! The room and bathroom were very spacious, and we loved the slanted windows - everything was exactly as pictured. The host was very responsive once our reservation began - you won’t receive check-in instructions until the day of the reservation though, so don’t be worried as long as you got the initial confirmation message from the host. Washer and dryer was on the roof of the building, but there were several, and they worked well. Air conditioning/heater worked quickly, we were there for a few very cold days. Overall, this is a comfortable, spacious Airbnb for a couple to stay at, and it was a great value for the price! Would definitely recommend:)

This was my 2nd time in kyoto and again in the same house! It's as great of an experience as before! The house is located 10 minutes away from subway station, making it very easy to traverse around kyoto. There are great restaurants and spots to eat at nearby. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely gorgeous place with very welcoming hosts. We had a great time and we were served delicious dinner and breakfast after we took a bike ride around the neighborhood to see the gorgeous local temples and vistas
